One term I think everyone should understand is what I call "cooperative drilling". You guys are really good. But for those that want to get better it is important to hit as many reps as possible. So, on resets, drops, up and back game, skinny singles it is better to hit controlled shots that are effective, but give the other opponent a chance to practice their technique as well. It teaches control to both players and really helps if one is a stronger player than the other. The last thing one wants in drilling is to have one person slam the ball just to put it away after just a couple of shots. Keep up the good work.
This is a great video on warm-up drilling, w instruction! Please notice how many reps they get in, & how long they keep the ball in play! This provides a good model to show what is possible.
I’m a newbie and I’m learning a lot from your videos. Just one non skill comment. At times the language gets a little salty. It’s probably not a big deal to many, but I spent 24 teaching in the inner city and stressed professional language in professional (classroom) situations.
For balls that are only a small step away, it’s ok to move your outside foot first. Anytime you have to move more than that, a shuffle step is absolutely necessary. This is why you’ll see it more evidently in cross court dink rallies.
Great! What about skinny singles. Traditional cross cort serve, odd/even, but server must move to the returner's side and play resumes from the returner's side of the court. Normal serve distance, must THINK!
Hey I'm a youth player myself, i also live in AZ and I'm playing in a highschool tournament this weekend in mesa at Legacy on Friday and Saturday. Would be amazing if I could see you and right now I'm working on also going pro! Anyways if not amazing video, loving it!
The more I study the game as a player and a coach, the more I realize just how critical Footwork is as a foundational skill to be emphasized and developed. Great video on footwork, guys!

Thanks. Glad I’m not a teacher in the inner city then, just a pickleball coach .
Are you sure you guys are not brothers? Love the banter back and forth. 🤣
No lol
I watched your footwork video that just came out. Noticed that your outside foot steps first primarily in these dink games vs your inside foot

Watching the MLP playoffs right now as this dropped, but can't wait to come back later tonight and give this a full watch!
Let’s go!!!
Nice to see the pros struggle with the drop! Now I don't feel so bad :)
Lol
Caden is definitely an auditory learner, when he’s talking he gets behind in the shot
Lol

We’ll do a video on that soon!

Hitting the ball right after it bounces

what overgrip do you use?
I don’t have a preference, I use lots of different ones…
Although there’s a new hex grip that I’m loving
I love caden cursing
🤣
Any tips for getting new players into drilling? A lot of my friends don’t dink and just try to bang
Lol. Just ask them and send them this video. I have to make an app. 😊
FYI: The injury prevention link isn't working.
Sorry, link is in the description

Great video on footwork, guys!
👍🏻🤙🏼
Caden for the win!
Lol he cheated
don't practice drives?
Of course we do, just not specifically in this drill session. When we get to skinny singles, we will get some drives in then.
Caden's trash talking was cracking me up especially when his mouth caused his hands to forget to react. Another great video though.
