What a wonderful idea this Budo service is. It allows people, who would struggle to find the right contacts, an opportunity to travel, train & experience Okinawa Martial Arts. The good news is that June 2022 Japan is opening its borders again. I hope this tourism concept benefits from it.

Okinawan karateka are humble learners, they do not show their skills against opponents, rather they use the techniques depending on the situation of the fight. Basically not a competitive rather it is holistic in a sense.

Think of all the karate masters killed on Okinawa during WWII, then with Nagasaki and Hiroshima, as well as other fighting, I bet a lot of Jiu jitsu masters were killed. Which might been an intention to reign in civil instead of feudal society. As Samurai surely had their identity in fighting, Bushido.
