Question on ebook design: I know you covered the licensing section in the beginning. To clarify, can someone use a template to create their ebook and subsequently sell their ebook? or is that not in accordance with licensing rules?

This was a great video!! Canva does pay attention to its users. I asked a question on another video about worksheets and boom... here comes this video. I noticed there were many free elements used and some that were pro. As sellers, are we allowed to use pro elements?
Hey LaShana - yes, we love when people ask questions! As for this question, the short answer is yes, as long as you have modified the design enough or used the elements in a way that is uniquely yours. In other words, you couldn't just use one pro element in the middle of a poster and sell it as yours. Does that make sense?

Wait so if a create wall art, or educational worksheets, or coloring pages or planners, I can’t download as a pdf or PNG OR JPEG and sell it as-is? I can’t sell the pdf? I guess I miss understood Canva Support team when they emailed me. Please help me clarify. I love Canva! Thanks for the video!

I had to ait 10 minutes to learn how to make a template in the correct size. Needless to say I STILL DO NOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION! SO HOW DO I OPEN CANVA TO MAKE THE RIGHT SIZE EBOOK TEMPLATE TO USE WITH MY OWN PICTURES ETC???
If using a pro element in a digital download design how does the customer obtain their purchase if selling in Shopify? You have to upload artfiles for purchase.

I have the text of a book but can't work out how to use Canva to do the cover - there's too many options and terms I don't understand. Does anyone know?
Hey there. The book cover will depend on what size it is, so it might be best to create a new design with the exact size you want. Hit the 'Create a design' button and then choose 'Custom size'. Hope that helps.

@@canva I just reread some of the license, So in order to sell as a digital file. Ex.. I upload my design to etsy that I created on canva, I have to have a written agreement with each customer? The License is very confusing and seems to have a lot of loop holes.
Hey there! To clarify, selling your design as a digital file (i.e., PNG, SVG, PDF, JPEG, MP4) is allowed if it only has Free content. Got it, Duda! If you're under the Canva for Education subscription, you are unable to use the designs for commercial use.

Once you have created a design, are you allowed to download that design and then sell it without having to send a link back to Canva? You just show examples where you send a link to the customer to Canva

@ohplease587 @canva please answer because also with the pro account, i was under the impression we had a commercial license, which meant we could use everything in canva, redesign templates and sell it as a ebook ect. Now your saying we can only use the free elements to sell with no restrictions, If thats the case whats the point in having Canva pro? I am a long time subscriber of pro and inlight of this new information, i am thinking of cancelling the pro account and just use the free vision as this does not make any sense.

not using images of specific person ..
All of Canva's free content is free source ..
I should design from scratch using your free content (graphic, video, image, font, shapes) then sell it, print it or sell it after printing.
Avoid using templates for desinging to sell .. start from scratch using free content and take the inspration from templates .
If I am designing for my personal use, my wedding, my small business, my class and students , I can use your templates.
And while all of this .. i will keep telling my clients and each person asks me about the design that it is made by canva and the rights originally goes to them
