Thats because they both had Hype Williams making their vids.. Wasnt their creations, it was all Hype.. Which is why they both had the same styles. Obviously Timbaland was instrumental in their beats as well.

I love you all even though I know it's never going to happen I'm 55 years old bad news I have two or three different kinds of arthritis I'm trying to figure out LOL but it is what it is I'm still making it
Busta's videos are always such a pleasure to watch. Colorful, so much going on in the background to notice, an underlying plot under the lyrics. The man puts a whole next level into his work.
The song is actually 22 years and some months old,the song came out in september 1997 i was in 2nd form in secondary school when this song came out which was a huge hit and still is friday 18th june 2020,much better than this bullshit rap we hear today
Absolutely one of the best music videos ever. So much creativity, unique cinematography, clever editing, and excellent choreography. And it's so much fun! Not to mention the song is straight up legendary. This is how it's done right here.
I’m 50yrs old. Busta has ALWAYS had great representation of diverse black women in his shows and videos. When it became fashionable to put racially ambiguous women in videos, he held us down. He had talented women in the mix
I was saying the same thing. That first 30 seconds with a dark skinned model coming out of the water as the centerpiece. I was like wow. They don't greenlight or even request those models to even be present anymore.
I am almost 50. I want this song played at my funeral. If you saw me you would not think so. I get it.. light skin has historically been advantageous. The word ambiguity should not be used as a negative...it's what's going to save us all from racism in the long-term.
Diversity is probably a thing of the past and present. In the future, "ambiguous" will be the dominant skin color, unless people understand and appreciate diversity and stop mixing like crazy.
I was too young to appreciate this song. Oh my. The video is so dope!! Showing different aspects of our culture, and Busta and his team’s incredible creativity!! Wowwwww!!!
The choreography, costumes, makeup, directing and of course Busta himself are incredibly impressive! I wonder if this was all Busta's concept. They don't often make music videos on this scale anymore.
The song that introduced me to Busta Rhymes. Perhaps my most favorite in his discography with the addition of "Gimme Some More". The video was so out-there and creative. He was doing the "hyperactive, animated, goofy" style with fish-eye lens visuals a couple years shy of his colleague Missy Elliott debuting on the scene. The two of them have gifted the world with endless amounts of groundbreaking, earth-shattering video content. I've said it before on here and I'll say it again Busta deserved a Grammy, the fact he never received one is utterly mind-boggling.
That beat goes right through you. You almost forget the genius rapping going on over this hypnotizing beat. If you ain't bopping from the first beats, something is wrong with you.
Busta had some of the most visually creative and entertaining videos in the 90's. I don't think any rap video to this day can touch a video from Busta. Edit: I always changed the channel when bruh at the end in green paint came on. Shit use to freak me out..lol

I love you all even though I know it's never going to happen I'm 55 years old bad news I have two or three different kinds of arthritis I'm trying to figure out LOL but it is what it is I'm still making it
1 of the sickest beats in the history of hip hop
EVER & the music video like mane I used 2 have nightmares about this 😂 Busta is eons ahead of us humans it seems!
I keep coming back to this every month or so as it's such a phenomenal track. It's lightyears ahead.
It’s a sample

100% without question.

Anytime I buy a car, I play this to test the bass
Big up to our jamaican dancer in green paint called "Bruk Up"!! Amazing to see your dancing got you elevated in life.
Busta been slept on , one of the most creative and gifted King ever
2020 anybody, this will never get old
Nah bruh 2222
And you KNOW this...MAN! Dancing on 4/20!
Tik tok brought me back here lol
Cause the shit that's out now is junk
Forever busta fan ! I used to listen to this song every morning on mtv before school back in the day when they played videos
Busta's videos are always such a pleasure to watch. Colorful, so much going on in the background to notice, an underlying plot under the lyrics. The man puts a whole next level into his work.
Hype Williams is a true icon!
Say my happy 😊
What a flow….legendary …respect
Still appreciating this man in 2023. There will never be another Busta. He was way ahead of his time. His style and artistry cannot be duplicated.
Ya the mans a living legend ,the fastest rapper ever
Yes sir, but discount Tech 9 … he’s right there with him, if not above. But both legends to the core
Song is 24 years old but is still in the future
True shit..
The song is actually 22 years and some months old,the song came out in september 1997 i was in 2nd form in secondary school when this song came out which was a huge hit and still is friday 18th june 2020,much better than this bullshit rap we hear today
And I though this was a new cut!
@@kerwynsmart701 Man talk about it
Absolutely one of the best music videos ever. So much creativity, unique cinematography, clever editing, and excellent choreography. And it's so much fun! Not to mention the song is straight up legendary. This is how it's done right here.
Coming to America was an inspiration to many artists!
Hype Williams made a lot of influential videos at that time
Nah this is really timeless.
I’m sure the model is Alek Wek. She’s stunning !
@@hayleyu5370 it is
I am almost 50.
97 had to be one of the greatest years for hiphop and rnb.
Think 2000 2001 was best hip hop rnb
'97 was dope, but '92-'93 would probably be the Golden Years of Hip Hop & R&B
96 with Nas feat Laureen Hill and 98 with Fugees .
1997 was, in fact, the greatest year in hip-hop/R&B.
I was 15 and I will never forget that year of hot jams😍
Fun fact, the producer that created this beat was his very first record produced and it went platinum
But he sampled it
@@larryachiya2475 I bet your a real hit at parties...
@@sidsplice alot!
So good!!!
@@larryachiya2475 🤣🤣🤣🤣
2024 whos listen this Masterpiece?
Yo 😎
Almost 30 years later till forever!!!
My jam 🎉🎉
Me!! And I love it
Always
The earth shifted off its axis when this joint dropped. CLASSIC Bus! This will always be a party starter.
Busta Rymes is the male version of missy elliot when it comes to creativity i swear lol
Yup, I would love to see them battle ina VZ
@The Experiment idk about all that. Missy was a strait artist. And I got Busta in my top 5. But no one can take anything away from Missy
@@el34glo59 u clearly dont kno lons busta rhymes been out way before missy do ur homework
He was out before Missy
@@dantegreen4094 ok then switch it🤷🏿♂️lol
Finally after all these years a good quality official upload!!!!
RustySacks my thoughts exactly
That choreography about 1:00 mark ....need i say more. Busta and Missy's videos deserved ao much more praise...
How music has fallen....never knew how good we had it.
Iconic on so many levels he wasn't afraid to do it and he did it🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Busta Rhymes👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤘
I was too young to appreciate this song. Oh my. The video is so dope!! Showing different aspects of our culture, and Busta and his team’s incredible creativity!! Wowwwww!!!
I'm not even part of the cultue but this was sweet ..
Made me always think of coming to America
This song still bumps. Long B4 WWE 2K24 brought it back.
NBA 2k18 got this on they playlist too
He really killed this track and we ain't really appreciate how great he really was
The choreography, costumes, makeup, directing and of course Busta himself are incredibly impressive! I wonder if this was all Busta's concept. They don't often make music videos on this scale anymore.
Theres a team of hundreds of people behind a production like this, an idea will be formed and many people will input on that idea
Agreed, great era of rap music and videos. You can see the effort but in such a production.
Hype Williams directed the music video.
It’s because videos like this are super expensive
this was back when the music industry had money. Very few artists have the budget of this scale anymore 😢
This beat never gets old.
WAY ahead of his time!!👌
I was 18 in 97. When Busta dropped this track it took the hip hop world by storm. Whenever a DJ played this it was pure pandemonium!
Yes
Facts. This shit was so good I remember it nearly being number 1 on just about every station all year.
Daag.. I was 26 when he dropped this
26+26=52
Same!
The greatest video of all time to me
I miss seeing Hype Williams’s work, inspiring me even in 2020 👑🖤
Music video's will never be the same, especially classic hype Williams vids
The song that introduced me to Busta Rhymes. Perhaps my most favorite in his discography with the addition of "Gimme Some More". The video was so out-there and creative. He was doing the "hyperactive, animated, goofy" style with fish-eye lens visuals a couple years shy of his colleague Missy Elliott debuting on the scene. The two of them have gifted the world with endless amounts of groundbreaking, earth-shattering video content. I've said it before on here and I'll say it again Busta deserved a Grammy, the fact he never received one is utterly mind-boggling.
This beat to this day gives me chills.
I swear!
That beat goes right through you. You almost forget the genius rapping going on over this hypnotizing beat. If you ain't bopping from the first beats, something is wrong with you.
This shit used to scare tf out of me when I was a kid 😐
#FACTS!!!!!!✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
For real bro this shit timeless
Busta’s flow has evolved so much over the years.
Busta had some of the most visually creative and entertaining videos in the 90's. I don't think any rap video to this day can touch a video from Busta.
Edit: I always changed the channel when bruh at the end in green paint came on. Shit use to freak me out..lol
Amen
Much agreed👌🏾
Me too with Neon Green dude
You can thank HYPE WILLIAMS for these fantastic music videos!
@@Kev27RS no doubt.
That scene at 2:36 is wild, what a genius
