First time I seen u and Scotty touring few years ago ur spanish was almost zero, damn ur Espaniol really picked up hell of a lot better than mine, maybe because I stoped touring almost 20 years ago, maybe because my education was so intermittently, when Mexicans do compliment me on my spanish, I always tell them if I could trade my German in for Spanish I'd be dangerous always get a good laugh, Ride on Bro, also glad u stayed in touch with that French dude, I liked that guy from the beginning,
Hey my friend I would love to tag along with yall in mexico and beyond. I fell in Love with Batopilas & want to explore and experience more . Also love the videos Joe keep them coming.
Really love the cultural stuff that you pack your vids full of !!! having been a whittler / woodcarver for over 50 years , always my biggest interest in in the arts & crafts community of all cultures & countries , & this vid covered that also , thank you very much , I am a big fan of your work & screw being safe my man , keep on having an absolute ball !!!
I was a student of geography so rock formations and topography interests me. I rode thru Oaxaca and parts of MX city…..and of course interior mountain regions…love riding in MX. I’ve crossed over at Mission, TX, El Paso and Columbus, NM….live in Austin….lived for a year on the border in Port Isabel, TX.
The rickety suspension bridge and the rock formation were my absolute favorite!.. Cant wait to see the next part of the journey!... Ride safe my man!!!
Oh geez. It’s been a long time since I took that trip. Just ride mostly during the day and you should be alright. Maybe check the local news. They have frequent teacher’s strikes in Oaxaca which can get a lil hairy
I tell ya, I miss the suspension I had on the KLR. It wasn’t a great bike- the brakes sucked and it had zero power when packed- but on roads of broken asphalt, that bike shined.
Just curious what year model is the Honda ST and how many miles is on it? And what brand of tires you run on it? I bought one about 5 months ago it's an 2003 with 36000 miles on it? Thanks. And keep making the vids.
Hey Bud, So what made you decide to head back to old Mexico? Beautiful Country for sure. The Peacock reminded me of a book I read about French Guiana and the surrounding Islands,The Guards at Devils Island used them around the Prison .I guess they get very loud when they see something out of place. Take care my friend.
Great question 💡 well, when it comes down to it, I enjoy learning about the culture and language. I’d already explored a good deal of the US, but Mexico was fascinating because it’s so different.
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond You have become quite fluent it seems in the language, Good for you bud, enjoy life while you can. The couple you stayed with have a great set up there. Take care...until the next time Joe .
Doable, absolutely. Easy? Hell no! Lmao. The hardest part was just adapting to the cultural differences and learning to get around. It’s intense, but absolutely possible
I have had the idea of going to visit family in Mexico, to travel by motorcycle from California to Ocuilan. But i get that fear of going alone through a possible dangerous route.. did you encounter anything like that? Fear of certain people? I’m Mexican and still have that fear 😅
Oh cool, around Cuernavaca. I was around that general area last summer- in Tepoztlán. Let's just say- I've been to Mexico several times, and know lots of people who travel there on a bike. I've never heard of any serious problems from within my circle. In general I avoid traveling at night. To be honest I'm freaked out every single time I go down lol, but hey. It;s awesome so it;s worth the risk . Hope you get to see your family

True dat. I tell you, it feels pretty exotic when you’re 800 mi south of the border!
Thanks man
Well I wouldl call you Joe exotic but....
Lol. No.
side note, i live in Orlando, peacocks everywhere. An annoying amount and they are aggressive ha.
Lmao. I’m sure a lot of this stuff is in the states too, it’s just crazy to be in a strange place and see this stuff

What's the easiest way to learn Espanol?? Do you have a recommendation for a book??
Yeah! I've been thru several. The best by far is Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish. If you can make it thru that, you'll be pretty comfortable.
