Greatings Harvey. That is good educational content. I had an idea for a video with Fabia. Has you live in an rusty environment and the car has 20 years maybe it is good idea to do a video about locating and cleaning the battery ground points that are spread in chassis and body. The manual locate them. That will help. Thank you and live an healthy life.
Yep cable not exactly the same, but same length. this one came without the plastic feral clips, but it doesn't make a difference as the clip on the trailing arm holds it in place in the caliper lever. Works fine :-)
They are pre-stretched. Being under the car exposed to the elements with winter FREEZE-THAW eventually effects the materials and lubrication between the inner cable sheath and cable guide. Debris can enter the ends and stiffen up movement or jamb. There can be differences between the cables causing imbalance. It's a good idea to regularly pump the handbrake a number of times to ensure it's functioning well.
Cat checked everything! Good job!

What makes these cables go bad? Do they stretched?
