Ugh so frustrating how much religion hurts our community.. my family left UK because of religion … so glad I grew up with out any expectation or rules for existence… ♥️♥️♥️ sending you both love!
I am 64, and have been through all of this, but I never had trouble making male friends until I got older....in my 20s and 30s I usually sought and ended up going to bed with them. And so I never really made any male "friends", just secret lovers or targets. The heartbreak comes when playtime is over for them and they reject you, and its bad. As I get older I don't want "straight" guys who sleep with me in secret, I want a real honest relationship with a man. I think the secret relationships were unhealthy and self esteem crushing. I never ever saw anyone discuss this stuff like you do. Just hearing someone else say these things and realizing Im not the only one was like a hundred pound weight coming off of me. In High School, my best friend's father came out, divorced his wife and moved in with his boyfriend. He was a former Navy Seal and father of four, all man. I admired his courage to be authentic...he passed a few years ago but just knowing him was enough for my own self esteem to stay intact through the years....Thank you for your realness, Tyler, and you too, Keke.
I was wondering where I had seen Keke from!! I totally watched his show. He's a sweetheart! Oh man, I came from a conservative religion as well. MAN! The stories I have to tell. It can eat you alive if you are queer. I'm glad both of you were able to find your own voice amid all the rhetoric.
