Yes the ideal material for the bite is an addition silicone. However, you could also use bite registration wax(example Aluwax)

We can place the material /wax on the tooth opposite to the prepared tooth right?

Hi. Generally , I place the wax or material on the teeth being prepped. With A silicone , its in fact easier to place it on the lower arch to counter the gravitational force that tends to pull the material down. So it really depends on the situation

IT is a bite registration wax ..Impregnated with aluminium particles.
