There is an old trick to drop messages and supplies to people in remote areas where landing is impossible. A weighted can is put at the end of a long line. The line is fed out the back of the airplane. The airplane flies in a circle and the weight falls forward the center of the circle. a person on the ground reach the can and pass messages or small equipment to the plane. Here is the challenge. feed an egg attached to a long line out the rear of an airplane. set the egg on a target without breaking the egg... or the plane.
Thanks so much for the kind words! We love hearing about people stories and how they got into the hobby! We are very blessed and are so greatful to be a part of your experience! Many Thanks! Blessings, S.O.
One of your funniest videos ever! This is why I fell in love with the storsch. I've had a monstrous time trying to fly my own with its wonky landing gear, poor CG and warped control surfaces. I lost it over a housing development and it landed itself just fine! Getting it all trimmed up, it flies now, but does a 50 foot wide roll that loses 40 feet of altitude. Great idea, just not a trainer.
haha thanks for the kind words! The Storch is a blast to fly and so simple and smooth! Waterproof version just is an added bonus right?! ha Blessings, S.O.
Anyone else watching this and getting flashbacks to that old game on Nokia phones called "Snake"? LOL ......... Have to say though, It looked incredibly pretty with what looked like 300m of technicoloured paper contrail behind the plane. Keep up the good work guys.
haha! That was an AWESOME game. Great memories and we are glad that you enjoyed the episode! I will say we definitely were blessed with GREAT Picturesque scenes with the streamers, beautiful blue sky and the plane flying around! Thanks for all the support and kind words! Blessings S.O.
This was the coolest Flite Test ever. I never laughed so hard at one of your shows but I was belly laughing the whole time. I also liked the long streamer effect. It looked very cool. Now I'd like to see you guys put three streamers as one long streamer and dog fight or tie knots.
I love watching ur vids. I had a p-51 mustang for my birthday and the first time i flew it i crashed it. It did even go more than twenty yards. Ur vids want me to try again and buy a new in but i am not too confident in myself.
Hi guys love all your challenge videos they brighten my day. ever thought about turning a flying wing into a conventional aircraft? versa wing with a broncos tail? maybe a canard? keep up the great work.
can you guys talk about EDF like how good is it compare to other motor or how does it behave? I just love this youtube channel, really professional. You guys deserve more subscribers and viewers!!!
This was awesome guys. You should try to do it with multiple planes and try to know between them, or try to cut the other "tail". Also mass twice or mote into a big ring and see who can to it more times. You may create a series of funny challenges with that.
Thanks so much for the kind words! It is because of people like you that we are passionate about putting out these videos and making the hobby more enjoyable every day! Thanks so much for your support!! Blessings, S.O.
Back in '67, a friend took me up in a '47Aeronca 7AC Champ and had a ball throwing rolls of toilet paper out of the plane at 3000 to 4000 feet AGL, and then turn and cut the 500 foot instant white vertical line in the sky with a wing... After striking the paper several times it sort of formed a large artificial cloud...and we center-punched it...causing immediate engine failure since the carburetor air screen was clogged with tissue paper. No problem...just set up a glide slope and look for a flat spot to land. We landed in a sugar beet field, I jumped out ,took my pocket comb out of my back pocket and proceeded to unclog the air screen. Screen cleared..."brakes on...switches on..." I reached up to swing the prop through just as the farmer came off the road with a 12 Ga., blasting away...thankfully out of range. The 65 horses in the Continental woke up, I jumped in the back seat and we flattened a few more beets as we jumped back into the California sky. This video brought back some of my best memories...THANKS GUYS .
Man, this was soo funny! I only wished we could do such things at my club, but they are all waaay too serious there and won't get their planes into a risk. Well, maybe it's because Incant get them to build a cheap FT plane! Bummer. Maybe they'll build one if the speed build kits become available in Germany! Josh, Stefan, thanks for making me laugh today!
what great enthusiasm Next time you could try.... pre tie a big loose knot in one hand and the loose end in the other Wrap the loose end around the one connected to the plane Pass the loose end through the knot you have waiting
looks great fun will try however i would like to try it on that versatile fuselage u made a few years back but i lost the plans for it and was wondering where u get them and how to build it it was shown in the funbat episodes and nutball ones and was extremely useful to me
It's only about once a day my wife rolls her eyes at something I watch.
Today, this was it.
Awesome video.
That may be the best RUclips video with the participants having the most fun.

if you do a search for "Bucket Drop" you will see a full size plane do the trick.
These are the videos I've missed lately. Keep this up guys
Thanks so much or your kind words and your continued support Thom!

The A-10 firing near the tank was another high light, and everything battleship and kayak was a hoot!

@FliteTest
You Guys are awesome! Thanks for the fun.
So fun! Excellent flying Josh!
You should do a various landings challenge video, like spot landing, smooth water or belly landing competition.
I have never heard you guys laugh so much! That was awesome. :)
Funniest episode I've seen yet.great job

You may create a series of funny challenges with that.
Oh fun, A Knot Tying contest! How many knots can the Flight Test pilots do? A race to 5 knots would be fun to watch.
Alway enjoy your videos, you guys have so much fun; Next time try to tie two planes together in the air.

This gets the Cobra Commander's stamp of approval!
take off with a huge streamer and try to tie a knot in the streamer by flying the plane around!
That's what this episode was about :) he did it at the end
I was wishing that they would "pre-tie" all of the streamers at their end so it would be one huge poetic streamer.
You guys are HILARIOUS!!! LOVE IT
What was awesome :D Maybe you could do a challenge? Who could tie more knots on a double length streamer?
DUDES! I loved this! I want to watch this every day, I know its tough but I would love to see more videos! LIKE IF YOU AGREE :)
Would love to see an updated version of this, with a new plane and at the new place

This video brought back some of my best memories...THANKS GUYS .
Just awesome and great cardio- what a sport!
What a bunch of fun!
I love these experiment videos but I would like to see some more variety in the videos because most are based around foam build planes at the moment.
Oh and I love anything including water!
very cool video, as usual!

Air to air footage is my favorite.
