Fair 🤣 but also... it has undergone an official name change. It's now just "Crassus".
When you were talking about our high capacity transports you forgot about the Stormlord!
Lots of your tactics are ones I would love to use with a Stormlord but at least here in the UK with it being terrain heavy you can barely deploy any baneblade never mind move it.

Great video, my man! I'm excited to try one of these out. Not a super competitive idea, but I really want to fill this thing with 20 Catachan, led by Straken and Inquisitor Coteaz, and a few Bullgryn, all for a hilarious melee beat stick driving up the table. I'm sure it'll all die quickly, but the idea of beating my opponents up with an actual melee guard threat highly amuses me. 😁

It's clearly used to ensure it does its job of transport without falling to enemy fire, because you can't afford to not get your troops moved up. Especially if you want them somewhat together.
One combo I like is a 10 man tempestus scion squad with a command squad that has the drill Commander enhancement and a primaris psyker thrown in for full rerolls to hit on objectives, rerolls to wound from the crassus with sustained 1 critical hits on 5+ with first rank fire second rank fire and take aim from the command rod. Expensive but fun to roll that many dice.
Throw in a bunch of Kasirkin with Ursula and watch effective volume delete models

The way the troops exit the rear is giving me a funny image. A bunch of these tranports unloading a crap ton of infantry.

So, run a Crassus with nothing but scout move capable squads and characters so it can scout move as well. That will make a really big surprise at an event. 😂
Oh crud 😅 I thought I deleted all references to the Scout move out of the video. Unfortunately, since it does not have Dedicated Transport keyword, you cannot give the Crassus Scout move.
These are becoming a necessity with the current rules in my opinion, as Guard is best played with huge blobs that leaders can stack their buffs and orders upon. The Crassus is the final piece of the puzzle as it provides protected mobility and additional firepower to the blob.
I bought a second Crassus just for that reason. I may run two Crassus, 2x 20 man Cadian blobs with Command Squad and Castellans, and 2x 3 Ogryn squads. Two big cans of OC and whoop ass driving around with wounding buffs with the Crassus on key turns.
@@CadianSergeantSteel That sounds good, my plan is similar but instead of Castellans I plan on using Primaris Psykers for that invuln save from shooting. It’s probably not as good point for point but my Castellan is already attached to my Kasrkin and I just wanted to give my Psykers a chance.

And thats without the "Move! Move! Move!" order. The range can be even larger i believe.
Unfortunately for orders when disembarking from a transport, the orders are issued at the end of the phase, meaning movement will already have concluded and so Move, Move, Move wouldn't have any effect.

@@CadianSergeantSteel hmm I was wondering if it would be a good charge blocker. As I’m running 120 kriegsman with 3 marshals, 3 psykers, 3 command squads, lord Solar and 3 Crassus’s. I think you can see where I’m going here

Is the Crassus in the Imperial Guard 10th edition index? I don't see it but I'm only looking on the Warhammer website.
It is in the Forge World Astra Militarum Index cards, not the regular Astra Militarum index. It's a separate set of PDFs in the downloads section.
Its sad that GW hate forgeworld so if this glorious unit doesnt go to plastic its going to go away in the codex.
I can’t find anywhere where it says the transport capacity is 36? I’ve looked on the official app and on BattleScribe but both still say 35. Where can I find it being 36?
I run a full ogryn/bullgryn army with 3 Crassus tanks so this would be huge if it is 36.

Yeah. I just did a couple very quick audio dubs during the Bullgryn / Ogryn discussion. It was sloppy but I didn't want a lot of downtown because this was meant to be paired with the Chimera video 😒 hope it's okay

these are really annoying on the table. I have only fought against them a few times. they are situational but get the job done.
