Great list Preston, finally one that I can really agree on! I have found myself going down the rabbit hole of all sorts of puzzles, cuboids and copters being my favorite. I’m starting to collect custom 3D printed puzzles now and plan on buying a 4x4 bump cube and a 3x5x7. Thanks for sharing!
I also love to bring 3-4 of my favorite puzzles along on any trips, especially if I'll be gone for more than three weeks. They're a great way to pass the time on really long flights, train rides, or bus rides. Sadly, the Bermuda Megaminx series appears to no longer be in active production. I went to order one and neither Ziicube, Cubezz, Aliexpress, or The Cubicle has any black versions from that series in stock. Unless they bring the series back into production, I may NEVER be able to find even a single black puzzle from the series. THANKS for the videos, Preston. It's always really enjoyable to gain further insight into your extensive and unique collection.
17:50 I love that 4x4x4 MixUp Plus, it made me think new ways to solve (i never ever any tutorial until i discover by my self how to solve the puzzles).
Great list! The Skewby Copter Plus, Bagua, Bauhania II, 3x4x5 are also on my fav list. I will also include the Speed Tuttminx, Crazy Octahedron Plus, 4x4x4 Crazy v3, Rhombic Tuttminx, Eitan's Star, 3x3x3 Mixup Plus, Multi-Skewb and Super 3x3x8 v2 to round out my top 12.
I really enjoyed the Dayan 16 axis cube as well! It got me into the "clover puzzle" rabbit hole. Now I have the 4-corners cube, verypuzzle clovers, and various others. Thanks for the tutorial!
14:30 The Bagua is really a very interesting puzzle and if tension is adjusted so when you pull out from center the edge till force needed to increase a lot to continue and then measure near 1.8mm to 2mm, the turn is so smooth you can do finger tricks; tension adjustment is not intuitive. When pull out the edge from the center (on solved state) with finger till your force need to increase a lot to continue pulling, if you see the small triangle piece it looks like near to be able to be extracted but just not because a small tip of the vertex of the internal triangle. If a rule is put over the center, the separation between the edge of the center and edge piece is below 2mm but more than 1.5mm, while you are pulling the edge as most as possible out of center. Warning, while pulling the edge piese also pull the small triangle that goes with the edge, like if the edge would be like a normal 3x3x3 edge... and have all cente taps putted.
2:01 To see it as a 4x4x4 it is better to think like a non same width 4x4x4 layers with two layers glued, try to do three moves from solved state, turn 90 on each of the three axis and look at the centers, then try to mental draw all paralel lines on one side, like extending any pieze separation as if it where all along the face, maybe that way you could see that 4x4x4. But i preffer so see it as a non-centered 3x3x3 cube.
11:50 I preffer the one that has turns on all eigth faces, not just only on four corners. Not sure why, but maybe it is because i like more the simetry.
12:45 I preffer the next level one that has extra cuts on the center of the edges.it is called "twins" also has plus piezes and corners, the only difference is the extra cut on the edges, with twins you can simulate yours.
Very cool list! I especially love that you included the geared Mixup-, Latch- and the Bagua-cube , and the Bauhinia Dodecahedron:D The Shuang Fei Yan seems very interesting! how long does it take you to solve a new puzzle? PS what was your approach at the More Madness Puzzle? I think I can reliably solve the parts on it that are equivalent to the jumble prism but I struggle to find something for the corners and the triangles around them (Im not giving up tho! :DD)
11:26 I have the Son Mum V2 (you called 'evil') and it turn very bad out of the box, but with near one hundred hours of 'sand' and adjust now it can be turned and used with a lot of care; it was one puzzle that makes me not want any MF8 puzzles for a long time. All people recomend V1 (the one you show) and say not buy V2.
@@prestonsmith3137 Yes, the 2x2x2 turn requieres some little sanding, i have a video showing where to sand on the piece; also QBAndo did it on his one and has a video showing the result: ruclips.net/video/jtMxHDVWf-s/видео.html After sanding the turn improves a lot.
I love QBAndo's videos, it was where I got the idea. I am very happy I can use the subtitles and follow his tutorials. What was very special is that he made many videos on different 3x3x3 bandage variations. I think these puzzles are underrated and so easy for people to make without spending any more money. I hope to learn the spiral 3

Nice selection, looking forward to the non mass produced puzzles video!

I like the multi skewb also, I want to play with it some more. I have a special 4x4x4 crazy cube in next video.

YES!! I also love the clover puzzles, I have the icosahedron, dodecahedron, octahedron, and cube plus.
Best of top10 puzzles, i've seen and i not have and not solving no one of this (my first 3x3 was only 9 month ago)
I'm glad you like the video. Keep playing with puzzles you'll surprise yourself. I started with a 3x3 many years ago.
Nice shout-out to the URF algorithm haha. One of the most used algorithms in my solving experience.
Such a useful alg. I'll definitely mention the red bull alg in my next video

I'm waiting forever to see if they release a mf8 twins 2x2 version and I will also get the skewb version.
@@prestonsmith3137 Me too; hope one day (better if prior humanity death) it will be mass produced.

I am doing a lot of sanding on a morpho puzzle, the octavia I believe.
