Stalker Anomaly just got TWO New Questlines and New Maps!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 окт 2024
- Scripted quests is something I've said needed to be added to Anomaly for a long time same with new maps. While Stalker GAMMA and EFP go for the 'super hardcore realism tactical difficulty' experience these smaller addons make for some great additions to the Anomaly experience.

Thoroughly agree about your take on GAMMA. Been essentially stripping it down and making it less grindy and it’s been a lot more enjoyable and immersive. Great video!
Thanks for watching.
At that point why not just install base Anomaly? I think understanding the context is important. Call of Chernobyl was the first sandbox, combine all zones into 1, free roam etc etc. Anomaly improved on it, made it have more of a grind - because to be honest, without the grind, all that youre left with is a basic main quest (shut down the miracle machine, shutdown the brain scorcher, go find strelok, go to the CNPP), and a bunch of repeatable fetch quests. If you strip away all the grind, thats all you'd be left with.
true but its fun still to just do artifact hunting when you dial in the settings i either do a merc or a ecologist playthrough and basically a hit man or a science bitch@@z0h33y
@@z0h33y I started with GAMMA and have realized through playing what experience I am looking for, hence the stripping down. I enjoy the QOL but investing time into making a custom mod list when you’ve already got a 400+ modpack full of visual and qol mods you already enjoy. I am literally looking at other mod packs currently and thinking of getting expedition with visual changes only. I understand the context of GAMMA, it is just not fully for me - the modular part within the name is the main component for me. I also play one life iron man 90% of the time.
Not everybody has time to thoroughly craft their own mod list of anomaly from scratch and I am one of those people.
Personally, I do like GAMMA, but holy crap is it grindy and borderline nonsensical. I tend to turn off the Economy mod because I think the idea of merchants not selling weapons or armor is just stupid, the explanation of 'I don't want the military breathing down my neck' doesn't make any sense considering all stalkers are kill on sight and outside of crackdowns the military can't and won't do a lot to stop the flow of weapons and artifacts into and out of the zone. And I tend to also increase loot drops because I find it hard to believe that everyone decided to go into the zone with a broken gun, three bullets, and an adult fun magazine.
Amazing that Anomaly has actual quest now. This will improve the game greatly
Agreed. Thanks for watching.
curious if grok will implement those new maps in gamma. the idea of having another city than limansk, with more medium level stalkers sounds very cool for early game. also new cool underground areas of course.
Yuhzniy is way better than Limansk. Far more open. I always found Limansk to be very linear. Both it and red forest (the clear sky version, radar used to be called red forest in SoC) were designed to be very linear quick almost call of duty style missions in the original game.
@@BrokenCircle1 yeah i agree. The Design of limansk is very restrictive and it bothered me before. Makes Sense with the quick Missions. Still keeps luring us in with good loot the cheeky bastard.
Limansk was taken straight from the super linear 2nd last mission segment from Clear Sky (I think?). The whole level dosen't really work in a sandbox environment at all because its essentially just one big corridor.
i mean it works fine in gamma as is
@@BrokenCircle1 Can I play those in Gamma or only in Anomaly? Also...can I play all of them at once? I mean the ones in your description, those levels in the video
7:06 is exactly how I felt about EFP when I gave it a shot, and when I'd bring up my misgivings in their discord, the responses I got came down to "skill issue" or "you need to tweak the mod options", but man, the amount of mods that were there, and the amount of tweaking I'd have to do to get it where I'd want it, and all without knowing if changing some options will or won't fuck over other mods and how they might fuck over other mods, and all the while if I talk about how I changed it I would get a bunch of neckbeards saying I wasn't playing it right because ???. The real big thing that pushed me away from that was how frequently I'd run into spots where I'd instantly get a MASSIVE and lethal radiation dose instantly without knowing why and it being disproportionate to anything I have ever seen in the original games or in the old Call of Chernobyl, and in bringing it up, getting told that was just normal and that it was a skill issue. I found out that the reason why it was happening is because of weird holes in the way that a couple of maps are handled where there's like a few square inch spots that will give insane amounts of radiation, essentially just a bug with the mapping.
I'd really love to see more mods similar to these.
I died once to an invisible mephistim anomaly and it traumatized me ever since. But later on I found out that some mephistim anomaly spots were always invisible, not glowing yellow like normal. Pretty sure that's a bug.
@@roducliaharenvol8302 Huh, I don't actually recognize the name of that anomaly, I dunno if its just another name for an anomaly I know of or maybe i'm just not aware of all anomalies.
It really is not that hard to tweak any of the options, you just got overwhelmed because it was most likely your first time playing a large modpack without any anomaly modding experience prior. The 'few square inch spots" are a very common thing in both the originals and Anomaly, which is not a mapping bug, it's just how it was. One example of this is the cordon road bridge on the way to the bandit camp, both games give you insane rad for stepping in it, UNLESS you have protection of at least around 40%(?)
Hope this is also in GAMMA
So far I tested the New Levels and it works so far (means they are added, I didnt travel there yet) as for the Weaker creatures, I have yet to encounter some to try,
The brotherhood mod doesnt seem to work for me (maybe I fumbled something) but i get a crash on both exsisting save and new game.
Western goods not tested but I expect it to work
Thank you for the small mention ;)
This is great I think new levels is desperately needed, we had so many years to learn all the locations, new places and quests is exactly what anomaly needs, Might even inspire me to get Dark signal mod pack running again, It was anomaly with quality of life addons, avoiding artificial difficulty and a huge emphasis on sound.
Such an amazing list! Im saving it for later this week, when i have time to mod my game further. I especially gotten attracted to Brotherhood and the one that lets you tweak mutants.
Thanks for watching!
Hey mate, have you completed the "What happened last night?" quest in Brotherhood, y'know, the one in the C.S base? I've been trying to find what to do for days and theres nothing online about it...
@manfreddanfred4424 Not even done it yet. I made the video kind of on the fly. Most of the footage used here was my first time playing alot of the quests. I had to go into debug mode to get to the new underground areas because I only reached the point in the quest for those today.
Sorry.
@@Manfred_Danfred You don't know how to find it, or what to do afterwards?
@@theRevolutionBegin what to do afterwards, y'know the part after you blackout from drinking and wake up near the burnt farmstead? Yeah I'm on that part for the longest time and don't know how to continue from there
Those all sound like great improvements. In a way, restorations of what made SoC great and more of the type of thing that makes Anomaly new.
Yeah I've always had a love hate relationship with Anomaly. At the moment I'm more on the hate side.
It's just absurd to me how difficult the AI are in that mod.
Like they know where you are pretty much at all times and are super accurate. Add to this the fact that even if you don't get killed your armor is so damaged and expensive to repair even on the lowest settings you might as well reload your last save anyways.
I think for me it might be back to Lost Alpha or maybe a break from stalker altogether for a while.
Thanks for this video - I never knew about that Creatures Weaken mod, and that goes at least some way to alleviating one of the things I like least about Anomaly and other Misery-derivative mods' changes to difficulty balancing. I appreciate your commentary about the focus of a lot of Anomaly-based mods on extreme hardcore difficulty / grinding, and I have a similar love / hate relationship with Anomaly as a result. I know the OpenXRay team are working towards compatibility with Call Of Chernobyl, so I'm hoping once that happens, modders will start to port all this amazing content over to a platform that has more of the vanilla STALKER feel.
Thanks for watching.
Vanilla mutants are weak and slow, I installed Dangerous Mutants v3, and now they're perfect.
@@tomigun5180 Disagree, default Anomaly mutants are already overtuned to shit, Dangerous Mutants is by the author's own assertion a meme mod that's intentionally extremely difficult.
@@tomigun5180Boars in particular are ridiculous, I shouldn’t have to pump 3 clips of mosin into it before it dies
@@Theinvalidmusic Maybe the previous versions, where the monsters were immune to explosives. But v3 is really balanced. I never used damage reduction drugs like morphine before, or the underbarrel grenade launchers. Now, when I see a pseudogiant, I learned to immediately load the grenade launcher, when I see a chimera, I use morphine AND load the grenade launcher. I always keep in mind the nearest high ground where I can flee from mutants. Mutants are now the real Kings of the Zone, not only a minor inconvenience to soak up some of the ammo I found/bought. It's immense fun! I don't recommend using it with GAMMA though, I heard that Chimeras are hunting now in packs of 3, sometimes... 😅
STALKER 2 has absolutely MASSIVE shoes to fill 😅 I think anomaly will still be the go-to game for a while until the entire modding community shifts to S2
Yeah especially considering years before release they revealed you need to pay over $100 just to get the day 1 DLC lol
Stalker 2 is gonna be called Stalker 1.5 if it doesn't get its shit together.
Stalker 2 is going to be visually updated and probably nice, but having a main character and story line to follow I think it will fall short when compared to the amazing mod packs that Stalker 1 has. Will probably take Stalker 2 1-2 years to get on point in my opinion.

i also like the two maps you can add thei are really nice
I would also love to see the maps from True stalker get added into both anomaly and GAMMA, between that and maybe some of the features it had aswell.
True Stalker is amazing by itself. I'm pretty much done with Anomaly and it's forks. Over time I've realized it's quite a shallow mod. It kind of sucks to be honest. I've been thinking that ever since it came out but recently playing things like True Stalker and OP 2 has only confirmed my feelings on Anomaly.
@@BrokenCircle1 What i don't know how when it's literally the best stalker mod out their and has also been praised by GSC the makers of stalker they also gave assets for the mod crew to make Anomaly but everyone is entitled to there opinion. Thanks for the content.
Those looks interesting. It’s always really cool when modders are able to crack the code and get something working that nobody thought was possible. I should probably check out Stalker at some point.
Stalker makes me think of Fallout Frontier because the modders basically stole a bunch of the assets from that game. If you don’t know what Fallout Frontier is you sure are in for a treat🤣. All kinds of AMAZING STUFF like the Sneedclave raiding the mod’s Reddit and Discord, Tyler McVicker conducting the WORST interview with the lead guy (Tyler read every comment, and I mean EVERY COMMENT. Even the ones that were very obvious paid/troll posts. The chat got raided by the Sneedclave, and there were a few points where he unintentionally got the lead guy to say various sus things while trying to sweep it up for the guy), one of the devs was a sick man who drew prn of underaged My Little Pony characters and they threw him under the bus to use as a fall guy (people REPEATEDLY told them about what Zu Skunk did and they’d ignore it), and within like a week the mod died🤣😂. You should definitely look into that dumpster fire. Some guy did an interview with some of the Sneedclave’s ring leaders and it was pure gold.
Good video. You should talk about more mods for the different games you play.
Sounds like a disaster lol. Thanks for watching.
Yeah stalker anomaly is totally free. Definitley give it a download and at some point I may put my modded build on Google drive or something (the footage you saw here mostly has 60ish mods on top of anomaly)
I've been making alot of videos lately about different games I like. Command and conquer, worldbox, stalker etc.
Been kinda taking a break from Halo as I've just lost hope at this point. Actually reinstalled Halo Infinite the other day and might play it for the first time in 6 months this weekend but I don't know. Not really in the mood to be annoyed lol.
I just figured I'd try infinite and see what it's like now though the whole live service poorly optimized cash shop thing kills it for me every time.
I don't know. Guess I just got tired of ranting about Halo. I'll do another video on it one day. Also gonna do another Worldbox video soonish (been super busy in my personal life, like SUPER busy) so that will come out when it can.
@@BrokenCircle1i appreciate your videos mainly due to the fact it’s not always gamma. I love anomaly but personally don’t care for gamma. I like the freedom I get outside of gamma such as being able to buy guns from vendors etc. and also I love how informative you are. I had no idea anomaly got new lvls and quest. Being as I’m a merchant marine having anomaly on my omen 15 really helps when I’m out at sea for 30 plus days and I have down time. And if you do put ur list on Google drive for others to download that’d be sick. Keep up the good work
@keithsweat4920 Thanks for watching and the kind words. Not sure what an Omen 15 is. I could put it on drive though right now I've only put about 10 hours of testing in my current modded build so I don't know how well it would work. It crashes occasionally and I can't figure out why.
As for GAMMA yeah I despise it. Tried it two or three times and thought that for the most part it just extended everything wrong with vanilla anomaly.
Edit: if you wanna make your game closer to mine the most major game changing mods I use are autumn denatured textures, screen space shaders, everything mentioned in this video, weird task framework, classic clouds, and dynamic mutants.
Everything else is just small QOL things that I put there due to my gripes with vanilla anomaly.
Edit 2: oh and also hideout furniture and dynamic emission cover are a must as well.
@BrokenCircle1 I’ll probably try it out at some point. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hopefully making those videos will be fun. I can definitely understand wanting to take a break from stuff you get burned out/blackpilled out. For me it was Star Wars after Disney took over and ran it into the ground. It’s amazing just how big of a dumpster fire it became. From what I’ve heard that Andor show was good and I’ve heard mixed things about Ahsoka, but they’re part of the Disney continuity so I don’t have much interest. The only truly good Star Wars things to come out of Disney are EA’s Battlefront 2 post Lootbox disaster, and Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor post optimization and rebalancing certain things.
Forge AI is right around the corner and that will definitely allow for all kinds of truly insane things to be made. There’s a video showing off the new features and it looks awesome. People have already been able to make all kinds of crazy things in Infinite’s Forge with scripting like CoD Zombies using multiplayer bots, classic Battlefront 2 space maps with turrets that shoot at you, Left 4 Dead maps using multiplayer bots armed with different weapons to simulate the special infected (Forge ai will make that even crazier). Once people get ahold of Forge AI I’ll reinstall the game. Haven’t played since I beat the campaign and once the honeymoon phase wore off I realized the game has numerous issues. It has a pretty solid gameplay foundation, but is severely lacking on content/variety. The game needs some more guns, vehicles, and various other things. Hopefully things are on the right track, but I probably shouldn’t hold my breath.
Luckily I have a bunch of different things I like so if one goes bad I can still have fun, but it is depressing when something once great goes down the drain.
Good luck with your other stuff. Thanks for making these videos. Do you think you’d ever do a play through of C&C Renegade or probably not? That game deserves the Nightdive remastered treatment. So does Vivisector Beast Within, and Turok Evolution so they can fix it’s flaws. You should check out the Turok games when they go on sale. It’s a pretty crazy setting.
What the hell are you talking about
I absolutely agree about GAMMA etc and their grind/difficulty. I wish there was a modpack that looked as amazing as GAMMA but took away those things
Damn finally anomaly wont feel like a shitty stalker sandbox
I have mostly thought to myself that new levels are needed because the new factions don't really have anywhere to be. I guess sin has the mine in red forest but that is a terrible starting location with all the high tier mutant and being a fresh spawn player. Renegades and UNISG suffer even more because they really don't have anywhere to claim as their own. In fact the only place I know of where UNISG spawn is a spot over in outskirts that also happens to have a very consistent chimera spawn and because stalker anomaly has a STRONG exosuit meta they almost always get killed off without ever seeing them. As for renegades it would be nice if they had some sort of base with a trader and a mechanic the whole shebang. REDONE has somewhat helped with the UNISG thing though as there are now some other places they can spawn in.
Anomaly being free makes it so popular in my opinion, if it was $60 the fact that the only to do is shoot and that the late game, gameplay is a cake walk would kill it.
Add new maps wasnt imposible for stalker mods before. There's a lot of mods with unique maps. This addon in particular took some maps from ISOTD mod that stoped it develop. I understand that this is one of the first times we add maps to "anomaly" in particular, but it was not impossible.
If somehow the Lost Alpha maps could or can be ported to anomaly with mods like EFP and Gamma in warfare mode it would be absolutely insane, I would be more exited for that than Stalker 2 to be honest.
Bro western goods is the best mod I've seen yet. thats amazing I really want a western cigs packs mod I wanna smoke American Spirits and Newports in the zone
You made me want to give anomaly another try. Would you mind sharing some kind of mod list?
One of these days after I fully sort out my mod list and make it stop crashing I plan to upload it to google drive.
In the meantime the most major mods I use are everything seen in this video, autumn desaturated textures, screen space shaders, weird tasks framework, an EFT sound mod I can't remember the name of, and dynamic mutants.
Everything else I use is just little tweaks to sort out my issues with vanilla Anomaly.
I like anomaly with just animations mod and realistic magazines mod
I think it is called magredux
4:21 anyone correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that the New Levels addon still requires a new game for people just now installing the mod or for people like me still on an older version. The only instance that you don't need a new save is if you already have the 0.5 version of the mod with the newly added underground levels and are updating to 0.5.1, as that update is just bug fixes and doesn't include any new levels.
Oh damn. Not that you point that out it seems I was wrong. Yes that appears to be the case.

I don't see how having to collect gun parts and put together guns is "Artificial difficulty" It is a far more realistic approach of what would have been happening in the zone, It is far more lore friendly rather than a trader having an entire armory for sale upon approach.
But to each their own I guess :) Both ways are fun to play!

Is this for gama or anomaly? I installed the new level mod version 0.52 but the new maps are not accessible, even the mercenaries and monolith forces were not able to reach the army warehouse from red forest and dead city because their access points were blocked or brocken. My anomaly game was updated to ver 1.5.2, so is there a patch that adjusts compatibility of this mod to make it work with anomaly?
This mor works with gamma????
I totally get your point about gamma but that grind extension is kind of what i like about it ironically. The so called "hobo phase" where you have little supplies and pick up everything that can be useful is my favourite part of the game tbh. It has this unique true zone survival feel to it that is kind of eliminated by the later phases of the game. When i was playing vanilla anomaly back in 2019-2021 it started to bore me after i got good armor and best guns. Gamma makes it more difficult through a more gradual progression system and better crafting and stash system and i personaly love it so far.
Extending the hobo phase makes the game way more interesting and personal in my opinion.
Can nobody make a standalone Game out of this?

Well, the thing is... this is basically a massive modpack, especially GAMMA - and within it it's like a mix of features. Now some players may like some of those, some may not and would turn them off, while others would want everything. So it's kinda tough to solidify all that into a single game. Being able to customize the experience to your own liking is what I think gives this game more charm.
