This is a top quality English learning channel and it developes a lot of interest while listening your magical sound lecture.Undoubtedly this is an excellent effort by Crown Academy of English for promoting real knowledge of English.I congratulate you for presenting such a meticulous and splendid channel.I have been watching your videos for a long time and as a teacher I know the worth of these videos but I am addressing to you for the first time. Muhammad Riaz Lahore, Pakistan.
Hi Mr. Andrew! First, I want to thank you for all of these mindblowing free lessons of yours that you uploaded on youtube! Is really undoubtedly helping me to improve my English skills to be more way better :) , I'm ecstatically glad and grateful that I found your incredible channel on here . You're such undeniably good teacher to me because of the way you teach us isn't confusing to me it's really easy to understand to be honest ,and also I gotta say that you're really detailed of explaining every single thing to us. Thank you so much for your hardwork! I hope to see many other lesson videos of yours in the future. So now I want to ask you about the lesson on this video . On the part of foreign nouns you just mentioned three types of it : 1. Some Latin nouns ending in -us which replaces with - i 2. Some nouns ending g in -is which replaces with - es 3. Some nouns ending in -ix or -ex which replaces with - ices How about the others like... datum (singular) to data (plural) Alga (singular) to algae (plural) Automaton (singular) to automata (plural) Bureau (singular) to bureaux (plural) Are they considered as the foreign nouns too? Could you please explain it to me? Once again. Thank you so much Mr . Andrew :)
That's great. Thanks for your comment. I am happy that you like my lessons. Here is the full list: ruclips.net/user/CrownAcademyEnglishvideos Best wishes, Andrew
Very interesting and excellent job I have one note: some nouns are basically in plural. Ex Clothes, scissors, glasses, jeans, shorts We can’t say: a jeans, a scissors Otherwise we can say, A pair of jeans, a pair of shorts That’s that Wishers
thanks a lot for make this video and i am very happy because now i know very well how to explain for my friends this lesson but i had some doubt at this but now i understand very well how to teach this part of english grammar .many time crown academy of english try to solve the main problem of our in english language but i know making a video is not too much easy ....
Thanks for the lesson. Subtitles generated by RUclips were perfect, therefore I could understand almost everything that was said. I'm trying hard to hear English but it is still early to walk alone. someday I'll get there. ^^
EDER SILAS Petrini Thank you very much for your comment. I wrote the subtitles by the way, not RUclips! :) I am very pleased that my lessons are helping you. Best wishes, Andrew
+mina magdy Thanks for your comment. I am happy that you like my English lessons and I'm sorry for the delay in replying to you. I have been on holiday. Best wishes, Andrew
To all non-native english speakers, don't worry even fluent speakers like myself mess the plurals up sometimes. If you don't know what the correct one is just add an s, and we will understand.
Thank you so much for this awesome lesson. I came across one of those exceptions while watching a video about how to survive eating a poisonous fungus!

Thank you Andrew for uploading this video. Your way of explanation is tremendous. May God bless you. I have a humble request to you, could you please make a video upon subject/verb agreement. i have always made mistake while writing an essay. i am a nurse by profession, so would like to do IELTS to get a job in England. so could you please help me Andrew. I will be grateful to you.
jojo john Hello and thanks for your comment and question. I am not sure what you mean by "subject / verb agreement" Can you give me an example? The form of verbs is different for different tenses. I have videos explaining some of the different tenses (present simple, present continuous, past simple, future simple, present perfect) They are in this list: ruclips.net/p/PL6BDo90oiwpS4_AM1c0s0ozpROeE2A9ff Best wishes Andrew
Thank you Andrew for your valuable message. What i meant by subject / verb agreement is when we write a paragraph the paragraph should be grammatically accurate. As far as i know, for that we will check whether the subject and verb of the sentence is correct. For example- two subjects + and = plural verb. if two subjects refer to the same person or thing the verb is singular. when two subjects are joined with either...or, neither...or, not only...but also, the verb agrees with the subject closest to it. Andrew this is what i meant. when i write an IELTS essay i'm not getting a 7 band because i have these mistakes. there are many videos in youtube regarding this. Hence, i'm not satisfied because i only trust your videos and moreover, it is very easy to understand. i am sorry to disturb you always as i know you are busy with your errands. If you could help me please i will be thankful to you. i have to appreciate you a million time because nobody will do this help free of cost. hats off to your effort andrew. Regards Jojo
jojo john Thank you for your explanation. I'm not sure that the media of a RUclips lesson is adapted for such a specific question and grammar problem but thank you for the comment. Andrew
Thank you, Andrew. It was a very interesting lesson. However, for the word fish, it's an uncountable noun so we cannot say: "two fish" but for the plural, we can say some fish :) for examples.
Regarding the rules with nouns ending in - y, could you please tell me if the plural form of the nouns ending in -ies are pronounced /ɪz/ or /iz/. I looked it up, but sometimes I heard it 'ee' as in 'see' and sometimes 'i' as in 'sit'? Thank you very much for your useful lessons!
Can you clarify the difference of the rules between the regular verbs and the irregular verbs? Because I watched a youtube video regarding to a different perspective of the irregular verb rules. They say the words ending in ~es are also regular verbs.
Yago Campbell Hello and thanks for the comment and question and sorry for the delay in replying to you. A moose is a big animal, very common in Canada. This will help: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moose It is an irregular noun, because the plural is also moose (no letter "s" at the end) Best wishes, Andrew
Very nice video thank you for that but I have a question in the 2nd rule you explained nouns ending in ch, sh, a, x, z just add es then in the end of your video u explained some nouns will remain same and one of them is fish that is ends with sh? Cheers
Hello, this is Daisy from Brazil, I'd like to congratulate you for your classes! They are amazing, very detailed and well explained ones. Regarding this video, I missed the rule about the word curriculum, phenomenon, criterion. Would you comment about those words, as well?

Fishes is the plural when used for countable purposes.

i like ur channel but includes videos are little long so please if u can make them shorter it will be better for following efficiently
In the end of the video we have the word ''moose''... What does it mean ? Could anyone please explain me ?
Excellent video. Congrats..
Yago Campbell Hello and thanks for the comment and question and sorry for the delay in replying to you.
A moose is a big animal, very common in Canada. This will help: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moose
It is an irregular noun, because the plural is also moose (no letter "s" at the end)
Best wishes,
Andrew
moose: es un animal en español: "Alce"...15.2.2017
Hi, on +y words can we change candy to candies? Are these two sentences 100% correct ? I have 6 candies in my bag. I want a candy? Please help?
Adding es to words are irregular plurals or regular?
Very nice video thank you for that but I have a question in the 2nd rule you explained nouns ending in ch, sh, a, x, z just add es then in the end of your video u explained some nouns will remain same and one of them is fish that is ends with sh? Cheers
Yes, "fish" is irregular. It's an exception to that -sh rule. :)
If there are different kind of fish.
There are so many fishes in the pond. Is it correct?
The word buffalo may use with the plural meaning without adding es, right?
