- Disassembly ad Reassembly Epson XP-2100 XP-2200 and similar Epson XP printers. How to remove the Main Board, Power Supply, Pick-Up Roller, Print-Head, Main Motor, Encoder Strip, Waste Ink Pads, Scanner Unit, Paper Feed Roller, Ink Sensor, Main Motor, Paper Feed Roller, Scanner Unit.
You can use these instructions for several Epson inkjet printer models.

Note that the reassembly of the printer could be difficult so remove as few parts as possible.
If you need to remove the waste ink pads, the pick-up roller or the print-head you don’t need to disassembly the whole printer. Same if you want to remove the main board, it’s useless to remove the waste ink pads or disassembly all the scanner unit.

When i take printer apart i just keep the dc motors and the power supply.
Wow! Thank you for showing how to disassemble the epson printer. Like you said, when you pull the small upper cable out of the printing unit, it is difficult to reassemble. Unfortunately I've unplugged that cable and would like to see your trick to re-plug that cable! Can you give me some directions on how to do that?
(Yeah, after a holliday I accidentically disconnected one cable too much, in order to detatch the print-head for rigorous cleaning)
After the removal of the panels you should be able to insert the cable. It's possible to remove the cartridge holder, if I remember well there are two screws on the back
@@viandant5 Thanks for your advice! I've re-inserted the cable and after reassembling the printer it gives the 0xEA error. Well I'll figure that out later, but I can imagine the small cable functions to read the distance from position zero on the transparent band behind it. The band is clean, so maybe something with the cable connection. Good to know that I may be able to find screws in the back of the carriage, I will have a look if there are holes in the metal plate behind the carriage so I may find the screws, because it is otherwise hard to see anything on the back of it.
@@maanvin It could be a mechanical problem that block the movement of the cartridge carriage
@@maanvin I accidentally removed that small cable on the back of the carriage. Any tips on getting it back ? Should the blue side of the flat cable be towards the carriage or towards the metal plate ? I have the XP 315

Hello, this is a great demonstrating video. But I still have a problem when I reassemble it. How to properly install back the thinly metal stick which is located at the left side and need pass through a small hole to reach the photosensor.

Thank you for this excellent video. It helped me to take my printer apart and clean the feeder roller.
I have an XP 323. The roller feeder is working. The paper feeds into the printer a few centimeters, then jams. When I take the paper out of the printer the mark on the paper indicates that it is getting caught on the far right white lever. But there is nothing in the way. Do you have any idea what the problem may be?
Does the white lever move or is it blocked? Tht lever is a paper sensor if I understood well
@@viandant5 Thank you for replying Viandant. It is on a spring, it moves without you having to exert too much pressure and is not blocked.
It's a paper sensor, it senses the presence of the sheet. It's connected to the main board, may be the connector is detached or the main board is defective
Salve scusi il disturbo. Ho visto i suoi video. Abbiamo un problema con la stampante, abbiamo ricaricato i colori e fatto pulizia testine e tutto, (non usiamo inchiostri originali) Abbiamo una Epson Stylus Office BX305F. Spesso quando non va noi tiriamo fuori e rimettiamo le cartucce. Dopo alcuni tentativi ce li riconosce però ci stampa alcuni colori sì e altri no. Ora non ci riconosce il nero e non parte la stampa. Grazie in anticipo
Le cartucce inchiostro hanno un chip. Se non si resetta o si cambia il chip si ha un segnale di errore. Suppongo il problema sia quello

E' molto simile. le istruzioni possono essere usate anche su quel modello

Hi how can I fix epson xp2101. The cartridge got stuck and it can't be moved. I keep on turning it on/off but i think something is stuck. Please help
Try to move the white gear on the left of the cartridge carriage. After that you should be able to move the cartridge carriage by hand
Hello! Thankyou for noticing me. It was a big help. But now, the ink and paper indicator keeps on blinking. The printer can't detect the ink.
@@chuckzdiogenes5290 It's difficult to say. It could be a paper jam, a foreign object inside the printer, the cartridges not correctly seated

No, non lo è. Se uno non ha un po di esperienza il rimontaggio potrebbe essere un grosso problema
