This arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentines Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. Epic. This one catches your breath in the first few seconds....you are absolutely blown into the Angelina zone...instantly....spontaneously...talk about stairway to heaven.... , the piano is so haunting......and in fact the whole production is haunting....emoting feelings that really are soul deep....a mini masterpiece...that deserves viewing over and over again. What amazes me most...is that you can never quite put your finger on why this engages you so quickly and deeply. What is it about her vocal presence that stops everything around you..the moment you hear her... We are really blessed to witness the development of her unique talents....to just kick back and enjoy...thank you Angelina. One of my favorite songs and she did not disappoint
The first few words, sink into her voice. Barely there background music cradles her voice but doesn’t compete with it. The pianist, I’ve never heard a better pianist.

"Here we go again, asking where I've been". Angelina at 16, has been tending to her school work and no doubt writing new songs, all the while practicing her craft. Once her family believes the time is right, Republic Records will promote her worldwide and her career will skyrocket. Angelina has always said her desire is to sing for the entire world, spreading a message of love and peace.
All I can say is that MrBoyd is gonna be blown away by this rendition... no not a rendition - it is closer to an original than it is to a cover. Wish I could be available to listen live to what this great reactor says.

One of my bros lost his wife of 26 yrs to covid 18 months ago. He and his two sons have been playing a lot of golf to help with their grief. I retired yesterday. I'm playing with them this Saturday.

Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day.
Elvis' version is great and it always was, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own.
When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched.
Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song.
The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers.
The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister.

her voice and body size have melted together and creates this deep warm sound, that feels effortless. there is an other even more important talent she has, and that her feeling for arrangements and composition. this version is much better than the original - in my opinion.
She performs Elvis, Adele, Legend and so many other great singers songs with many listeners finding they like her version as much or more than the greatest previous version and all the time she is getting better. Truly a phenom.
Her delivery of this …. every note loaded with emotion and power! Her power is so special, as she reigns it in and goes breathy … but still, the knock-out punch! And what the hxxx is another 10 years of development going to do to an already mind blowing voice?
I’m eating healthily, going to the gym/swimming, getting plenty of countryside fresh air, looking both ways twice at intersections etc., doing my damnedest to live for as long as I can to hear where Angelina goes from here, for as long as I possibly can. I’m hopeful, as my mum was a centenarian!

I’ve been an Elvis fan all my life and this has been the best cover of this song i’ve ever heard. the way she sang this really captures the emotions attached to the lyrics 😌
I've followed her for years and the idea that she has finally got her style man this girl has never try to sound like another singer. She wrote her first book and it was published before she was ten won Norway got talent at 7 and she has performed all over the world. I love the fact she takes a song and in away makes it her own without removing the original singers. Her way of singing pulls you in and you go on her journey with her you feel it in your soul. Can you tell I'm a hugh fan this young lady is making memories.
A correction is needed here. She wrote an entry in her diary at the age of six, after she met the girl without shoes, and this formed the basis of her book "Between two harts" which was published in 2015 when she was nine.

Mr L ... oh, what have we in store! You so well described - I knew you would really catch it. Regal, absolutely astonishing, better than amazing and hauntingly beautiful ... Yes, "Here we go again ...".
She's adding a new dimension to her singing every time she's doing a new cover, she's incomparable!
Naa it is definitely a constant and bit by bit improvement and development. The versatility is what throws that off a bit. So many keys and techniques she can floor you with. So it's just sort of a cycling through of all those as time goes on. Each performance shows a decent amount of that versatility, but it is just little bit of different clues in different performances about her skill set. So sure between say 'wicked game' at around 12 and this one, her solid clear tone on her lower register is incredibly improved, we've seen little tid bits all over the place on that part of her repertoire. Same for breathy tones high or low that gain more and more clarity and power as she goes. This wasn't a shock to me at all, but I have been craving something like this from her for sure. And any way you slice it, you don't have to be surprised by her to never be ready for her. This was no doubt as captivating and impressive performance as she's ever done, til the next one at least.
Happens to be one of my favourite Elvis songs but this is just so beautiful I think I enjoy it more. Benefits from the stripped back delivery and honey drenched vocal. She is unlike any other artist I can think of. Just supreme

In most of her songs growing up, Angelina experimented with different sounds and emulated the features of many singers. She didn't mimic them but for instance, in her earlier Elvis covers, she sounded a lot like Elvis. In the last year, maybe two, she has fully embraced a style that is uniquely hers, regardless of the original genre of the song she is covering. Her vocal control over subtle things that I hear but knowledgable enough to properly describe is amazing. I find it difficult to imagine how she could improve from here but I would have said the same thing two years ago.

My favorite aspect of watching reactors to this video is when they hear the very first note or two. Your face said it all when she began. She really is astonishing. I don't know exactly what it is about her, but I can listen to her over and over and still be moved every time. And you are right, she is better even though that hardly seems possible.

Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California. Rob has been playing the piano on most of AJ's studio production performances. AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs.

Mr. Boyd, first let me say congrats to your 513K . I have been listening to you since your first did a Angelina Cover ( think your were at 25,000 roughly and I have come back for many other reviews of her and the other things you cover Music and Comedy). I believe Angelina and her fan based jumped into your pond full force and glad we could be helpful in your growth. Not surprising RUclips analytics will probably say my age group of 55 to 65 is probably your biggest group and we have a tendency to like your content a lot.
As for Angelina, I will add only this to your comments. Angelina is still only 16 and doing this while going to high school full time hanging out with family ands friends. I like most of her fan base is on the edge of our collective seats waiting for her to go into this singing business full time. Thank God her family doesn't care about our needs, and is keeping her balanced and staying her age and keeping it simple. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. She had the red guitar and the black outfit! I was not expecting this! This was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old….Wow!!! What a performance!
