Thank you man, I really appreciate the effort to create this video, I could replace the battery, and also didn't know about the nvme slots, perfect to upgrade to a new disk also ssd. Big thanks .
Surprisingly for this laptop you don't need to really separate the screws that much.. I kept mine all in a bowl together when I took my 17 r3 apart to clean it and replace a fan.. most of the screws on this thing are p screws.. the only ones you really gotta pay attention to are some of the smaller ones but aside from that easy disassembly and even easier assembly. Love this laptop
Gave it a thumbs up for the raid I didn't know lol oh well I got a 4tb ssd also any ram works for it only ddr4 260 pin I've tried 2 different types the max is 32 gb but I want to upgrade the cpu and gpu, I wanted to see how the inside looks like. Cool video.

I believe I will have to only clone the HDD to my new 2.5" SSD and then replace it so that the 2.5" SSD now becomes bootable. Q2) But If I plan to replace the HDD with a new M.2 SSD. what do i need to do ? How do i clone and remove the HDD so that i can make the M.2 SSD bootable and use it. ?

I have an Alienware M17xR3. Hard drive 0 died. I bought an ssd upgrade kit. How do I transfer the files to the ssd from the HD if it won't boot?
If the hard drive is dead, you'll have to send it to 300dollardatarecovery.com
