Just checked this thing out at Best Buy and compared it to all the other top volume phones. The video streaming quality of it blew the others out of the water, if you can get past the bulkiness of it. I've been a Samsung guy for years, and I hated my AMOLED screen after comparing it to this guy. For watching videos or movies, this thing wins for me hands down.
Chad because this phone has the sony Bravia lcd screen which I would choose over amoled any day I have the XA1 ultra and I'm saving up for this phone also.
I stream movies on it watch tv shows im on social media i also game on this and it lasts me about 1 full day i do plan on getting the XA2 ultra later at some point.
I have had this phone for about 2 weeks and It's great!!!!!! The battery cell is 3580 and it lasts so long! Truts me buy it. also it doesn't feel cheap at all! And if you do get it get it in silver!!!!
I dunno why all the reviews are saying it is a giant phone or a 'beast'. I just got this today and there is nothing surprising or WOW! about it thats so big. Before buying this phone i was using the Xperia XA1 Plus (5.5 inch display) so for me the ultra is a just slightly bigger not very much at all. I guess those that have used more smaller phones than 5.0 inches or less will find the ultra huge/massive. Also 9mm sides are not thick at all, just normal. I would have bought the XA1 ultra which is 2mm long than the XA2 ultra but the XA1 ultra is full of bugs. 221g - heavy phone?! After using the XA1 Plus, its the same weight.
In terms of the front camera, you'd be surprised how many people use the front camera when they try to take pictures of the us Capitol rotunda. Using the camera that way makes it very useful.
Thats what bezels really are good for. Basil is really showing that in this video. Can you do that holding and play a game of Fruit-ninja on a bezelless mobilephone? I cant se that done on Samsung, LG, Huawei and so one, bezelless phones.
Exactly, bezelless is just for looks, but horrible for functionality. Top bezels are great for landscape viewing while the sides are as thin as possible for portrait thumb usage, it makes perfect sense really

It's a shame that with those bezels as big as they are Sony couldn't manage stereo speakers. But people complaining about a plastic back?? Are you not gonna use a plastic phone case in the end anyway?

Aaron Glisson I always liked Sony phones but always thought the wasted top and bottom bezels could have been better used by putting a kick-ass stereo speaker system in there. From the way he spoke I thought the battery was about 4000 - 4500mah however maybe they just did a good job optimizing the phone,but 3500mah is pretty good.
@@1mezion the audio is pretty loud, really. You don't need to worry about the battery since Sony is one of the best when it comes to battery optimization, but u need to buy the Quick charger, they sold it separately. I'm pretty satisfied with this device, the display is better.
Dan- I love the design, just shrink the bezels and keep it just like it is. Sony's new xz2 looks like every other phone out there, rounded blobs-mediocre. Looking at you samsung an oneplus and essential etc etc etc-they ALL look soft and feminine. I'll take the Sony!
Claire the Loon That's wrong, bloatware is in Samsung's and other manufacturers smartphones (not all), but Sony has very little bloatware and is just their media apps and other things (dependant on device), you can disable them in apps>settings, and never knew bloatware was a deal breaker for Sony customers.
I have several sony phones this several past years, sony xperia z, z3, sony xperia sola, and C5. I guarantee you that sony phones have less bloatware than other manufactures. Fast, light UI for daily use, near to stock android in user experiance.
I recently bought GALAXY A8+ and that fucking thing wont get ROOT, BL UNLOCKED, and apart from these 2 drawbacks, it was loaded with FUCKLOADS of BLOATWARE.

Well u can buy the Nokia 7 plus that looks washed up display, and redmi note 5 pro which depreciate too fast. Sony is better than all when it comes to optimization (of course except to their camera 😅)
