I am a Manchester United and Philadelphia Eagles fan from South Jersey. The most hated fanbases in their leagues but yet we will still take over stadiums and football grounds around the NFL, in the Premier League, and on pre-season tours. Manchester and Philadelphia are out shadowed by both London and New York.
I'm a Green Bay Packers and Chelsea fan. The only reason I ended up becoming a Packers fan was when a friend of mine visited the States about 10 years ago and I gave him the challenge of finding me any random NFL team's jersey(he has zero handegg knowledge so it wasn't like he had a motive behind the jersey he picked). So I ended up getting the famous green jersey, and the rest is history. Quite a fun team to watch.
I would say the Eagles are more like Leicester City (I know they're not in the Prem at the moment, but they just got promoted for next season). They both have massive up and down swings and the fan bases are exceptionally loyal to both teams, though Leicester fans are a bit more tame than Eagles fans admittedly.

Aston Villa: Lions because they both finally got back to there former glory in the early to mid 1900's. Bournemouth: Falcons because they haven't done anything until in the 21st century where they finally looked decent but suffered one of the most humiliating in the 21st century of their respective sports ( Bournemouth 9 - 0 lost to Liverpool and Falcons 28 - 3) but they have some hope for the future with new moves that could make them a solid team for the next few years with a few hiccups in terms of signings like Tyler Adams signing for Bournemouth then getting injured and the Falcons drafting a qb even though they have Kirk Cousins. Brentford: The Bucs because they finally became good and a solid team in the past 1 - 2 decades. Brighton: The Texans because they became good out of nowhere after a bad season. Burnley: Jets because everyone thought they would be good in the 23 24 season and yeah...... not really. Chelsea: Colts because everyone thought they would a decent - good team but no they were mid at best and peaked in the 2000's and early to mid 2010's and since then haven't been the same. I’m a Packers and Arsenal fan that thought they worked well too. Both teams play attractive styles and had a lot of top 4 finishes, but not a lot of trophies recently
My NFL team has always been the Chicago Bears as they won the superbowl with William "the refrigerator " Perry staring in 1985 and as Everton were the champs over here then, they are my teams obviously!
Plus, itr's obvs that the Packers are the RS. Shanks and Lombardi both went to places where nothing good ever happened and changed their paths forever. Right at the same time in both places.

Steelers and Tottenham Hotspur fan. Certainly a big difference from my NFL team having three head coaches in 55 years to my Premier League club having 7 managers (counting acting) in just the 2020s.
Seahawks and Arsenal fan here. Only comparison would be that Mike McDonald is the hotshot new coach much like Arteta was a few years ago. John Schneider has been GM for over 12 years and worked really well with Carroll, much like the working relationship of Edu and Arteta.
As a Liverpool and Miami fan for over 30 years of both, i would have to say they are more alike because until the 19/20 season neither had won a title for decades lol
This may not apply moving forward, but I feel like Liverpool and Seattle have been identical over the past decade. Pete Carroll has been the disruptive equivalent of Jürgen Klopp, where the Legion of Boom was the NFL version of Klopp’s heavy metal football. And coincidentally, both are leaving their teams after this past season. Both teams have demonstrated peak performance and will leave huge legacies, but ultimately will be overshadowed by dynasties that collected more trophies during that time.
Commanders and Brighton & Hove Albion supporter. I found the connection between the two despite Josh Harris owning our major rival in that we both had terrible ownership and faced so much pain
As an arsenal fan from Houston it was very nice to hear the Texans be the team to support. Crazy how similar they are for real. Love my teams to death tho. Shout out the rockets too
Very apt comparison to Man City and LA Rams. Though Rams have splash signings; most of their team has been built from the draft. They've had double digit draft picks since 2017(?)
Totally agree about Man United and the Patriots. I despise both of them with everything in me. My NFL team is the Raiders, from birth... and my Prem club? Toon Army all the way. Might not be as similar now since the Raiders changed cities, but back when I discovered the Prem (1998), both teams were still considered very working class toughs. So it makes sense for me.
Maybe you could do another list after the promotion/relegation battle but make it for the 12 NFL teams you didn't mention looking for a premier league team to root for?
Everton for JETS i was already a fan of the Jets. that was spot on!. seriosly the 2nd team to Win Top flight league of English Football and the 2nd team to win a super bowl. Both teams with a drought of Silverware its got to happen eventually.
Interesting choice regarding Chelsea and cowboys….but I must admit, I have never met a Dallas cowboy fan who isn’t a massive Manchester United fan and vice versa. It’s all about living in the past and considering “this year is our year.” But I do appreciate a different perspective with different points. Btw I disdain both teams 😂
Just saw the connection of Man U with the patriots. I think it’s a strong point, but I do think the teams should be reversed but wow I had not considered those points and definitely almost convinced me. Well done overall video
I've been trying to figure out what PL team to support for a long time. Nottingham Forest it is! Great comparison with the Chicago Bears: deep, rich history, recent struggles, massive hope for the future.
My Friend is a Chelsea & Cowboys Supporter! I'm a Chelsea & Eagles Supporter. Sometimes I do tell Eagles Supporters to cheer for West Ham because of the Intimidating Supporters or Crystal Palace since I got away with teaching Palace Supporters "Fly Eagles Fly" while at a Match 😂. The interesting thing is that some in Philly have taken an interest in Wrexham too.
Fantastic video. As a chiefs fan, I NEED to see part two to see who we’re compared to. I would’ve said man city, but I’d also draw similarities with arsenal as they both have history and both have gotten hot recently.
I am a Packers/Tottenham fan. I followed Redknapp from Pompey (remember them?) to Tottenham, been a Packer fan all my life. BTW Spurs and the Bills is a pretty good comp
As a Chelsea fan from Philadelphia. Cowboys haven’t won anything since the days of VCR tapes. Chelsea team could be the Patriots. Had a good 2000s and 2010s and are currently rebuilding with a new coach with a rich owner.
United could also be the Steelers because of both having a rich history of winning the fanbases being everywhere and the legendary coaches and managers they had
I've been a Brentford fan for years and years. I've also been a Vikings fan for years and years. 1) No way in hell am I going to be a Giants fan. 2) I put myself through misery each year with this combination.
Arsenal -> Bears makes so much more sense imo. Fans of these teams have both been wanting major success for decades and both are holding on to the historic runs in the past to get them through a championship drought. Also, in terms of looking like they are headed for future success, both teams tick that box as well. Houston makes no sense with how short the history of that team is, only comparison btwn the teams was recent good form.
I'm a United and Cowboys fan and I feel like it's the perfect match. History of incredible success that we love reminding people about and gets us a lot of hate, haven't been on top in years despite a bunch of hype and hope, oh and our owners are more concerned about making money and being newsworthy than the product on the field. But yeah I can see how that matches Chelsea too. I don't think the Pats have the same history of success and then failure to the degree the Cowboys do. If the Pats get to a decade removed from Brady/Belichick and still failing then I would feel like that is the most accurate comparison.
Arsenal is the 49ers. Historic club/team which did extremely well in the 90s and early 2000s but hasn’t won anything as of late. Recently got back to being a year over year powerhouse of a team that has a squad that is absolutely stacked with talent.
US Evertonian here - the real match is the Chicago Bears. History, original team, past glory (all in the previous century), giant loyal suffering fanbase and rivalry with the Packers (who are LFC, face it - Shanks = Lombardi). When you think about it, you'll know I'm right. Pray for me, I'm Evertonian. Bears may be on the brink of glory, though (wait for the heartbreak)...
I was thinking of the comparison being the Cowboys but get why you said the Patriots. Personally, I am a Lions fan but that's mainly because I enjoyed watching them on Hard Knocks.

As a Ravens fan and an Everton fan, really enjoyed this. wish there was a Ravens comp though!
Buffalo Bills & West Ham supporter here. Josh Allen wild, talented, sometimes sloppy. Paolo DiCanio.
Shout out the rockets too
as a Man United n Texans fan, the optimism for the futures of both the teams is really got my emotions all over the place
Hey we may be rivals in the prem, but we can cheer fir the same nfl team 🤝
@@mlb944rambo3 it's not going good for us in the prem but thankfully texans future looking bright
@@chyup Facts
I'm a Villa fan and a Bears fan. Both had success in the 80s and have had nothing since.
Very apt comparison to Man City and LA Rams. Though Rams have splash signings; most of their team has been built from the draft. They've had double digit draft picks since 2017(?)
Thanks mate. Saints fan born and bred and now I’m going to start supporting Newcastle
Maybe you could do another list after the promotion/relegation battle but make it for the 12 NFL teams you didn't mention looking for a premier league team to root for?
great idea
Everton for JETS i was already a fan of the Jets. that was spot on!. seriosly the 2nd team to Win Top flight league of English Football and the 2nd team to win a super bowl. Both teams with a drought of Silverware its got to happen eventually.
Interesting choice regarding Chelsea and cowboys….but I must admit, I have never met a Dallas cowboy fan who isn’t a massive Manchester United fan and vice versa. It’s all about living in the past and considering “this year is our year.”
But I do appreciate a different perspective with different points.
Btw I disdain both teams 😂
Just saw the connection of Man U with the patriots. I think it’s a strong point, but I do think the teams should be reversed but wow I had not considered those points and definitely almost convinced me. Well done overall video
Texans legend JJ Watt is an investor in Burnley, ftr.
I've been trying to figure out what PL team to support for a long time. Nottingham Forest it is! Great comparison with the Chicago Bears: deep, rich history, recent struggles, massive hope for the future.
Yank here. West Ham supporter and Denver Broncos fan, though I don't think the two relate to each other all that well.
The Brighton Miami comparison is so spot on
spot on with the eagles and west ham. no wonder why i gravitate towards that team
I really feel like Eagles fans are much more like Leeds or Millwall fans.
Spot on with Man City and the LA Rams. I was watching to see what club Man City got, but you actually went with my home NFL team. Really accurate!
lets go!!! I'm already the only Villa and Lions fan in existence
The Wrexham thing makes sense since Rob is a huge Eagles fan.
I’m like your friend but I live here in the states (in Dallas actually). Up The Chels and Go Cowboys! ✭ 🔵
I’m a Newcastle and Vikings fan. I chose the Vikings because of the Scandinavians links to the north east and our ability to win Jack all.
As a Chelsea supporter and a Cowboys fan I just knew this comparison was coming.
As a Chelsea fan from Philadelphia. Cowboys haven’t won anything since the days of VCR tapes. Chelsea team could be the Patriots. Had a good 2000s and 2010s and are currently rebuilding with a new coach with a rich owner.
If you want to follow a team with rich culture, history, passionate and loyal fans. Chicago and Pittsuburgh is who you want to root for.
I'm a Steelers and Liverpool fan, lots of history some recent success but dreams of being the best again
Bears and Chelsea fan from SW London, very different teams but that's kind of nice
I've been a Bears fan my whole life and started watching forest this year so it's cool you said that they're similar
I'm a Seahawks fan who chose West Ham, and the Wolves comparison is hurtful. True, but hurtful.
I'm a City Fan but i've been a Washington fan since the Riggins Super Bowl.❤
Im a Chelsea fan and ive also been following the Raiders since i was a kid
arsenal and chargers fan. both teams love choking!
I'm an everton and titans fan after this coming season People will have a reason to remember the titans mark my words
Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers Head Coach, is the inspiration for the Ted Lasso character, if that is something that interests you.
The Crystal Palace/Titans Comparisons so accurate😂
As a diehard Bears fan that has been an Arsenal fan forever….. the Forest comparison makes sense😂
I was thinking of the comparison being the Cowboys but get why you said the Patriots. Personally, I am a Lions fan but that's mainly because I enjoyed watching them on Hard Knocks.
9ers and Liverpool are my teams...
It's been a tough year.
