- This young man received a car as a gift from his grandparents as thanks for everything he did for them. When he removed his blindfold and was handed the keys, he was in disbelief. He gratefully hugged them and took a few pictures next to his new ride.

I bought all my cars with my own hard earned money, I never received free gifts from anyone. I don't even celebrate Christmas cause it's a Pagan Holiday. Everything I own I earned it, I didn't get sponsored by Mommy and Daddy.

This is the right person to receive such a gift. Too many irresponsible & immature kids are gifted a brand new car & have ZERO gratitude. They wreak it & demand another car after being reckless.

My son was attending a high school and there were quite a few kids there that were driving fancy sports cars and trucks ! Not having a lot of money at the time i bought him a 97 ford ranger , 4 banger , 5 speed manual , it did have a lift kit on it and it looked really good ! The look on his face when i gave it him was priceless ! He absolutely loved that truck ! He was very proud of it ! Made me feel great too !

That’s so awesome. I gave both of my grandchildren a vehicle when they turned 16 and I’m grateful I could do that. What better way to spend your money while you’re living. I could have gone to Hawaii and made great memories but the memories of seeing the looks on the faces of your grandchildren are priceless

My grandson said to me "Is that it? I wanted a Miata". Ungrateful little shit. It's refreshing to see that some youth have some sense of gratitude.
My Dad was an executive for a major chemical company and earned a rather nice salary. He tended to splurge on his seven kids, but Mom put her foot down when he wanted to buy my oldest sister a new car when she turned 16. So he bought her a very clean used Pontiac Grand Prix. She turns 65 this year and _still_ talks about that car. Dad gave his Trans Am to my oldest brother for his 16th birthday and my next brother got his dream car, a Datsun 240Z, and it was about 5-6 years old. I was the only kid to get a new car, but I paid for part of it with the money that I earned as a child model when I was little. Mom and Dad wanted me to save it for college, but what 16 year old kid is gonna turn down the chance for a new car? A 1983 Toyota Celica GTS....and I drove it till the wheels fell off.
Point is... none of my parents' kids ever took anything for granted. Some of our friends gave us gruff because we didn't "work for it", but if you think keeping up a 3.5 GPA to keep your car _isn't_ work, think again. I missed many a night out with my friends because I was hitting the books to keep my grades up. And there was the whole "Dad giveth... and taketh away." Timmy lost his Trans Am for the whole summer when Dad caught him smoking in the basement. Totally killed the social life of the most popular boy at school! And of course, my siblings, who still contend that I got "special treatment" always point out the time I got pulled over by the Port Authority police for doing 88 mph on the Verrazano bridge, trying to get back home to PA for curfew. Dad let me off with just a stern warning! Though I had to pay the ferociously expensive ticket...!

That’s appreciation right there. I was expecting a 2 door sports car…not a car that’s been in the family…but he looked at it like the best car in the world. My first car…which was a shitbox but I paid for in full…I still miss to this day. If I could have traded it off at some point rather than wrecking it, I would still be looking for it to this day. Good people all around in this video.
