Made this yesterday, got every ingredient and it turned out perfect. Added a little extra chilli powder to make it a little bit hotter and it was amazing. Recommended , try this recipe!
It was a great recipe from Mr Harpal Singh. The guy is so focussed and passionate about cooking. He literally knows how to trance audience. It was really helpful. Love to see Lamb recipes 'cos that's the area i have not conquered yet.
I tried this today and followed the preparation instructions exactly as shown on the video - the result was absolutely amazing and delicious. The only difference I made was that I cooked it over hot charcoal instead of in the oven. I will be making this again soon and many times in the future. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
nongspencer there's nothing like charcoal grill. You did right by using this method rather than using, an electric oven. The smokiness of the the former is unbeatable. Cheers
Delicious recipe. I tasted this dish when I was in India and I love it. . Thank you for your comment about Venezuelan women. I also deeply admire your country India, its people and culture. A big hug from Caracas Venezuela
Mr. Singh, i have tried a few of your recipes, and must say, every time, the results are amazing. i only cook once in a while, but every time, the dishes turn out too good...from tikka to bhurji...awesome...thank you sir...
Too good, I've tried many of your recipes and invited my Korean friends (esp. the korean girls...lol). They are just crazy about Indian food and now they're crazy about any food cooked by me :) You've made me quite popular.
I made the chicken today it was delicious. I didn't have time to marinate for 2-3 hours and only managee 40 min and it was great. The chicken was so soft, spicy and just great recipe. We do it again!

dear harpal singhji ... i tried this recipe today and it turned out amazing!!!! it is very simple and made with readily available ingredients .... thank you so much!! keep the recipies coming thru.....
I have made this recipe about 5 times and it is fantastic. The only thing I do not do is the grahm flour as I want it to be as carbohydrate free as possible.
Thank you for the recipe. I tried it a couple of times and it came out so delicious. I didn't have mustard oil so I put olive oil, and I also didn't have the cardamon seeds, but it still tasted great.
Harpaal ji, I tried your Chicken tandoori last Saturday (I have never cooked b4 in my life, I only knew making tea and Maggie noodles), I am in my village at present and dont have a oven here so I cooked chicken tandoori on an charcoal anghethi and it was the best chicken my family has tasted ever. I am going to try out your chicken tikka masala this sunday. Your procedures are so simple to follow. Thank you Sir jee. Please do a video on mutton goshtawa (a kashmiri mutton recipe).
Made this today, did not have ajwain, so put methi in the second marinade instead. Had to use sunflower oil and mustard powder instead of mustard oil. Turned out great and very tasty. PLease note: mustard oil is not allowed for culinary use in Europe due to cancer scare, can only be used externally for cosmetic use.
Tried the recipe it turned out awesome!! Thanks for sharing!! Only change i made i did it on a grill pan with some oil. And i didnt cook the gram flour in oil i just dry roasted it in a tawa. On the whole superb recipe. Just loved it!!
Hi, Firstly let me tell you that you are a genius.. The way you cut vegetables am just in an awe of you.. I don't have an oven but a convection - microwave only.. so can you tell me the exact temperature and the time it should take for me to cook Chicken Tikka.. ??
Juicy tender chicken. Like so many of your dishes... chicken tikka; Great & delicious recepi. Made this for my 11 month baby as he has started to take a liking to cultural food and he loved it. Used slight pepper not Chilli. Thumbs up to you chef, Harpal
Sir, You cook really well. I have tried many of your recipes and they all taste yummmmmmmm. Just wanted to know if there is a substitute for mustard oil in the above recipe?
Harpal Ji, You are the greatest chef in India. You make all the recipe so simple and awasome, even I can cook. Pls do some Italian style dishes too. Thanks:)
thank your for your authentic recipe. i was astonished to find so many recipes on the web for this that was loaded up with butter, heavy cream, and had none of the regional spices that you're using. i was able to find most of the spices on MySpiceSage except for the mustard oil which i was able to get from eBay. i can't *wait* to get the spices so i can make this. i'll be checking out the rest of your videos soon as i've heard so much about the healthy effects of real indian cooking!
thanx Chef...your ability stands out...the tandoori method or open flame...sooo good because of "char" upon the flesh. Sukriya sir blessings to upon you and your family 🙏
OMG! I tried it at home and it ended up so dammmnnnn yummy!!!! thank you soooo much for the epic recepie which is cheap and best!!! u r the best on youtube!!! i am not saying this bcoz i got ur recepie well but just because all you recepies i ried were amazing...:P
I made these today and they looked absolutely amazing and tasted delicious ! I added a few extra things to the recipe: 1 tsp Coriander Powder,Kasuri Methi and a little bit of red food colouring. I also wanted a charred taste to the chicken so instead of baking the kebabs in the oven, I broiled them ( Heat coming from the top coil). Before broiling, I put the chicken pieces on the the skewers and lightly charred them on a high gas flame on the cooker. This is what gives the really good charred taste. After they had charred I broiled them on a metal grill rack in the oven to cook the chicken all the way through.
Best chicken tikka recipe! I made this along with your tikka masala sauce and my family loved it! I even made my own cashew nut and mellon seed pastes in order to make your sauce. This is now a family favourite and I will no longer buy this from a restaurant for a takeout dinner.

AWESOME way to cook chicken tikka.. So easy to cook ( even VENEZUELAN ladies ) can do it . Well for this recipe i'll buy you a ticket to South Africa so you can meet this year's Miss world.. One thing @ oven has to be on BAKED OR BROILED? Please reply soon!!
I loved this marination with chick-flour, I use melted butter instead of mustard oil. I make this marination in small quantity and store it in the fridge and use it whenever needed to fry chicken or fish.
Chef, do you add mustard oil for the taste or the colour, or to help the marinade stick and improve texture? I added probably half of what you did and I found it very strong and overpowering. Would you recommend using peanut oil?
yes sir, instead of 10 we must give 12 minutes as my microwave goes to max of 900 watts....so it depends on microwaves..... Tons of thanks to you for instructions.....as microwave cooking is a fast and non messy cooking :)
ohh am from venezuela i feel soo happy to heard wt u said.. u love my country and i love yours .. i am crazy to learn about indian cusine and thanx to you my dream will become true.. best of luck and keep it up ..!!

Please help me!! I'm loving watching all your videos, you make me smile because you are so happy!! Big hugs Dee xxx
I did the first marinade for over 2 hours and the second marinade will be done overnight. Ill then cook it tommorow. I used a whole leg instead of small cubes. Didnt have mustard oil so I used mustard paste.
Hi Chef, The video is fantastic - Can't wait to try this. Quick Question - Could one use whole chicken pieces (leg / thigh etc) on the bone, but use the same spice mix? Or would you recommend another recipe for that kind of cooking? Thanks in advance!

Interesting. I usually use his recipe from his own videos...but now I'll have to try the one from the sanjeevkapoorkhazana videos too. Not sure about the gram flour addition...but I'll give it a shot.
