I enjoyed the video very much. John Fogerty doesn't get the credit he deserves as a solo artist. My favorites are 1. Blue Moon Swamp 2. Centerfield 3. Revival.

Yeah they are his best 3 albums quite clearly.
I didn’t agree with a lot of what this guy said actually. But that’s his opinion which he’s entitled to.
But he had Centerfield way too low. It’s a classic. No way is Eye Of The Zombie or Deja Vu better or even as good as Centrefield.
      1. Centrefield
      2. Blue Moon Swamp
      3. Revival
      4. John Fogarty
      5. Eye Of The Zombie
      6. Déjà Vu
      7. Blue Ridge Rangers
They are the only 7 I own

Yes i agree. Although John's solo material isn't as strong as CCR when looked at album by album. It should be kept in mind that Solo albums came in way longer time period than CCR. Also his state of mind wasn't as happy and productive much of the time.

@@JCStorm76 We all have our opinions on records and that's as it should be. In no way i said that Zombie would be better than any of his other albums. I clearly said it is by far his worst album. To me both Centerfield and Deja Vu All Over Again have about half good songs and half bad songs, i just think the good songs on Deja Vu are better than those on Centerfield.

Hi Pasi, cool to see John Fogerty's solo material get shown. My top 3 would be 1. Blue Moon Swamp, 2. Centerfield, 3, John Fogerty 1975. I have also heard the unreleased Hoodoo album and it is very weak. Eye of the Zombie is a grower though. Nice video!

From the couple of comments i've got it seems, just as i expected, Centerfield is more appreciated by people than me. I forgot to say that the tracks from Hoodoo that i heard were from bootleg tape which had been taped again and again hence the very bad quality. Didn't like the tracks i heard either. Of course it is possible Zombie could be a grower, i just don't see any reason why i should give it any more chances. The way i see it, it's place is at the bottom of the pile and for a good reason.

Thanks for your review. I'm also a JF follower. Below some additional comments.
So far the song 'Holly Grail' JF duet with Bill Gibbons ZZTOP is only available as a download.
In my opinion JF should do an album with the Widespread Panic Band. On you tube you can find some live performances of WP with JF as guest. Those performances are great. You can really see that JF enjoys playing with that band.
    For your info below a list of albums i have where JF also performs as guest or plays someone else songs;
Dr John celebration cd/dvd : JF performs 'New Orleans'
Carl Perkins 'GO CAT GO' : JF duet on 'All mama's children'
Cajun music 'Evangeline Made' : JF on 'Diggy Liggy'
Jerry Douglas 'The best kept secret' : JF on 'Swing Blues nr 1' . (in my view one of JF best singing ever !!!!)
Ricky Skaggs 'The songs of Bill Monroe' : JF 'Blue Moon of Kentucky
Earl Scruggs & Friends - JF on 'Blue Rich Mountain Blues' and plays guitar on' Foggy Mountain Rock/Mountain Special'
Rock and roll hall of Fane Concert 25 anniversary : Bruce Springsteen and E street Band duets with JF - 'Fortunate Son & Oh Pretty Woman.
I have also live album John Fogerty on stage 2007 - Soundstage Studios sound great. ( I have various bootlegs which i don't mention in detail) they include ''My toot toot'' which i believe was historically only released as a B site of a single and
    'Coming down the road'
i have the Revival Album with Bonus DVD 2000 TOUR EDITION containing Green River, Ramble Tamble, Keep on Chooglin, Sweet Hitch hiker and and don't you wish it was true.
Centerfold & Blue Moon Swamp were also rereleased with bonus tracks
I hope that JF brings out some new material in 2023...

Thanks for the comprehensive answer. I'm aware of Widespread Panic as a name only. Now that you mentioned it, i do recall seeing that Tour edition cd+dvd, but had forgotten it about it. For the guest album list i can add Jerry Lee Lewis Last Man Standing (if memory serves). Didn't know about bonus tracks on Centerfield, but did knew about Blue Moon Swamp. Those bonus tracks were supposed to come as a download with the vinyl, but didn't. At least not with my copy.

Thanks for the John Fogerty overview. Seems like he's had a lot of legal issues over the years. Interesting that he came back to Blue Ridge Rangers to try and improve on the sound. Too bad about the song selection on the Red Rocks live album, but I can tell you if I went to see him perform I would want to hear the CCR songs lol. But I understand what you're saying - if I'm going to listen to live performance of CCR songs I'll listen to live CCR. I love the cover of Fogerty's Factory, an homage to Cosmo's factory. That's interesting about the DVD - you loved it when you saw it live but it seemed to fast on the DVD. I never thought about that before. I'm going to listen to some CCR now - happy new year Pasi!

John had a very long and very complicated legal issues and he is still bitter over them. The two Blue Ridge Rangers albums are different, not rerecordings. When i have seen Fogerty live i've wanted to hear CCR songs too and enjoyed them very much. Listening to records is different to live experience.
      Happy New Year.

I don't really know John Fogerty's solo work at all, beyond 'Eye of the Zombie' which I picked up on vinyl shortly after discovering the VC. I listened to it a few times and thought it was OK but it did end up being purged. Given that it's come at the bottom of your list, I clearly need to listen to some of the others! Have a great new year Pasi.

Sometimes we end up starting with the wrong record and Eye Of The Zombie is definitely the wrong one. My brother has a couple of Dave Edmunds records which i believe are his worst ones. I have had a hard time trying to persuade to give Dave a better chance.

This was a good lesson about John's solo stuff. I've never cared for his solo albums and stuff. The only exception is the song ROCKING ALL OVER THE WORLD. I think I've heard John's studio version just once but Status Quo's version is one of the best rock'n'roll songs ever !!! 💪😎👌
A couple of weeks ago I heard some live version of it by John and it sounded bloody good! From which live album is it from? 🤔
No matter what, John has written some evergreen classics,

I agree i prefer Status Quo's version. John's live version is from Premonition. It's easy to stay within CCR, their quality is so good. I don't think he's written anything as catchy the same way, but still very much worth checking out and to enjoy.
