Nater Tater, Love your passion for trying to inform the rest of us about the Toolcat. Can you comment on the 5600 versus the 5610? I've looked at the 5610 for some time because of the ass end 3 point hitch and the ability to carry two bins of apples or hay rounds. I've never seen such an up close and personal video of this tool. Impressive!
Check out the rest of my toolcat videos: All Things Bobcat Toolcat! Awesome Machine: ruclips.net/p/PL8d9FovK2dNT1P2xH4pZ_NBi1n8yMM_MJ you can add a 3 point to the back of a 5600 and get the best of both.

nate- how does the toolcat handle the 1400#?? looks like it is ok, but the rear end seems light. that seems close to the toolcat's limit.
3000lbs is the hydraulic limit. 1500lbs is the ROC. I don't use any counter weights for this cutter. ruclips.net/video/KQN6aA6EdTY/видео.html

nate- i have a toolcat and am considering an open front cutter. they advise having a shatterproof cab with an open front cutter. you clearly are comfortable without. have you had anything thwon back at you that hard? should i be concerned? or is this dealership CYA?
Seems like nonsense to me. Dont be stupid with it and nothing will come back. Meaning dont raise it up and point it down where you can see the flywheel/blades. I havent had a problem, could something bounce off a tree...yea i suppose. I also recommend a shatterproof cab and wire mesh as I don't want to be responsible for any potential injury. 🙂

thanks, nate. that’s about what i expected. appreciate!@@NaterTater
You can see some other videos of mine of it cutting brush/trees to gauge the danger. ruclips.net/video/2tEsjc50zac/видео.html ruclips.net/video/33wolpJcX_I/видео.html
I made the arms for the wheels (std brush hog wheels, purchased here: amzn.to/3khy5vF) so I can float the boom for easier mowing, I can pop them off with 4 bolts if I want to get into heavier stuff. I used 2x3x3/16 rectangular and 1.5x0.25 DOM round tubing.
Yes you can do that too. Easiest is a hydraulic valve that reverses flow. Flipping the blades is less ideal due to the single bolt per blade being critical for safety and the blade angle is best to cause the vertical cutting force to be downward. Flipping blades would cause the cutting to create an upward vector.

Enjoyed the video, thank you
You're welcome!
Where did you get the bush hog arms and wheels from?
I made the arms for the wheels (std brush hog wheels, purchased here: amzn.to/3khy5vF) so I can float the boom for easier mowing, I can pop them off with 4 bolts if I want to get into heavier stuff. I used 2x3x3/16 rectangular and 1.5x0.25 DOM round tubing.
Instead of messing with the hydraulics, couldn’t you just flip over the blades?

Flipping the blades is less ideal due to the single bolt per blade being critical for safety and the blade angle is best to cause the vertical cutting force to be downward. @@NaterTater can you just turn the H valve around still keeping it one way but in the opposite direction?
