@@conkyvsricki4710 and also Sean Evans #HotOnes want to fight against hot wings by Conan and Andy for last show on TBS. Ever. Now comes to #HBOMax show for #Conan
Hader's face! I do believe we saw his soul start to leave his body when Paul said he had a clip of the failed sketch.
Hader was too gullible to think Paul would actually show the dress rehearsals clip 🤣
@@MarcKloos Well that's the thing, everything gets recorded, all it takes is one of the castmates, hosts, or their families to pull out their phone and record the dress rehearsal; and outside of "Conan," it probably would've been the actual clip, lol
This is why Rudd got me, it was the sheer look of terror on Haders face
I'm pretty sure Bill was in on it. The whole Ed Burns thing was clearly a setup for Paul's entrance.
@@amyb1078 I'm sure we'll hear the story about this some day, hopefully the next time he's on Conan's podcast. Given Bill's anxiety, I can completely believe he panicked at the idea that a dress rehearsal clip he wouldn't want anyone to see is about to be shown, but he has done some really good dramatic work on Barry (and a few other movies), so maybe it was just an incredible acting job.
The most underrated part of this clip is Paul Rudd mentioning Baby Geniuses and Bill Hader immediately identifying that it was directed by Bob Clark.
Bill Hader has an encyclopedic knowledge of movies that may even rival Tarantino. I’ve found a whole bunch of clips on RUclips where he talks about obscure films.
I’ll be honest, that’s the first time Paul has gotten me with that clip in awhile.

@@wonderyearsdouche475 When I was little, I had no idea that onion rings were made from onions. I thought that was just a name until I bit into one and pulled an onion out. lol
The second you see Rudd, you know he's showing that clip, and you know that Conan knows it's coming. He sees it. But he clings to that tiny spark of hope that this time, this time it will be different. He clings so hard that he falls for it twice in a row.
somehow charlie brown convinces himself... "THIS is the time I'll finally kick the football." The joke is actually less about the clip but the amount of mis-direction Paul uses to get us there.
Paul Rudd is so attractive
Also he's never aged. It's kind of amazing
Paul rudd just celebrated his 100th birthday
Kevin Bacon is Paul Rudd’s younger brother.

Paul Rudd - "If you want to see the sketch....."
Team Coco - ITS COMING ITS COMING
I grew up watching baby geniuses and the fact that Paul really made me believe he was going to show that clip which is exactly as he describes it just to get me again with that classic wheelchair plummet is hysterical! Love the man!
lol yeah I remember that movie and I really believed he was going to show that movie.
Is it a real scene?
@@braedenkraft-rudolph577 i think so, i don't remember, it was a very strange movie
"Classic wheelchair plummet" 😅
Wow! I totally thought he really had a clip this time 🤣 Genius set up
Baby Genius setup. 🤣. Ok I'm done
got me too. I have zero idea why I didn't expect it, I just really wanted to see that bomb sketch.
I knew it! He's not gonna show the clip, he will be showing Mac & Me again and again! 🤣
(and didn't disappoint me)
I gotta give it to Rudd, and the assist by Hader, selling it as a legit intro to a "never before seen clip". I got lost in the story of how bad the cut-for-time SNL sketch was, that I never saw the "Mac and Me" gag coming. Bra-f*cking-vo! Thanks for getting one more in, Paul. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
the setup for this was incredible, completely forgot about Mac n me
It shows you what an amazing actor Paul Rudd is because that second time he really did an intro as believable as possible
Andy Richter: "Whoever dies first, you have to do that at the other one's funeral."
"The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master." - Paul Rudd, probably.
Actually I think it was Wayne Gretzky who said that.
I love everything about Paul Rudd. He literally is a national sweetheart and treasure.
The most legendary running gag in talk show history
What a legend. Conan is the standard by which all late night is measured. His relationships are amazing with Bill Burr, Paul Rudd, Jeff Goldblum, Flula Borg , Steven Yeun, and Timothy Olyphant. I can’t wait to see his new journey. Been a loyal fan since 1995
The names you mentioned..the best guests in the show and like you said his relationship with all of them is amazing.
And Norm
Bill Burr too.
@@mrinalmrinalinee5373 he said Bill Burr.
Will Farrell, Jack Black, Martin Short, Christopher Walken. Also great on Conan.
I see this clip has over 2 million views now -- this is a bit deceiving as it's actually just the same 200,000 people watching it for the tenth time. It's not just one of the best moments in the Conan history, it's one of the best in talk show history.
One last time, bill just sitting there laughing his legs off. Rudd never failed with that
Was wildly disappointed during Antman & The Wasp that he wasn’t watching *that* movie while under house arrest. Please correct in “Quantumania!”
@George Washington i don't know how you did it but every word you just said was completely wrong
The setup for the second clip was executed perfectly.
I was really worried when he wasn’t on the list for this week that they wouldn’t have him do it one more time. Really glad this happened. And I loved seeing how joyful Conan was.
This bit will never get old and Bill's laughter and relief that it wasn't the video of the dress rehearsal makes it all the better🤣
I feel like Paul Rudd went to Conan's office and made that clip the screensaver on Conan's laptop.
I can't believe he got me with the Baby Geniuses clip. This joke will never stop being funny. 😂😂😂
We all know it's coming, and we all still laugh. One of the best bits ever.
The fact that Paul Rudd enters like a "surprise" guest on the Phil Donahue show with the hidden stool and everything just had me rolling even before they played the clip. Somewhere someone keeps getting these random royalty checks for Mac & Me and is so damn confused.
So glad you said that! I was thinking during this that I bet that kid in the wheelchair still gets royalties from Paul showing this every time!
Paul Rudd is so unbelievably attractive, sometimes it’s hard to comprehend lmfaoo
Ever since I saw his face in Clueless.
It's amazing he was in Friends and he still has a career in the big movie picture...
he defies age.
He really is and always has been drastically underrated in terms of looks and charm.

I fell for it again! It absolutely didn't occur to me that this was coming. Holy crap. He is so good at this.
I kinda fell for the second one HARDER because he already got it out and gave a genuinely good description of "What might have been..." Then one frame into the clip I lose it laughing.
For a split second there I believed that Paul Rudd actually wanted to show the sketch clip.
God, gonna miss this
