  • I just made this video to share how much I love this bike and how unexpected it was from all the previous things I heard from other reviews. I hope this helps in your decision in buying it (which you definitely should).

    This bike is phenomenal. I just collected mine, cycled along the towpath, through the city centre (Manchester), never came out of level 1 and it rides quite well with no power at all. Absolute bargain, I paid £799. Thanks so much for your review, it helped me decide. ( I'm 60 next month and recovering from major surgery and female, not that that should make any difference).

    Hi Max. Thank you so much for this very informative video, I really enjoyed it. I'm definitely leaning more towards this e-bike.
    Just one question: Which type of pedal assist is it?
    Is it the one where you pedal once and it pushes you to a certain speed, or is it a gradual assistance?

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  3 года назад +4

      It is a gradual assistance so if you stop pedalling it will stop after a sec or so. But it is very powerful so on the 3rd level assistance you can get to 15.5mph fairly easily. Its definitely worth the money expecially for the price range I haven't found any like it! Thank you for your kind words :)

    I have the Male version and what i love the most is the bike works with you and not for you, i didnt want to lose that exercise element, what ive notice a lot of people want to pedal a little then want their bike to carry them. I think thst defeats the purpose of a bicycle you might as well buy a motor bike 🤷🏾‍♂️ the bicycle does the job for me so far so good

    Hi Max. Thank you for the great video. Been hoping someone would upload an in-depth review of the EST-100 in English and your comments on the bike are really helpful.
    Can I ask what size frame you went for?
    I'm 5'7 and using Decathlon's size index they recommend buying a medium. However I've read several comments which say the frames are generally oversized. Any advice on this would be hugely appreciated.

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  3 года назад

      Hey mate, I got a large and being 6 foot it fits me well. I actually wished it was slightly larger, so being 5 7' I'd say the medium will fit you well. I have friends who ride my bike around 5 8' and they think the bike I ride is too big for them, so I'd say medium will be safe for you!

      Okay so the menu options on the display come when you hold the + and - together and also the off and +/-. They all give different options. Also the battery has a lever to it so open the lever and pull it so it doesn't block the battery getting in and then when the battery is in the lever should push in like you feel it getting into the indent on the battery and then close. I hope that helps

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  3 года назад +1

      I would say 120kg is almost the limit but I do carry heavy loads quite often, being 70kg with a 30kg load means the bike easily carries 100kg. The spokes and wheels havent given up on me yet so in my opinion it will be fine! (Just make sure you pump up the tires around/ above 2.2 bar)

    Hello, great video and review. I’m looking at buying one of these. My question would be once it’s assisted you to 25kph is it easy to go beyond 25kph or does it restrict your speed? I’ve only ever ridden an electric Lime bike in London and it doesn’t really let you go above 25kph once you get to that speed.

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Olly cheers for the nice words. If you're going downhill it's easy, if you're on a flat it's not hard and doesn't feel like its restricting you. I have a regular mountain bike and the amount of energy it takes to go faster than 25km/h is the same so it's not reducing any power you put in. I hope that helps

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  Год назад +1

      That's a good point, I hadn't thought of the damage it'd cause. If you are wanting to and the weather isn't bad then there wouldn't be any harm. For me, I have had it a while and never take the battery off even when parked outside shops e.t..c but that's all up to how safe you think it is. As long as it's not raining then taking the battery off won't do any harm

    The most important part is the climbing ability cause this bike has only a cadence sensor instead of the torque sensor the E-ST 500 has. Did you try to climb 15 % on the street or 10 % in rough terrain?

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  3 года назад

      Yes I have climbed Hills around 20-25% incline with ease. What I've found is that the cadence sensor makes it easier because if you are in a low gear whilst going up hill, the sensor will see you moving the pedals and apply force. So most of the time I can feel that I am not actually applying ANY pressure whatsoever!

    • @macpaul1391
      @macpaul1391 3 года назад

      @@millian4501 If you have seen the degree of inclination? I never tried a e bike before and right now, only the Es-t100 can be ordered, not the E-st 500. That's why I am asking cause I have 15 % on the street and ca. 10 % on rough terrain, i.e. rough gravel to climb.

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  3 года назад

      @@macpaul1391 I live by the sea side and travel up hill daily. I can guarantee you that you will be able to climb 15% with ease. On the bike if you turn the assist to level 3 it will work very well! Everyone who's stepped foot on my bike has laughed at how powerful it is. So you will be pleasantly surprised climbing hills easily.

    • @millian4501
      @millian4501  3 года назад +1

      Hey man, I should have clarified so thanks for the comment! On full level 3 it's about 25-30 miles. But if you get used to the bike, then on flats you turn it down to 1/0 and then hills on 3 you can get around 50-60 miles. Definitely doable. I go on a 25 mile journey each way and return with 1 bar left. From what I have heard is the est500 is really good! Alot more torque,so if you have the extra money I'd go for the est500 but if the 100 is in your price range then definitely go for that! I hope this helps :)
