    Hello, watching a great video from 5 years ago🎉🎉🎉.

    Great advice for starting out, you go buying a 100k rig, better be running it 14 hours a day. I wouldn’t mind getting into this when I retire, in a few years. Spend $30-35k on a used skid steer with a cutter like you have. I could afford to do it 10 or 12 days a month. Do it cause you like it, not because you gotta!

    Very interesting again, just a quick question, how much does a new set of blades cost and how long do you anticipate them lasting, thank you 🇮🇪😎🚴‍♀️😎🏊‍♂️🦅

      I'm getting about 100 hours out of each side of the blades, (the rotation is reversible so I can use both sides of the blades) and I think 3 new blades with bolts is like $275 or so.

    Interesting to see underneath camera angles about mid video of how cutting blades work.

    Awesome video and nice work what kind of price per hour u charging for that rig ?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! Depends on what I am cutting, size and density. The bigger the material usually means I am charging more per hour. It can range from $100-175 per hour. But that price is for my market, it may be different in other areas.

    Do you think the teeth on the bottom are worth the extra money.. just ordered one without the teeth.. but I can change my order if I want do to the delay time we are having

      Yeah if you are doing more heavy brush and trees they really help out with grinding stuff up but if you are doing more grass and weeds then they don't really do much

    What do you think about the new piston drive?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  3 года назад

      The piston drive on this thing is awesome, much better in my opinion than a direct drive motor. Alot quieter too.

    How many acres per day did you average clearing on this job? Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  5 лет назад +1

      About 1/2 acre per day due to the size and density of the trees I was cutting.

    Do you run a forestry lexan door?

    • @idigit4967
      @idigit4967  4 года назад +2

      Yes I do! I got a 1/2" lexan forestry door from skidsteersoultions.com. Its a great door, it came pre-drilled, all I had to do was mount the existing hardware off the old door and it was about 1k cheaper than the 1/4" lexan door that John Deere sold. If you need one check them out.

    Don’t think you want to bother with MTL. But don’t take my word for it. You call their number for yourself. They took my money up front then canceled my order 6 weeks later. Now trying to get them to refund the money for the extra parts I ordered to have on hand. They did finally refund the amount of the original purchase. I’m thinking they did me a huge favor by canceling the order. What if I needed service after the sale?
