In PA I am a 70 yo DIY'er and did my K1500 oil change in Oct. to avoid the cold. Late December noticed 10 inch oil puddle daily under truck after coming out from work. So I add 8 oz after every trip. Damn, I'm thinking rear main seal or oil pressure sensor is leaking. While at mechanic for another job he sprayed down entire rear engine and let it idle 15 minutes. Here the leak is from a defective Walmart AC Delco O.E. blue oil filter. Guess the top seam isn't sealed or sprung a leak. Need to replace the filter in 35 F Sunday before the Eagles, Washington game. A pain in the cold, but a lot cheaper than rear main seal.

Hopefully you get it done and before the big game! I did work on a car for a co-worker that took it to a shop. Massive oil leak. Turns out they put the wrong filter on the car so spraying everywhere. Luckily we caught in time!

It’s always during the storms too! Never when it’s warm.

People ask me if We were expecting snow because I was dressed for a blizzard, and I explain to them laying on my back on the concrete all day trying to get that fuel tank down will drain you all the way down to the bones

It sucks! Nothing more draining than freezing underneath a car working all day on it. I did my buddy’s wheel hub in 5 degree weather outside years ago. May be one of the worst I have done!

Big difference in oil. That is what big oil won't tell you. Do you work for big oil.
