This is the best review i saw so far on youtube. honest. "These are the pros, but wait there is the cons". Almost nobody does that, looks like they are paid to show only the good stuff. Altho id still buy one GTX Limited with my eyes closed, i would know what to expect, thanks to you. Keep doing this, we all thank you.
I’m a boat owner and even a bigger, longer boat will rock and shake in rough water. Don’t be too picky. GTX Limited is the most comfortable jet ski that you can buy.
@@watercraftjournal There’s no perfect machine, including GTX. So, the buyer has to pick what suits him or her preference. To me, there are more pros than cons in GTX. That’s why it is at the top of the Seadoo jet skies. No regret!
@@efthimios GTX handles just fine. It’s designed for comfort and multiple riders, but it is packed with a real punch when needed. RXT and RXP are designed for racing and single rider (especially true for RXP). GTX and RXT/RXP have different hulls.
The high horsepower variants do not seem to make much sense, given the issues with the hull at high speeds that you mention at around the 7 minute mark.
This is the best PWC review I have ever seen. You answered so many questions I had about this model. Thanks for covering the negatives in detail as well. A Riva Intake Grate seemed to help my RXP-X handle rough ocean conditions much better. Perhaps it will make a big difference on this model as well. Now I want to do this same ride on the Outer Banks!
He’s correct about the ST3 Hull, they are kick ass when water is glass to light chop. But in rough waters or wakes , you have to work to hold your line
Even experienced riders or boaters check weather conditions and decide whether it’s a good day to sail that day. If you go out in choppy water, you should expect being thrown around and sore at the end of the day regardless of type or size of your boat.
Funny, when riding Kawasaki and Yamaha high-end models, I always hated coming back home, (Normally in the wind) riding them vs. Sea-Doo hands down. I'm not a fan of the rough splash going 50+ they gave. Funny, I wonder what they get paid to say what the manufactures pay them too...Clearly Kawasaki so far pays the most! 😆 🤣 😂.The only reason We bought another Sea--Doo. It's such a much better made machine. Especially if you ride salt! However, I do agree that color is nothing shy of dangerous! It's the only for sale at the dealer right now. All others are sold out. FYI.
After doing my own research and watching your content, I bought a 22 Kawasaki 310LX over the GTX 300 limited. As time goes by and more info comes out, it solidifies the fact that I made the right decision! Couldn’t be happier!
I own both and the sea doo is hands down the better machine. Have you tried changing your oil filter yet? The Kawasaki is terrible for maintenance. The sea doo is way more comfortable too.
Your reviews are pro level as always. I have a 21 gtx and I noticed a slight improvement in chop if I trim it all the way up, puts me on top of some of it.. Hey, it's something.
Can’t wait until my kids are old enough to take out on the water with me like that. Love the outer banks, although I’ve found getting premium fuel out on the water there is more difficult than down in FL.
Honest review Kev! I've ridden RXTs & GTX's in heavy swell and didn't enjoy it. The Kawi & Yamaha handled it much better. The Seadoo has so many great features and a dry ride when the weather is great 👍
Kevin do you think BRP is going to add the steering damper off the Apex to the GTX next year and if so how much of a difference to its rough water manners do you think it will make?
Very good, observant question. It is VERY possible that we see it in future versions - maybe not next year. We'll continue to see this hull in use until 2027, so the dampener is likely incoming.
We were south of you at Topsail and rode up to Swansboro. We seem to always see dolphins in large numbers around Topsail. We idled for 45 minutes with what seemed like 40 or more last year. I am imagining an Ultra with the cupholders and gull wing storage pods but with that great GTX front storage accessibility also. That would be near perfect storage I do appreciate Sea Doo actually listening to your gripes and working to improve the flaws where they can.
You made a very valid point about the Green color being hard to see.. Essentially making it Difficult for anybody to find you at sea. Something to consider. I am a former "swift water" rescue specialist. Never did any big open sea rescues, but I can attest that finding craft in water isn't always the easiest task. The colors these days look beautiful and subdued... But offer limited visibility . I'll personally take yellow, red, Kawi green and orange any day. Yellow being my favorite. And that ST3 hull... I'll personally never buy anything with it. A RUclipsr (amateur first time jet ski owner) just did a trip to Catalina Island on a Explorer Pro and boy did it beat him up! Lol. He was whooped. No thanks. 4 minute 15 second mark ruclips.net/video/mFdD0tIHCGo/видео.html

Hay mate I can’t decide between the GTX 230 2024 or the GTR 230. I do riding in land lakes that become very choppy and also tow as well as touring with a passenger. I have heard that the st3 is not so good at speed in chop as the GTI hull what are your throughts
Would the experience be better with a RXT-X given the sponsons are more designed around performance handling and less for leisure? I had a 2023 GTX 300 LTD ordered but decided a few days ago to switch it to a RXT-X 300 Triple black series. Originally I did it because for the last 3 yrs, Sea doo has given crap for colour options on the gtx 300 ltd. Although the 2023 silver/blue looks okay, it reminds me too much of my 2019 GTI 130 SE colour pattern. RXT-X doesn't come with the depth finder which is the only real missing feature, and since i'm getting the Garmin 72 sv fishfinder/gps I didn't need the depth finder anyways.
No. The factory sponsons on the RXT-X are equally useless. This channel has exhausted the topic of the ST3 hulls' problems, and explored all of the ways to fix it.
Thanks for the reply. Yes I have seen lately the change in opinion around the ST3 hull. I say change in opinion because it seems to greatly differ from your 2020 GTX 300 LTD review calling the ST3 hull "innovative", "awesome top end water craft that has the performance to match its...", "ST3 hull revolutionized the design of PWC's...".
