Good review. I got this bike couple of days back. Planning to start cycling after 27 years. So a first time MTB and Gear cycle rider. My butt was paining after a 7 km ride... Is this normal? The seat is a bit hard and narrow. Do ppl change seats or use wider seats? Should i try for couple of months and then decide? What are your thoughts on this?
Yes get a comfortable saddle or kee taking rest after few kilometres of you don't want to change , Most people change the saddle though , but when going to servicing keep the original saddle or else they'll say the warranty is not valid
Yes handlebar is narrow to my liking. I want to upgrade to wider bar. I looked at few options but then again didnt want to rush into this. There are viable options ill jump on it after few more miles may be.

Great Video mate. Im thinking to buy this but I also want to upgrade it. I want to know how customizable is it? Can I change the tyres to tubeless or just upgrade them
Not very sure if its tubeless ready. Decathlon sell different tyres along with this bicycle in different batches. Do check with them when you buy your piece if theyre tubeless ready. If not then you can always swap the wheel assembly altogether.
Gears work fine, derailleur is doing its job good too. However the thumb shifter aren't premium, yes you feel it when you try higher priced cycles and come back to this bicycle. But there is no issue with the way cycle rides.

So I have checked st100... But size was not available there...just want to know the posture while riding is like Mybike... Please confirm if you know anything.... Please
I dont know much about mybike. St100 has decent amount of slant in riding posture. Id recommend you to take 1 size higher than recommended cycle size from decathlon size chart if you want a bit more bent riding posture. Higher the size more forward the bars are from your seating position. However if you like bent riding style check some road bikes like triban.
@@SilentShifter actually not that bend... I mean..normal bending... Why I am saying bend... Coz riding on riverside 120 is like cruiser bike riding... So asking you... A bit slanting posture..not much..coz I have back problem also..
@@vikasnarula17 Basic slant posture is already present with ST-100. I noticed it in my first week of riding with this bike, I did feel that I have to bend a bit however it didn't trouble me much as I got used to it. The quality of the tyres and tubes isn’t good. Thats why punctures are easy occurrences. Even with a small thorn you can expect puncture. If you generally ride in bad forest type areas dont pick this up. If you ride in normal roads then this is okay. However you can always convert tyres to tubeless or get some high quality tyres altogether

1st of all, good job on covering all major points on this cycle. Thanks for such a detailed video. Can you confirm what size cycle are you riding? I tried the L size but I think I should go for the XL size. I didn't really get the logic of decathlon measuring sizes based on people's heights. Can you suggest?
I got size S because it was the only size available at that time. but M is good option for me. However S was good enough. So the main difference between different sizes is minimal increase in weight of bike and distance between seat and handle bar. If your hands arent long enough then you need to bend forward during the ride which is a bit irritating or you need to get aftermarket stems to increase the height of handle bar for linear riding posture. The seat pole is long enough so you wont have inseam length problems between L and XL Check how much bend is present when you ride XL if its too much then go back to L otherwise XL is always better. Also if youre a bit on the heavier side then prefer XL as its lightly heavier than L.

The seat pole is long enough so you wont have inseam length problems between L and XL
Check how much bend is present when you ride XL if its too much then go back to L otherwise XL is always better. Also if youre a bit on the heavier side then prefer XL as its lightly heavier than L.
