  • I made a quick one year update to my hair transplant video. I got my hair transplant done at Feller & Bloxham Medical in New York City a year ago. I go over my results, any issues, and if I am happy or not that I got it done.

Thank you for the update and answering the questions. It made you look younger compared to the 8 years ago picture. The scar is definitely visible with the number two haircut, but if you grow your hair longer I don't think it will be as much visible. Also, the numbness in some spots is concerning. Overall great results I believe.

The numbness freaked me out at first. I'm ok with it now and it does seem to be getting better over time. I really doubt I'll be 100% like I was, but it makes sense. It was a lot of cutting and healing.

It looks great! I think a lack of symmetry in density makes it look even more natural. Many guys have little natural gaps in their hairline and both sides are not a mirror image. In contrast, many transplanted hairlines are designed too perfect and symmetrical and end up looking fake.

The hairline looks great. I had a FUT procedure done way back in 2012 and the transplanted hairs are still intact and just as good today. I'm currently in the process of schedule a touch-up procedure to add back some density since my natural hairs (behind the transplanted hairline) has receded in the last 10 years. One thing that I've been doing is brushing/combing in hair fibers into my hairline to give it the illusion of looking more dense.
Once I get the touch-up procedure my hairline will (hopefully) be back to the way it was a decade ago. Finasteride and Minoxidil have helped me maintain as much of my hair as possible.

If medical advances don't have a solution in a few years, I'm sure I'll get it filled in too. Totally passable as it, but it would be amazing to have it all dense like the front and center.

That is good to hear. Glad your HT has held all that time. Are you going for another FUT this time or FUE instead? Is the scar from 2012 visible? Do you have occasional numbness in the scalp? I have booked my first FUT procedure this November and I am still hesitant due to the invasive nature of the strip procedure.

@@mikes4286 I'm probably going to do FUE since I won't need many grafts - maybe 500 at most to get the hairline density back. I normal buzz my hair down to a #2 and you really can't see the scar unless you look closely. I don't have numbness, but even if I did, I wouldn't care. It's just the back of my head.

Dude it’s already perfect, don’t waste your money on a second hair transplant. Yours is the only natural-looking one I’ve ever seen. Better yet to love and accept yourself for who you are. We are not what we look like. Besides, you won’t be remembered for your surface, you’ll be remembered for the depth of love you bring to others. That’s the only thing that matters in life, probably. I know that’s easy for someone with a ton of hair to say-for now, at least 🤷‍♂️-but it’s still true
Anyway I’ll get down off my high horse. Obviously it’s your body and you can do what you want with it. But don’t bullshit yourself into thinking you are inadequate in the Department of Appearances. You already look like you’re in your 20s, just enjoy that and don’t worry about it lol

Thank you for the kind comment! It's easy to see your own flaws,so you think everyone see them too.
It has made a huge difference in my mental health. Dr. Bloxham did an excellent job, and I agree that he creates a great hairline. I might still get a follow-up procedure, but you're right, he did an outstanding job!
