Finally a nice harmony singer. Such a great performance and recorded video. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Your ears are my favorite. And Ron is my hearts song
Many of his live performances are superior to the original recordings. Recommend Ron with Songwriters Circle and a version of this song he performed with Elvis.
I didn't think anything much about the Costello original version, but I am sure glad to have come across this cover as it is far better than the original which is unintelligible lyrically, even though I was a huge fan of Elvis Costello. Great cover, Ron.
You know, .. "Even in a perfect world, where everyone is equal, I'd still own the film rights and be workin' on the sequel"... lots of stuff could be said about that today. I reference my own relationship with a woman of color (I'm white) who did not benefit as much as she deserved...Elvis was prescient in the 1970s.
Love Ron's rendition of this great song , the backing instruments and harmonies are beautiful , great skill , thanks for posting .👍
Perfect
What an absolutely brilliant song!!!
Incredible version; absolutely love it
Elvis himself was just off camera watching, we knew it better be good! Ron interprets the song so soulfully.
Marvelous.
Your voice tugs at my spirit, awakening it.
Sexsmiths voice melted my heart the first time i heard him sing this

That's great! I remember Elvis Costello himself was watching off-camera and would join him for a duet later in the show.

Yep, Ron really brings the lyrics out and shows what an amazing song Elvis wrote. Win win!
