@@MrParkerman6 ohh. why so dark man?
I think it gets better on every repeat. I like knew it was coming even before watching this clip and yet, this is the hardest I've ever laughed about this. My stomach hurts.
I love how Conan says, "there's two of them", and then immediately realize how dumb the joke really is. Pure genius.
On the last ever episode of Conan, Paul Rudd should swing by and say "I'm really proud of the work you've done your entire career and I love you and to show you how much I love you I brought a clip that's a montage of your best moments from when late night started until now,"...and then it has to be the clip of Mac and Me. And the second time when Conan asks to play the real clip it has to be Mac and me again one last time.
Prescient!
Well, what happened last night was close enough.
You're a prophet
What an incredible new concept! I thought at first it might completely bomb, but oh boy was I shocked?! The storyline is beautifully written and executed.
I can't believe that Rudd went to the trouble of adding a CGI second Mac.
Haha I didn't get that until I read your comment.
it's most likely Conan's staff that does it
Who’s Joe?
Loki: “Are you ever not going to fall for that?”
I would have been furious if he DIDN’T show that clip after all these years.
He doesn't show it every now and then which is great because then we never know when to expect it
@@SpicyPotatoe Untrue. The only time he didn't show the clip on Tonight Show with Conan/Late Night with Conan/Conan is when Judd Apatow physically flew over to the studio Conan is filmed in, and made sure that Rudd didn't use a different clip than his film that was being promoted, Knocked Up. Other than that one instance, Rudd has always brought the Mac and Me clip, even when he was promoting Ant-Man.
imagine when paul rudd actually showed a real clip, everyone on the studio would be disappointed instead
I love how the last line of fading audio is Conan just saying "that was hilarious!" while shaking Paul Rudd's hand. He's right, the guy is so damn entertaining even his talk show appearances have meta jokes.
When he said “...through the forest” I died. And then when there was a clone of Mac, I died again. Or my clone did.
I knew exactly what was coming and I still laughed my ass off.
I know right LOL if you look at Conans face before the clip shows he knew Paul was lying 😂😂😂
After seeing the Hot Ones interview him doing this makes so much sense lol
YES!!! I was going to say this exact thing! When he is on Conan (and Jimmy Fallon), he gets to be the genuine guy he is and not shill himself out for the marketing of a project. People should really watch the Hot Ones interview. Also, watch Living With Your Self, it's a great show !
Listen to Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend Podcast episode with Paul Rudd. They touch on the Mac and Me prank hahahah
Link?????
What did they say?
You can really tell how much that gag meant to Conan. Both Paul and Conans careers have really taken off since their first interview (they were big then, just bigger now) and being back on his show, running the gag from however many years ago (a gag that no host other than Conan would probably let fly), really just helps frame how much time and dedication they’ve put into their fields. Conan looked genuinely happy afterwards.
Compared to the other Marvel actors, he seems so unaffected by that prestige.
Very true! I can watch him in anything, but if I see RDJ in another movie I’m like “Oh, Tony Stark is a lawyer now!” 😂
Like, he's the most based actor from the MCU from what I've seen.
There's a comfort knowing that some things will never change.
True 😂😂😂
i purposely didn't look at the comments up until i finished it so that i can fully savor the moment when it comes and not be "spoiled" hehehehe i love this
You should always watch a video before looking at the comments of that video. I've read so many times different variations of people reading comments before or during a video and it just doesn't make sense to me that anyone would do this. Why?
its because of the bit paul rudd was going to do bud that's why i made the comment. If it makes you feel any better i don't scroll in the comments when watching videos here on youtube.
I did the same thing. :) i was watching this in the café and laughed my ass off!
I just found out about this running joke... and I love Conan's response to it... EVERY TIME. Makes me laugh so hard to see his reaction to being shown that clip... AGAIN.
I just want to thank Conan, Sona, Andy and THE ENTIRE CREW AND TEAM of this show for booking this absolute gem of a man.
I needed a laugh and I got it.
It’s so great that he’s never acknowledged what he’s doing in all the years
He did once. When promoting Ant Man
MrKG204 yeah but he mixed in it which made it even funnier😆
@@MrKG204 True but that was mostly just a set up to convince people that he had a real clip. It was even better that time since it started as an actual Ant-Man clip before cutting to Mac and Me.
I almost thought it was gonna be a real clip this time, so glad it wasn’t
Then you are a dumbass who just doesn't get it.
@arruda ur mum
I can’t believe that I fell for it! Oldest gag in talk show history.
Classic Paul Rudd.
This has become a tradition in Conan now.
I knew what clip i was getting and stayed for both clips. It doesnt get old to me
