For the bowing side beams, why not just put stakes into the ground on the outside rather than a cross piece?

We may do once it ends up in it's final position however for now it needs to be mobile and don't really want to start making holes in ground cover.

There is a fence project on the way, the hedge is less urgent and after doing the other half last year I don't look forward to it! :-)
