    • @AHMEDSAVANI
      @AHMEDSAVANI 7 лет назад

      Still, you(we) don't why there is hyperlipidemia. what we know so far is that due to hypoalbuminemia, liver compensates that by producing more albumin and along with that cholesterol is unwantedly formed leading to hyperlipidemia. If you know WHY then pls shed the light on that!

    Nice overview! The only thing I missed is the prothrombotic state in patients with nephrotic syndrome

    • @Al-mm2zc
      @Al-mm2zc 8 лет назад +4

      Martijn R think it may be due to overproduction of clotting factors by the liver

    • @martijn_ro
      @martijn_ro 8 лет назад +2

      Al I thought actually, that the urinary loss of antithrombotic factors is more significant than the increased production of pro-thrombotic factors but I suppose they both play a role.

    • @eyonahray933
      @eyonahray933 6 лет назад

      Its mainly due to the loss of antithrombin thru kidney defected filtration system and also due to the hyperlipdemia formation in response to loss of proteins....increase viscosity of blood due to loss of fluid and loss of low mol weight complement factors
