You can create track diagrams for the fascia of your layout using software you already have. Let me show you how: ruclips.net/video/KZo8LUXVBLI/видео.html
I just found your channel the other day and when I seen this video I thought it was kinda fun that you talked about QC in Saginaw. I used to work there
Love see how you plan this new section and how it comes along . Looking forward to see more and how it comes out and especially how you do it all....thanks for sharing....Jack 👍👍 Just a hint, use the line function when lining up turnouts so you get a smooth transition, hope this helps!
Great video showing how you use any rail. I used the trial to get the basic concept of my mainline, I found it to be pretty easy software to use because I had no clue what I was doing. Thanks for sharing!
Great video as always Ron really enjoyed it and I'm excited about watching your layout expansion thanks for sharing stay safe and keep HIGHBALLING HOGGER 😎👉
Hi Ron, I don't know if I had mentioned that I am running the same software, anyway I am really interested in your input on this. Thank you for your time and effort. This is so impressive. The inclusion of industry and spurs, sidings, etc. is really imaginative on your part and I wanted to applaud your effort.
Ron, love the expansion...you can finally do Saginaw justice!!! Also like how you incorporated the "Trinity Connection". (the duckout track to Intermodal staging.) Can't wait to see what you do with Bowie.
Love to see a mainline schematic of your Layout. I'm also looking forward to seeing how you transfer your track plan from the computer, to the table work itself.
This was really interesting--the details of what a real rail would be in real life and that is what you are modeling. I also found the "AnyRail" software you used and downloaded it to try it. I saw removing the helix was needed since you are adding this extra space, so that has to be exciting to get that working. This makes me want to set up trains! I admit I am 100% a novice but I want to try it.
Hey Ron, great video! I'm pretty new at this hobby and have one question. Lets take your Koch Industries for example, how do you know how much room you need around the sidings for all the tanks, buildings, and the rest of the scenery? Do you have to predetermine what buildings you want to use and premeasure them? Yeah, I know, that was two questions. I will take my punishment later. Thanx for the video, hope your new expansion turns out great!
Hi, Dave. That is a great question. Ideally it is nice to have structure kits chosen in advance so you at least know the size of their footprint. That isn't always possible, and sometimes the space available dictate the size of a structure. In that case you sometimes need to kitbash or modify a kit or scratchbuild a structure to fit the space available.
Hey Ron! Thanks for sharing with us your expansion plan on Anyrail6. I love this software and it is a great guide to use and I am in the process of building level two benchwork of my layout which will be my industrial area. Now when you actually put in the track on the benchwork, do you plan track around buildings or buildings around track? Thanks for sharing! - Jason
Ron can you have AnyRail on your Desktop and a second computer like your laptop?? Also I'm really looking forward to seeing your expansion. Have fun, Chris
The wall you added must not be a full height if you are going to have track on both sides? I thought you had already started by tearing out the spiral? You may as well take over the rest of the room while you are planning.👍😉
Soon. I want to get the benchwork on the lower level built. After that I will be building the helix, which will take quite some time, so I plan to do some AnyRail tutorials during that time.
Anyrail is now up to version 6.32.1. There was an improvement in EXPORT to JMRI, with several enhancements. Here is a tip for you - Do you have sensor icons on your panel? Do you notice that when you load in your panel, the sensor icons are small little circles that are grayed out? Then after the first sensor update, they appear as the icon graphic you have selected. On the NEXT update, they change to the true state of the sensor. It takes TWO updates to get to this status. If you examine the xml file of the panel there will be a line for "sensor default status -= unknown. by changing this unknown to "inactive". The panel will start up with the icons showing correctly in an inactive state. The very FIRST sensor update will now cause the sensor icon to appear correctly according to layout conditions. If you EXPORT to JMRI, you need to be running Anyraill 6.32.1 for latest appearances to the import function. Bob S
Hey Ron, great video as always. I am just a bit confused about what you are doing about your fireplace. Are you just blocking it off or removing it all together or am I just confused about the placement of it in the room in regards to your expansion? I really do like how you have shown us how you use Anyrail 6. Now my wife just needs to let me know if our new desktop computer will be a Windows machine or an Apple one. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
Hi Ron, thank you for your video, very educational. I have a question? I miss the user objects tab in my anyrail. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the application but the tab is not visible. Do you perhaps have a solution? Greetings Wilko
This isn't a "doesn't anybody use a pencil and paper anymore" but do you sketch this out on paper at all before working in Any Rail? I'm sure it's pretty helpful to see if something actually works. Just getting back into model railroading, it looks like a lot of people take to just using turnouts (etc) and flextrack instead of small sections of track, either straight or at a set angle. I've tried the trial of Any Rail and it seems nice. It can be a little confusing with some of the brands and picking the right parts to drop in. It certain isn't adobe photoshop, but I've been happy with it.
Hi Brandon. You are clearly familiar with Saginaw. If you watched the whole video, one of the last things I did was install a turnout to go to Alliance. I don't have room for the full wye, but I'm modeling half of it.
I did, and I think that it’s an awesome layout. Definitely love train spotting in Saginaw. The wye is one of my favorite parts of the area. It’s great to see someone model that part of the metroplex. I’m working on an HO scale shelf build of part of East Arlington. Definitely don’t have the room for the GM yard. I enjoy your channel and thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Youre the best, Ron
I just found your channel the other day and when I seen this video I thought it was kinda fun that you talked about QC in Saginaw. I used to work there
I'm excited to watch this be put together, Ron!
Nice being able to follow along as you work out the expansion
Awesome video, Can't wait to see this come together!

Hi Ron, the plan looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing this come together!
I love the attention to detail in these layouts
Have not been to Saginaw in a long time. Their twenty-four hours is outstanding or at least it was until 2020.
I really love this! Thanks for teaching us how to do this!
Great video showing how you use any rail. I used the trial to get the basic concept of my mainline, I found it to be pretty easy software to use because I had no clue what I was doing. Thanks for sharing!
Ron, Your expansion plan looks great so far for the layout. Keep up the great work! Tony

Thank you, Pete. I appreciate the comment.
Really nice expansion project! Love ops and you are going to have some great opportunities

your expansion is the size of my entire layout. lol. Looks good
Great video Ron! looking forward to the bench work and roadbed construction.
Very nice expansion, I like how you set up the industries. It looks like you will be able to add a lot more good operation onto your layout.

Thanks Ron. That was very helpful. Are you also going to show the upper level. I learned a lot. Thanks.
Nice piece of software. I could see myself designing something far more complicated than I could ever build with that! :)
Wow Ron you make it look easy.. thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.. Lance
Anyrail is very nice rail planning software!
As I'm planning Ron this vid is helpful, will go chk out program tnx Man
Good luck and let me know how it works for you.
Thank you I appreciate you keep giving me information
So Cool!!!

Need more space for the intermodal trains! How were you able to acquire the extra land for the expansion? Who did you bribe, to look the other way?

Good question. The fireplace is another 9' beyond this new wall. That area will become my new studio.
That sounds great Ron, thanks. I do hate to see a good fireplace or stove go to waste.
Hi Ron,
what about the HO track plane?
Hi Ron, thank you for your video, very educational. I have a question? I miss the user objects tab in my anyrail. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the application but the tab is not visible. Do you perhaps have a solution? Greetings Wilko

Hi Ron, I have a question.
How do you know which track to buy?
Best is Y shaped branching out , then branching in back minimum.
Did you add the wye that is just north of the grain elevator and south of trinity?
Hi Brandon. You are clearly familiar with Saginaw. If you watched the whole video, one of the last things I did was install a turnout to go to Alliance. I don't have room for the full wye, but I'm modeling half of it.

I wish you had the old intro, but I will have to get used to the new one.
Hi I’m starting a dcc railroad soon it gonna be my first layout but ima have to turn my Thomas the tank engine to dcc so I can run it on my track
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍💯
Is this the Any Rail software?
Yes it is.
👍
I don’t like this AT ALL! I LOVE IT!!
Ron would love to see videos of you actually building the frame and layout. please just dont give us the final product.
So, Ron: What did you have to buy your wife in order to get the OK for the expansion?
Word Up!
That thumbnail gave me anxiety. Lol!
Ron likes to DRAG his videos. Talks too much and not show enough. I only have viewed a few videos and BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
