Welcome to the Six-Megapixel Club. The EasyShare C-series cameras were the "consumer" Kodak digicams at that time with the Z-series cameras being more of a "pro-sumer" camera line. The C633 is a CCD-based camera, specifically Kodak's "Color Science Chip" which is particularly known for its color rendition.
Some other notes: The Scene setting defaults to portrait, but other modes are selectable using the 4-way selector and OK button. The Share button is intended to work with the bundled EasyShare software.
A possibly interesting comparison might be to compare the C633 to a Z760. The sensors should be similar, but the latter has Program, Aperature-priority, Shutter-priority, and Manual modes in addition to the modes on the C633. Just make sure to get the battery and charger for the Z760 as it does not use AA batteries.
I've never heard of the Z760! I'll have to check it out!
I enjoyed your video!! Very well thought out!! Right now there is a 'craze' of using older digital cameras that have a old film look. I have two Kodak Easy Share. I have a M577 and a Z915. I love the M577 because it has a Schneider lens and built in film filters: Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Kodacolor, and b&w: T-Max, Tri-Max, and Sepia. The M577 I paid $3 for and $8 for the Z915 I just got. But I also have a Olympus FE170, Canon SD1100 and SD1200, Nikon Coolpix S4300 and S 5600. Yes I have DSLRs but I find these older point and shoot compact cameras easier to carry and have at all times with me and they challenge my photography. Yes I could use my cell phone but then I find my attention and concentration on photographing being affected because I start checking my messages, texts, and social media on my phone instead of taking photos. Best of luck in your photography journey!!
Best
Duane
I appreciate your feedback! I'm excited to make some new videos!
How do you convert the photos to your computer??
Love this presentation! I myself have a Kodak Easy Share that I found in a bag I bought for $20 that had a Canon AF film camera in it. Such a deal! I think the "Share" button is for the Kodak Dock that was for all kinds of high-tech, but simple ways to manage your images. Sending them to friends, printing, saving to computers etc. Great cameras, coming back into vogue with the chic youth in LA, as they look space-age retro with their shiny silver, and better photo-features than those commonplace cell phones. Keep up the good videos! (Maybe mention where you got the camera, & go on more adventures with it.)

That is a great deal!! Thank you for complementing the presentation :)

The share button in combination with the dock is such a strange thing to imagine today, but I'm sure they were helpful(ish) back when they first came out! I didn't know that the dock was basically a connection button to the dock... Very strange!
These cameras are so fun to mess around with! They provide an experience that phones aren't able to provide anymore! I love how each digital camera has a distinct "filter" it provides over each photo! Modern cameras are beginning to look similar in photo quality, and I think that opens up the market for these older digital cameras for people who want something more unique!
"Keep up the good videos! (Maybe mention where you got the camera, & go on more adventures with it.)"
I appreciate the compliment! It means a lot! I plan on making a bunch of reviews of older digital cameras!
More adventures would be fun :) I think next time I will film myself going out and taking pictures, so the audience can really see my process and feel that sense of adventure you mentioned!
And in response to mentioning where I purchased the cameras: I actually sell cameras on my Depop page (declans_depop_shop)! I wanted to slowly integrate the videos and my store page as I got better at video editing and understanding how to film an engaging video!
Thank you for your comment!
**the button was basically a connection to the dock**
@@danklenTV More precisely, it was a way of tagging photos for the associated EasyShare software. When you would connect the camera to a computer with the EasyShare software (via a dock or a directly with a USB cable), the software would perform whatever action you selected from the "Share" menu. Sadly, the EasyShare software seems to be unavailable on the Internet for some time.
What were the settings that you used to take the 5 star picture??
one of the benefits of these cameras is the easy to use menu system.
Funny video and interesting camera :-). Have a 533, it is nearly the same with 5MP, and tiny collection of digicams which I use most time for landscape photowalks.
With greetings from lower Bavaria.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you like the 533! I'll have to check it out! With greetings from Texas
Can we use regular batteries that fit the shape?
Nehh 😐, it won't work
thanks for the video! 0:31 - you know there are rechargeable batteries right?
I believe so, I typically use them
I have the exact camera but I don’t know how to view the pictures from the SD card on the camera. Can anyone help me with that? I’m using the recommended SD card so the SD card isn’t the problem.
you might need to get a card reader, do you know what your SD card is?
What kind of cable do you use for this camera? I have the exact camera but don’t seem to find a compatible cable.
Or if there’s any other way to transfer the photos. Thanks in advance, love the video
An easy way to transfer photos on many of these older cameras is using a small SD card! I typically recommend 1 GB or less. There are a ton of 1 GB SD cards on eBay.
And I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
for the battery.. is that AA cam battery or just AA battery?? (i mean it's the same thing)
Hi! i have a kodak c663 camera, what batteries and memory card should I use?
i have the same question !
did u figure out which memory card to use?
I would recommend a 1gb SD card! If you search on ebay for 1gb SD card, there should be a bunch of options to pick from. Any of those should work!
Hi I have a question I have the Kodak easysharw cd80 and I’m trying to transfer videos to my iPhone with an adapter and it works but the video has no audio and it has a built in speaker would you know how to fix it?
I would make sure the camera is capturing audio when it is recording. See if there is an audio setting that is turned off in the camera's settings.
Really nice review, your voice sounds kind of Jarvis. Ironman.
Haha, I've never heard that one! I've heard that I sound like Mordecai from Regular show!
Just another RUclips channel driving up the cost of older cameras.
If you know where to look, you can find these cameras at a very affordable price! Let me know if you need any help looking.
👏👍
I have this exact camera, the sd card wont work if it is too big, I have a 512 MB sd card
Yea I’ve had lots of trouble with SD cards and cameras… I bought myself a large pack of 1gb cards and they seem to do the trick!
