We just built our house with land in Lahore, Pakistan. I researched many places as a Pakistani American, considered Dubai, nope, a hot, dusty, brown, concrete jungle, Turkiye very nice, but expensive now, looked at Malaysia which was my top choice but too far from Dallas where we have a house, we would need to fly over the Pacific and we want to travel around the Atlantic. We decided on Lahore, its the cultural capital of not just Pakistan but the sub continent with a rich Mughal history. Flying to Lahore, we can take different airlines and stop over at dfferent countries each time we go from Dallas. To go visit London, we would take British Airways or Virgin, stop over in London and on to Pakistan. or Turkish airlines, stop over in Istanbul, This is possible because Pakistan is half way on the other side of the US, so we can even fly from the West over the Pacific and stop over in Japan for example and then on to Lahore. Lahore has very low taxes, very cheap labor. We have a security guard we pay him $160 a month and i pay him extra as he is also a armed bodyguard, even tho crime is low in Lahore but we can hire 6 security guards for peace of mind, plus 2 maids for $80 each a month. You dont need that many but we go for 2 months in summer and can afford to pay $500 and have several people work, we built our custom house, Americans can only dream of, we spent $400k over 3 years, its 7500 sq foot, with a elevator inside and top of the line marble, triple pane windows to keep the heat out and a full basement for summers. We have a huge rooftop with all marble, and now building a full cover solar roof, with sofas underneath to give us 4 levels of living space. I feel Pakistan is the best cheapest option and we are in DHA7 which is run by former military officers and its super safe, super clean, efficient, roads and utilities were in place before we started building, since then the ruppee has crashed vs the dollar so you could build it even cheaper today, land wise, construction material has gone up a bit but still a steal. I invite you to come stay at our place and make a video on Lahore. ps. and we love cars in Pakistan, we just hired a driver for the busy parts of town but in Defense I can drive comfortably and you can buy a used land cruiser for very affordable cost, its perfect, the roads are as nice as the US.

One of my favourite things is to listen to Mainstream media about other countries. For example I live in Marbella, Spain. There are 10K Swedish living here. If you read Swedish media this is a horrible place with lots of gang violence, only rich people snorting snow, and no one can live there unless they are gangsters. But every Swede living here are parents because its impossible to raise kids in Sweden with all the crime (9 times crime rate in Sweden VS Spain) and crashing school system and you can still buy and rent decently cheap in Marbella area. I believe these type of propaganda, which almost all western countries do, is to keep people home so they pay taxes. The politicians, and their bought and paid for media channels, all want to celebrate their own as fantastic while everyone else is bad.
Do the Swedish parents living in Marbella and Costa del Sol send their children to Spanish-language public schools or English-speaking schools? Or are there Swedish speaking educators there teaching their children a mix of Swedish and Spanish? Home-schooling? Just curious.
@@mjg239 There are Swedish schools in Marbella, Fuengirola and Estepona. There are also a lot of English/German schools. Many international schools such as Les Roches have universities in the area. All schools teach Spanish. I would estimate about 50% of the parents put their kids in Spanish public schools. Many parents also speak multiple languages so most kids on Costa Del Sol learn 3-4 languages. The schools here (especially the public ones) are not fantastic, but they are safe and much better than Swedish and German schools.
@@tommyboman7735 Interesting, thanks for sharing. I didn't know this. Also, why do you think Swedish and German schools aren't much better than Spanish ones?
I am a permanent resident of Panama. I live in Boquete. Panama has hundreds of microclimates and you can basically choose the climate you prefer (unless you like it really cold). Panama is beautiful, the people are friendly, the US dollar is the currency, it is more affordable than the US is, and it is far safer than the US. Catch a clue, Bill.
Are you a retiree? I've always known Panama to be a retirement destination for Americans. I wonder if Panama has modernized to include Digital Nomad Visa schemes like in Greece, Mexico and other places?
I live in Taiwan as American -- no Chinese ancestry. It's great. Extremely low tax -- work for a US company. Very modern, people helpful, most speak English. Most of the year hot. Very liveable -- rent and food are cheap.
I’ve gotten along quite well in Mexico City without private security, unlike Milwaukee where I had a car totaled by a drunk driver, walked in on someone burglarizing my apartment, and was mugged. Anyplace without Bill O Reilly is better simply because he’s not there

The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on government paycheck, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a time to invest in Stocks, Forex and Digital currencies.
People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. He has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.

A note about Mexico, in a recent interview on CBS, the president of Mexico was discussing the cartels and the drug trafficking problem. When asked, "Why doesn't Mexico have the same demand, the same drug use problem as the US?" He responded, "Because we still have intact families and culture." EXACTLY. This is why it is basically more safe in Mexico. The people have basic morals abd decency. Decency in the USA is optional, like traffic laws.
You are not wrong. Mexico is becoming more dangerous, but the family values have not been infiltrated by American rotten culture, yet. But it's on its way, and degenerating quicker every year.
Nonsense cocaine is too expensive for regular Mexicans while fentanyl is starting to be used a lot more than before is gaining ground. Families fell apart a long time ago when father's had to leave for the north for work.
Those arguments are garbage. For decades, the Mexican government refused to do anything about the Cartels as long as they did not sell drugs to the people in Mexico. Then the USA forced Mexican President Felipe Calderón (2006-2012) to declare war on them (and they Mexican govt lost) plunging the country into a worse civil war. The next government backed off from doing anything about the Cartels, but they don't even control vast areas in their own nation. And a significant number of the people selling drugs in the USA are illegal aliens from Mexico who sell directly or supply US street gangs. And they sell to their own community also in the USA. Drug cartels, which historically focused on exporting drugs, have increasingly targeted their domestic market to diversify their revenue streams. Cartels actively market and distribute drugs within Mexico now, as the "treaty" with the govt is no longer a thing.
@@cynjhern You think that blaming the drug policy from 1984 is the answer? If it did not work, why did every single administration since Reagan double down on the same exact policies. Blaming Reagan is ludicrous 40 years later when they have continued the same nonsense. And Keynesian policies often lead to large government deficits and debt, stimulating demand excessively can cause inflation, reduce the purchasing power of money, and the heavy reliance on government intervention can crowd out US investors, which is the only way to improve Mexico.

Prior to Colombia we spent 5 years living on our yacht between Malaysia (Langkawi) and Thailand (Phuket and Krabi), but in the end we decided the tropics at sea level were too hot for us. We shipped our classic yacht to Turkey where we sold her and, having already visited Colombia and bought a property here, we moved permanently in 2018. Never regretted it.
Malaysia is a very peaceful and safe country. The local are so friendly and kind. So many beaches, mountain, island, and natural tourist place to visit inside the country. Most of Malaysia speak good English. Most important is the healthcare in Malaysia are top notch 😊
I've been to 40 countries, nearly almost all mentioned. Malaysia and Taiwan were very cosmopolitan and reminded me of the US. Well-developed infrastructure, modern, English-speaking, nice people, convenient travel hubs....what's not to like?
Andrew, I really enjoy your pragmatic perspective that there is no perfect place and that each individual needs to expose themselves to the varied realities abroad and do what is best for them.... Kudos
Five reasons why Taiwan is attractive to expats: (1) High quality and inexpensive healthcare (2) Low crime, making it a safe place to work and live (3) Food. Many choices: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, American, European restaurants, etc. It’s actually cheaper to eat out than cooking your own meals at home. (4) Availability of stable, high speed Internet and much cheaper than the U.S. (5) A hub to travel to other parts of Asia within 5 hours, to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, etc. Added bonuses: Most Taiwanese are friendly, especially to foreigners. You can go about living a normal life in Taipei, the capital city, without speaking Mandarin Chinese. If you’re LGBTQ, Taiwan will be a welcoming place because it has a vibrant community, and is the first Asian country that legally recognizes gay marriage. You don’t get that in other Asian countries, e.g., Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, etc. And since Taiwan is a free and democratic country, you don’t need to worry what might happen to you or your family if you say or do “the wrong thing”!
Malaysian with US green card. Decided to hold on to my citizenship. Who knows I might actually decide to retire like Americans back in my home country. The difference is I dont need to worry about any Visas. How ironic.
I do appreciate the humor of having that old coot, BillO, handing out his 2-cents worth of advice on where NOT to move to. I was hoping he would wrap things up by telling everyone to "Get off my lawn!" Seriously. Portugal, huh?
My lifestyle is pretty boring, as long as I have internet and power and food and drink I'm happy. I can live pretty much anywhere that isn't a hell-hole.
I live in Mexico and spent time in Panama, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. I think Mexico is best because of its close proximity to the U.S. However, Malaysia will surprise you. It's luxury living for very low cost. Thailand is beautiful, and the food is amazing, but I felt isolated. Few people spoke English well. The Philippines lifestyle is too simplistic for Westerners. However, BGC and Makati are very modern. Mexico checks all the boxes.

No,the lifestyle is simplistic in the Philippine’s,isn’t that what WE are all looking for? Getting away from Western bullshit. They speak English throughout, great welcome, friendly ,great weather, countryside and beaches are stunning. Safe place unless you want to act like a entitled Westerner disrespecting locals and acting like a dumbass as many do ,then cry and complain. All these countries mentioned are great, the big problem is the behaviour of the dumb ass westerner that arrives there.
I am like Andrew. I live in a few countries throughout the year. My family owns properties all over, so I dont need to stay in one place year round. The best place is Singapore bar none. A top consideration should be the trend to future as regards the division of economic zones between USA allies vs BRICS, and the meteoric rise of China and BRICS. As the 2 big powers, with one on a steep decline and the other on a steep ascent, where might you live to best survive the economic changes. An advantage might go to a country that can pivot either way, to trade with both China and the USA. It appears undeniable that being in the BRICS or their sphere of influence would be advantageous. You don't want to be on the wrong side of trade barriers or embargoes against China, so look to predict those economic boundaries. Pity Australia as their proximity to China had them as Australia's biggest trade partner, but now they lost mega trade when siding with the USA with trade embargoes. Or look to the current experience of Germany with their extreme dependence on Russia for gas,; now with cold houses and idle factories. I'm a new subscriber, and this video is excellent, I look forward to viewing more. But I'm just hopeful that our Nomad would put more emphasis on the future trends, especially as relates to the division of the planet into 2 economic zones, and which do you want to be in. Also, as an investor, which military will you depend on to prevent the looting of your capital and how might your country of citizenship affect whether you will ultimately have financial protection? Surely all astute investors are aware the USA has a debt problem that will ultimately end in a crash like the world has never seen, so where to live then? Maybe this should be at the top of considerations now, as to where to live now that will still be a wise choice when TSHTF. (The Sh** Hits The Fan) I'm extremely interested in the Nomad's opinion on where to be when TSHTF.
Panama humidity? There are 14 different climate zones here. I guess your guest have never been here. In the mountains you need a fireplace to survive. Of course Panama City is humidity. You live there only if you have to. Most of expats live in nice communities near the beaches in arco seco (Coronado area). The place we live in for the last 10 years has temperature between 26-32 all year round.
People like Bill O'Reilly are interesting because it is good to educate yourself about populations and people. Ignorant people outnumber the educated and astute. It's best to be familiar with how they think.

I don’t mind the taxes and am very happy in the USA. I’m just scared of nuclear war at this point. It would be nice to live somewhere that doesn’t piss off everyone else in the world.
A nuclear weapon will never ever be used. It's not Biden making these decisions. Don't worry about it because it's all part of the plan. This will cause Russia to strike back at Ukraine then the USA will be allowed to send Ukraine another 200 billion just before trump gets in office. Don't you people realize these wars are all about spending money so the elites can make more money. Watch the movie called War Dogs. They make trillions off of wars.
Bill's statement about Taiwan "They don't like you..." What!?! It is one of the most friendly places on earth! Yes, it is a certainly a patchwork of old concrete jungle and modern, but the mountains are absolutely stunning. I'll take Tauyuan Airport over JFK International any day. Taiwan has been my home for thirty years and hopefully thirty more if I live that long...unless the northern neighbor decides to invade!
I think those who bragged about moving before the elections (if DT won) are going nowhere. It was just their tiny bit to the campaign; those who would have left if KH had won are now staying, hoping the situation will improve.
I'm not sure "bragged" is the best term. I'm lamenting that I now feel the need to get Canadian citizenship by descent. I have ancestors who arrived here in the 1630s, who fought against the British, who fought for the Union. It's devastating that I no longer feel welcome in the U.S.
We’re leaving. That’s why I’m on this channel. We already have appointments set up with a lawyer, banker, and real estate agent in our target country. Spending the rest of the year selling assets, getting the house ready for market, and moving money offshore.
Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now l'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling.,,

Bogota is the coldest city in Colombia. So are the people. Generally speaking. The pollution and traffic alone is horrendous. Sure there’s those conjuntos in Norte where the Politicians and Oligarchy don’t leave their homes and have everything delivered. But once you go down into the Babylon it’s a whole different story. I stayed six weeks in San JOse after returning to the pothole, La Fortua, and I never even found a joint to smoke in San Jose. Then I went to Jocó, (another pothole) where I stayed three months until my visa expired.
I traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica, with my parents on two occasions in the 1980s and it was very nice back then. Did immigration ruin it? I took my children to Guanacaste, Costa Rica in 2017 for eco-tourism and it was wonderful. I love Costa Rica.
Interesting. I have two friends that are doctors that both went there, one actually left his wife and move there after a visit, said it was Paradise A year or two later he came back and I saw him again and I let him talk for an hour straight telling me what are rotten place it was and how he'll never go back. He was ripped off multiple times he tried to start businesses and they back stabbed him and screwed him over. I said, I thought it was paradise? And he said yes if they know you're a tourist going there on vacation then they treat you like gold, but once they find out you're a permanent resident, then they're out to screw you over The other doctor who is actually friends of the first one, told me that unless you have everything fantastic and bolted down and even hire a security guard 24/7, the nature of the culture there is that you're telling them that you don't want your stuff and they're obligated to take it from you The first doctor who started the businesses, he thought it was so safe that he did not believe that so he that his security guard go, and next thing you know all his stuff was robbed He also said if you do any business there you have to hire two attorneys that don't know each other, the second one to look over the first one and make sure that he's not ripping you off

In ANY of the countries mentioned, there are cities you can live in that are more affordable, and those that are more expensive than cities in other countries. I now live in Hua Hin Thailand and rented an apartment for $275 p/mo. Eat for $3 a meal, and I mean meal! On the other hand I was in Koh Samui for 3 months and it was 3 times the cost. Same with KL, there are places that are more expensive than Bangkok and those in line with Hua Hin. As far as Dangerous places, same thing. I was in Mexico for 6 months and spent most of my time in Merida which is ranked the third safest city in the Americas. Most of the Yucatan is much safer than the west coast areas of Mexico where the cartels have a much larger presence. Bill O’Reilly doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Bill O'Reilly is definitely the stereotype of someone who has worked in corporate media for far too long. His view of moving to a foreign country is about as enlightened as other jingoists like Bill Maher and Sean Hannity.
Bill is that American tourist who travels abroad to eat dinner at Olive Garden and thinks speaking loudly and slowly will make the locals understand English. 😂
Mexico. As far as I know the only country that did not require an experimental injection nor a fake test to enter the country. While many Mexican employers pushed the shots on their employees, (out of fear and ignorance) as well as face masks, the government wasn´t forcing anyone.
Also, Taiwan has workaholic culture even worse than the US. If you get a job there, expect to put in lots of hours and be at your employer's beck and call.
I'm from Taiwan. While Taiwan is nothing like what Bill O'Reilly described, there is definitely room for improvement no doubt. Same thing can be said just about any country depending where you visit. That said, he made Taiwan sound like a third world country, which just couldn't be further away from the truth. I have a sneaky feeling that Bill is no fan of Asia. That's fine. I was never a fan of his either. He can stay in the USA and rot for all I care.

Nothing replaces experience. The loss of truth will bring us to our end more quickly.
Thank you, so very much. I love people❤❤❤
Do the Swedish parents living in Marbella and Costa del Sol send their children to Spanish-language public schools or English-speaking schools?

Right on all counts. Panama ticks a lot of the right boxes. 🇵🇦
Taiwan cheap !??
I would be frightened to live in Taiwan, because I believe China is going to try to take it back, and I don't think the US will defend it.
I’ve gotten along quite well in Mexico City without private security, unlike Milwaukee where I had a car totaled by a drunk driver, walked in on someone burglarizing my apartment, and was mugged. Anyplace without Bill O Reilly is better simply because he’s not there
Madison’s getting just as bad. My house got robbed and my truck stolen. Got told to basically F off by the prosecutors.

The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on government paycheck, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a time to invest in Stocks, Forex and Digital currencies.
That's awesome!!! I know nothing about investment and I'm keen on getting started.

If you are using a really good broker or account manager, it's easier to earn from the market
Investing with an expert is the best strategy for beginners and busy investors, as most failures and losses in investment usually happen when you invest without proper guidance. I'm speaking from experience.

A note about Mexico, in a recent interview on CBS, the president of Mexico was discussing the cartels and the drug trafficking problem.
When asked, "Why doesn't Mexico have the same demand, the same drug use problem as the US?"
He responded, "Because we still have intact families and culture."
EXACTLY.
It was Reagan’s war on drugs that did so much damage to the US and Latin America. What is great is that Mexico is embracing Keynesian economics!

Added bonuses:
Most Taiwanese are friendly, especially to foreigners.
@@johnjalee2009 until China annexes it.
Added bonus, you might see an invasion and occupation play out right before your eyes, so you don't need to watch those D-Day movies anymore.

Bill's #1 requirement is "where can I get away with sexually assaulting my coworkers?"
Taiwan is amazing. It was difficult communicating at times but not impossible. I felt very safe. The people are friendly and the food is amazing.

I think Biden might be trying to make sure that happens before he leaves office, he certainly seems to be escalating it during his entire term
A nuclear weapon will never ever be used. It's not Biden making these decisions. Don't worry about it because it's all part of the plan. This will cause Russia to strike back at Ukraine then the USA will be allowed to send Ukraine another 200 billion just before trump gets in office. I'm not sure "bragged" is the best term. I'm lamenting that I now feel the need to get Canadian citizenship by descent. I have ancestors who arrived here in the 1630s, who fought against the British, who fought for the Union. It's devastating that I no longer feel welcome in the U.S.

The other doctor who is actually friends of the first one, told me that unless you have everything fantastic and bolted down and even hire a security guard 24/7, the nature of the culture there is that you're telling them that you don't want your stuff and they're obligated to take it from you
The first doctor who started the businesses, he thought it was so safe that he did not believe that so he that his security guard go, and next thing you know all his stuff was robbed
