Great video! I just played Resident Evil HD Remaster recently the first time. )I only know the series since 7.Ö I really enjoyed RE1 and it still looks and plays really great as well! I don't think it needs a remake at all just yet. Same is true for Resident Evil 0. I'm looking for the Code: Veronica, RE 5 and RE 6 remakes. I still didn't play the originals yet.

I’d be quite stoked if they remade this and RE0 into one game, in the same style as the RE2 remake. RE1 could be scenario A & RE0 could be scenario B.
I’ve played all the main line titles except 6, as well as Zero & Code Veronica. I quite like the first person vibe of 7 & 8, but the style of 4 that has been used for the other remakes is my fave way to play Resident Evil.

Yeah we should but it doesn’t matter what we say it’s up to capcom, you can buy or not makes no difference I’m just glad we have resident evil games in general.

I wouldn't mind if there was a remake of 1.
Capcom did say 5 games were in development. Perhaps, re5, code veronica, re1, maybe early development of re6 and of course re9

the twitter post April fools joke was so disappointing, while i think we definitely need a modern 3rd person re1 remake, we DEFINITELY need a re0 remake, that would be awesome.

As someone who played RE4 as my first RE game, i couldnt dig the tank controls of the old games. I hope they reremake RE1 because i thought the RE2 remake was awesome.

I really loved what they came up with RE2&RE4 remakes ( I didnt like that much RE3 Remake tho) but as a fan of this saga, they should leave RE Remake alone. That was just perfecto in all means and it should remain that way. I mean, the music, the cam angel, the atmosphere, the plot...man! It was just like the Big Bang it happened at the right moment in right time-space.

My thoughts are they'll release RE9 first then go back to 1, CV then 5 for a better flow of the story.

Re1 doesnt need a remake. It already has the gold standard of remakes and its graphics and gameplay hold up to today

I highly doubt they will remake it once again, given the game still looks great even for today's standard. If we're talking about updating the gameplay, for RE2 I can see why they went for 3rd person but for RE1 it just wouldn't fit the tone of the game(for me at least).
Then again, I'm aware that the creators of RE originally visioned the game as a first person shooter. Who knows, maybe the fixed camera angle were never intended to be such a huge staple of the series.

I know i'm probs gonna get a lot of hate from hardcore RE fans but it they remake the first RE again. They should make requiring ink ribbons to save only for harder difficulties. Not on normal or easy.

Nevermind those new players. If they don’t want ti get a good experience with how the remake is then thats on them. Remake of 2 was ok but not great, and the remake of Nemesis was just terrible. They should never touch the remake of 1 or 0.
RE 5 and 6 were just bad. Keep the series more survival horror than action.

2002 RE1 Remake is NOT perfect. You never see Barry when you play as Chris, and never see Rebecca when you play as Jill. The endings only shows Rebecca or Barry surviving when you either play as Chris or Jill. It does not have a proper ending canon of both surviving. Another Remake for RE1 can expand and improve on that. Nothing is perfect in this world. Another Remake for RE1 will come when it's time. Don't be afraid for it, since the 2002 Remake will always be there to go back to.
