In this video I meet up with a very special visitor from Mazatlán who is here to help me ride around Oaxaca and eat some truly OUTRAGEOUS food! Together we stay in one of the "rough" parts of the city, exploring the BIZARRE cultures, and trying such UNUSUAL foods as fried grasshoppers and going to INCREDIBLE gourmet restaurants! Lilí adds her VERY OWN touch to this video as she explains the ANCIENT techniques of pre-hispanic cooking in BOTH English and Español during her class with an expert teacher!! I like your vids and live vicariously watching them. This vid was a little tough you switching back and forth from english to spanish. I speak basically no spanish so maybe that is why.
Thanks! Yeah, I like to experiment with different techniques just to try to keep it fresh, sometimes it works and sometimes not, but ya always learn something. I appreciate the good feedback 👍

thats a lot of work for a meal , i bet it was busting with epic flavors.. On another note--- when you edit your videos on average how much footage gets cut or not used ? my mexico trip i have like 60 gigs of footage for a week and i wanna post it all ..lol..
Yeah man! Oaxaca is famous for those traditional moles. Food has been a central part of here for thousands of years
Oh, man. Not much! I’ve got about 6 terabytes of footage just chilling in external hard drives. I’ve gotten better at not filming everything and choosing what to leave out, but sometimes it’s like killing a unicorn 🦄

Yeah, about a week out. Will be here thru May. Afterwards planning a route thru Querétaro, Guanajuato, Mazatlán and hopefully thru Batopilas otw to Sturgis.
