Tamu is a huge Dream Theater fan, she even has them as her favourite band on Nemophila's website together with Opeth. I was pretty sure she has covered them on Daisuke Kurosawa's channel in the past as well during one of his Dream Theater cover livestreams, but I can't find the video any more for some reason.
If, for some bizarre reason, someone wanted Tamu to fail, their only chance would be to ask her to play something without smiling. That is a rare thing to see.
first! woot, love this song and Tamu's cover of this is so awesome. she's so good. thank you for this one. Mike is another active drummer who is always in like 3+ bands and side projects, even when he was the drummer for Dream Theater. I saw them live in NYC, great live band. She really killed this and made it look easy. I love how she's always enjoyed playing and smiling, but she does get serious and focus too, fantastic.
What I love about this is the top female Japanese drummers make it look so easy....there so smooth. Tamu is a freckin beast !!!!!! I also love Akani from Band Maid.
Holy Shit - one I haven't seen. I wouldn't miss this for the world. Thanks Wave. Makes me think of when you Reacted to Quadratum playing *_The Dance of Ethernity_* 🙂
Tamu is a huge Portnoy, Dream Theater fan. She had mentioned Portnoy, Dave Lombardo as favorite drummers, and influences. She covers Constant Motion also from DT.
Great playing, but rock drummers always to be mostly on-beat, although there was some off-beat sections in this. I realise that this was a cover but to add another dimension, especially to solos, you need some other fusion- jazz is always a good friend for rock. I did notice that the musical itself was more interesting than the drumming in some parts. I do get a bit bored generally when the double kick goes on for a while, but this was fine.

Whenever I hear 'Dance of Eternity,' I immediately think of Jill (Unlucky Morpheus) playing this song blindfolded. That was absolutely insane!! 🤘
Wow❗Big Love & Respect to this Smiling Mom Tam☺⤴
