Rap and "Grunge" (the Pacific Northwest Seattle/Portland area early to mid 90's music really was amazing!) music was just phenomenal in the early to mid 90's! Nirvana, 2 PAC, Alice in Chains, Biggie Smalls, Soundgarden, Wu Tang Clan, DMX, OutKast, Poison Idea, The Wipers, Pantera (a Southern Metal band but man they RULED the 90's and really helped keep good Metal music alive during an era when Heavy Metal was all but deemed dead!), Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone, Screaming Trees (the vocalist of the Trees Mark Lanegan made a LOT of amazingly beautiful material with his solo albums if anyone is into more acoustic guitar driven music that also has a big Blues sort of feel to it. "Whiskey For the Holy Ghost" is a masterpiece of an album!).
I hope I at least can help spread the word about high quality music that isn't really heard on the dumb and trendy radio stations and on TV. I hope some of y'all take the time to really sink in with what I all listed!
