I don't think a consulting group is what killed this game it's just the concept, execution, and how they handled the league is why this game failed in my opinion. Don't get it twisted there reputation didn't help and I hope this is a wake up call but I have my doubts?

It was funny because that was actual review-bombing, but nobody reported it as such because all journalists are corrupt.
Meanwhile the Helldivers deal was just users leaving reviews that it was bad that their access to the game were being removed after they bought the game.

SS was the spark that got people to realize how toxic companies like SB is and how deep the rot of their ideology goes in the industry. Also SP2 and GoWR are significantly worse than their previous titles, something many pointed out even without the knowledge. As time goes on, the criticisms will only grow worse.

Outside of the buycott that was Hogwarts Legacy, the game itself was pretty mid.
I think Hogwarts Legacy was the tipping point in the gamers' favor for the culture war. It still had its wokeness, *lots* of skin-color diversity in an 1800s Britain, the "witch" with the exceedingly deep voice (that was digitally altered, which made it far more frustrating), etc. Learning the Curses was also a really weird point in the game, because *literally nobody* reacts to a 15yo kid running around casting Avada Kadevra against random people. But it made an entire side of people whinge and moan because "JK womb-haver bad."
I will give them points for trying, but the game was exceedingly mid. I don't regret buying it, though. I had fun.

Warner Bros. were under the mistaken impression the success of 'Grand Theft Auto' can be replicated with IP they owned. It would probably help if the game devs and Sweet Baby Inc. didn't CANNIBALIZE all other DC Comics IPs to feed the 'Suicide Squad' one.
The board of directors could appoint their janitor as the CEO, and he would do better.

This game was gonna bomb as people hated the Live Service idea to begin with. SBI only made the situation worst by taking it to Bud Light levels of bad.

The way they made females the only ones who could look good at any point, and all the males are just dumb misogynists. The way they blatantly disrespect beloved characters for no good reason is weird. The fact Lex Luther of all people fanboy about wonderwoman curing “toxic masculinity” is also out of character. Harley Quinn is completely out of character from every appearance she’s made in the other Arkham games. Race swaps and other dumb story decisions are only a small part of the complaints of the game.

The main thing is that they are not going to learn any lessons here -- they always talk about the losses, but never WHY the losses occurred. They just said that Suicide Squad performed really badly compared to Hogwarts Legacy, but they will still try to shoehorn in live-services in the sequel of HL.
Only natural. The math says if you ask people to pay 50 bucks a month, you earn more than if you ask for 50 bucks once.
The issue of course is that people have limited money, so that means it is either their live service getting 50 bucks, or someone else offering a better deal, like an entire game for 50 bucks.

What makes me not touch it is live service and battle pass. Before ANYTHING else that was involved. Maybe would've gotten it on a sale for 30$ if it was a borderlands like justice league with drops. Nobody was hoping for a live service game. Nobody was hoping for a duicide squad game. Nobody was hoping for a game attempting to implement poor copies of elements from Fortnite and Borderlands.
They could rewrite the game from scratch and remove the ridiculous writing. Nobody would want to play it still.

Considering Redfall got shit canned a year after release, this will 110% be cancelled by Feb next year.
Imagine the level of stupidity to force a developer, famous for making single player games and reinventing the super hero game, into making a Fortnite clone multiplayer looter shooter...and expecting the same level of success.

Nothing, which is the exact amount of sympathy shown towards WB, which is equivalent to the amount of care they've placed into their product by inviting in the rot.

Sweet Baby being involved crippled the game, Rocksteady setting it in the Arkhamverse made sure that it would remain six feet under.

And they'll learn nothing, blame fans and trolls, and do it again by they STILL want to push forward with live services. Another example of these Corporations being run by complete idiots because The worst part about events like this is that WB will learn nothing. They won't scrutinize *why* it failed. Just *that* it failed. And Rocksteady will suffer for it.

Absolute train wreck. It started with a bug that showed end game and then first thing we saw was Harkey blowing away batman voiced by Kevin Konroy and it jmkept going down hill from there
The lesson they must learn is they cannot try DEI a little bit, they must never invest in it at all as the prospect is far worse than underperforming but a catastrophic loss that can wipe out a parallel success.
