    I have 2 teams I chear for in thr NFL. One team is the NYJ which is the single reason for me getting to know what football is through King of Queens around 2005ish (Im from germany). Its nice to have another team to also follow closely for situations like this and its the team that I saw my very first NFL game from. Unfortunately .... its the carolina panthers ....

      I'm in the same boat. Am thinking of going to support the Lions as their owner is a steward of their city and works for the fans. Great environment, great hires in GM and HC. Bang on picks from the drafts and FA. Now they are starting to dominate and the next 10 years looks bright.

    Don't pay for a service that you're not receiving. Woody's only concerned about lining his pocket, not the fans' feelings.

    Long time Jets fan here. Woody Johnson is not a good owner. At some point ownership has to take responsibility for putting out a bad product year after year, rebuild after rebuild. Woody should sell the Jets to a real football person. I think Gary Vaynerchuk would be a great owner.

  • @jimglatthaar4053

    Excellent point analogizing to Dan Rooney & Wellington Mara, two owners who knew football, and their ability to make sage football decisions.
    Funny, I was thinking about writing an open letter to Woody Johnson and submitting it to the NY Times. It is not difficult to build a case that Woody Johnson has betrayed Jets fans. In the meantime, maybe all Jets fans should find some passive-aggressive way of boycotting the Jets ownership.
    When Bill Parcells left the Jets, it was rumored that he went through an ownership change in New England and did not wish to go through it again. This is yet another reason why Bill Parcells is a football genius.

  • @tylerbair8144
    @tylerbair8144 24 дня назад +3

    Cleveland "fired" their owner by forcing the team to move to Baltimore and become the Ravens. But then Cleveland missed having a football team and was granted an expansion team in the new Browns. Haslam just bought the team again.
    If you want a better owner, you have to choose a different team. Or dig up some dirt that threatens the Shield and the other billionaires will oust him for you, Snyder style.
    I think the best hope for Jets fans is for the Vikings to win a Superbowl. Vikings ownership does not make football decisions unless they MUST remove the front office regime. The Vikings GM is a finance guy, he did Wallstreet before football. If the Vikings can win their first superbowl with hands off owners and a GM who wasn't a talent scout or a player, I think a lot of bad owners will copy the template. The Jets would be a prime organization for that kind of change, to contrast against the Giants and the Maras.
    Shame it will never happen.

    Been saying this since Gase. No one wanted to hear it. If a team has a half in owner that also wants to make decisions they have nothing. Woody is a trash owner and now that Commanders have new ownershipmis probably the leagues worst.

  • @whatareuthinking1
    @whatareuthinking1 24 дня назад +4

    Why would he sell the team? His goal isn’t to win his goal is to make money and if you own an NFL team, you’re making lots of money just because he’s not running things the way you want him to or you don’t like his product doesn’t mean he’s going to sell the team just like any other business you may not like their price on furniture so you don’t shop there

      So people need to stop shopping there. Stay home. Dont buy merch. You really wanna pay all the money for a ticket and parking, and depending where you are coming from accommodations to watch this team? And have. 90% chance of leaving pissed off. Stop giving him money and he will sell. He is literally the worst owner in north american sports.

    I am 38 and a fan since diapers, but i canmt anymore. I will be boycotting spending money on the Jets. BUT i really loved your last few minutes. I’ll never get the Jets out of my blood, but i can’t continue to let this team have a negative impact on my happiness. Woody won’t get another dollar from me, but I’m gonna keep listening in to locked on jets, you are almost always on the same page as me but about a paragraph ahead and i enjoy it. This season is done, but you (unlike some people) put out a great product that I enjoy and that you should be proud of. Best jets podcast on the planet.

    The league should sit Woody down and tell him because he hasn't had a competitive team in over a decade the Jets are out of the NFL unless he sells the team. The Jets are damaging the NFL brand. Or maybe the other teams like getting a second bye week playing the Jets

    He wont because hes made too much $$ grifting off of this fanbase. Daniel Snyder said he would never sell the Commanders until he was forced out which is what needs to happen with Woody. Stop buying tix or merchandise. Buy your merch from black market so that bastard doesnt make a dime. He needs to be embarrassed seeing half empty Metlife. Thats when it will stop IMO.

    Holy cow! A youtube streamer speaking my language. In order to get Woody to sell the team, Mr Butchko, sustained financial pressure in the form of a boycott is in order. A long, sustained boycott: no game tickets, no merchandise, and not even those crappy looking $1.99 grocery bags! An added bonus: Woody is a long time personal friend and supporter of Trump. The less money going into Woody's pocket might mean less money going to Trump. So boycotting might also help prevent the growth of fascism in our nation. We also need a massive appeal to the NFL to NOT give the Jets any more prime time TV slots.

    • @nellgwenn
      @nellgwenn 22 дня назад

      Well Trump has all those bankruptcies, fraud businesses, scams, gimmicks, $100,000.00 made in China "Swiss made watches" and so on. Birds of a feather.
      Any game you go to or watch on TV, or chachkies you buy co-signs and enables his behavior. Quit talking about them publicly. People like that love attention, even the negative kind.
      As a last resort you at least can stop watching the game as it airs. Go on RUclips and watch one of those reactors watching the game so you don't have to. Someone like Tom Grossi. It is like listening to the game on the radio. The advantage being the sponsors lose out on the revenue that would otherwise get from you watching the game.
      Aside from Goodell putting pressure on the owner, the only other entity that is able to readjust the thinking of someone like the Jets owner are the sponsors. It works.
      If you must watch the game, and you are superstitious do all the things you would avoid in order to insure a win. Do them to insure a loss. It won't work, but it will give you a sense of fleeting satisfaction. The more the Jets lose the better your chances of the owner's wanton waste of your good nature, and loyalty, and money ends.
      Also the Jets will lose against the Texans, and they will lose again. It will be so much worse as the playoffs get nearer and nearer.

    I been saying for YEARS that Woody J needs to sell this team or at the very least, relocate it, into its OWN personal Home Stadium all their own. Leon Hess's agreeing to move into what was called them, "GIANTS" Stadium( for over 25+ years), have the entire Jet organization a major psychological blow to their ego and psyche. They were in essence, a second class citizen or the proverbial "red headed step child". THIS IS A FACT and was very damaging.
    If you look right now on Yahoo sports, click on the Upcoming Jet/Texans game. Since it is a Jet "home" game, the picture put up by Yahoo is a stock photo of Met Life Stadium, BUT BUT, the picture used has "GIANTS" emblazoned in each end zone. Even Yahoo doesn't take the effort of having a "stock" photo of Met Life with the JETS emblazoned ( properly) in the end zones.
    ITS LIKE SUBCONCIOUSLY THE NEW YORK JETS DO NOT EXIST AT ALL!!!!!
    WOODY: Please sell or relocate. Thank you.
