Thanks for your honest review of this set! It is quite apparent , that you aren´t too enthusiastic, especially considering its price range. This week Tansio Mirai released their 10th anniversary IEM (X) and it is on presale for 400 bucks (instead of 700). I´d really be excited about your impressions, if you´d have a chance to listen to it. Keep it up and stay musical!
Thank you Monk for another enlightening review. Also a joy to have it with that particular style you have. Had such a great time reacting at "Souple". Cheers Man!
Thanks for the review :) I'm a Canon 2 owner who bought them to replace OG Canons I lost. I remembered the OG Canons having a warmer, thicker sound, and bassier as you say, as well as a bit more versatility with the tuning switches. The Canon 2 seems to have more of a tuck around the mid-bass making them cleaner and a bit more audiophile. There was a month between me owning each pair though so hard to be sure in any comparisons. In any case, the Canon 2's are comfier than the OGs and I just EQ in extra warmth when I need it so am still very happy with them - even if I suspect I also preferred the OG sound in most cases! Also, agree with @munter68 about the Tansio Mirai X Anniversary - would be great to hear a review on them if you're able to! Annoyingly, I think the price will go up on the 25th Feb so doesn't leave people much time to make informed purchases. Very frustrating (albeit effective) marketing strategy!
do you think picking the EA 500 LM is worthwhile upgrade from the kiwi ears melody? or should i just to try to eq my melody and change the tips to improve the sound and save some money?
Hi TDM, quick question. Is my memory failing me, or did you once run the Canon 2 with Tri Clarion tips? Or was it the Penon Liqueur Orange? I watch every review and sometimes get details mixed up. PS I tried both tips with 1up 1down and prefer the Penon tips. I found the Tri Clarion a little spicy.. using Apple dongle.

I saw a graph of the X and it's a X NO GO pina to the moon!
My Pula O2 finally showed up. I like them more than the Hidizi mp145. They have a bit more bass. My new favorite iems
Wicked to hear. Now go buy the EPZ Q1 PRO before my review and every other one comes out being blown away by this sub $50 IEM

The shape is what prevented me to get this set, good ergonomics really elevate the daily use experience.
Too bad it's a nice set what was it about the shape?

@@tonedeafmonk thx
Glad I stuck with my OG Canon 🖖
Yup sometimes newer not better just different. I never had any pressure issues on the OG but some people did I guess?
@@tonedeafmonk Thankfully no pressure build up for me, either.
Hi, Monk, how do you compare the Canon 2 to the Hisenior Mega5p?
Mega 5p had pillowy bass not a recommended set the C2 was excellent just like the first one.
@@tonedeafmonk Thanks!
Compared to Performer 8?
Not Big fan of P8 found it dull and non engaging C2 all the way.
C2 or the sa6mk2
SA6MKII should not be hyped the C2 should be more hyped its quite good.
I would but the Meyer-Audio CKLVX D41 or Pula PA02 or either.
Hype 4?
I would buy these over hype 4 , I know what both bass sounds like and easy win for Yanyin
the first !
The second!
