Thanks for the review, appreciate it. The S2 sounds like a great paddle. I tried the Invikta and enjoyed it, but I think the S2 sounds like a better fit for me.
I have a ping pong background and all of my other paddles were S2. When I ordered the Luxx I got the Epic only because I wanted the option for a two handed backhand if I ever decided to add that shot. I have been playing with some players recently that have a great two-handed backhand and it’s deadly! Love this paddle!
I've used a ping pong "grip" primarliy for 6 yrs of playing. Did so to keep my damaged elbow and wrist issues from giving me grief. I played a game with the LUXX and love the soft feel and control i'm looking for to improve my soft shots and short game. The throat hole takes some getting used to for my grip style.
This is a great point. I'm currently making a video about ping pong players using the S2 LUXX and making a big point about elbow pain. I know 2 people that were having tennis elbow issues due to the popular elongated shape of the paddles out there. That's a real issue. The short handle and center of gravity of the S2 really helps.
@@DrKlaytonKosek I've stuggled with my elbow (30 yrs. twisting wrenches) since I started playing. "over gripping" or "sqeezing" too tight was a problem for me to break. Tried all the common "fixes" but ping pong grip or "control" grip as it's called sometimes, has given me to best results. Also the "BANDIT" brace keeps me from staining those tendons/muscles of the elbow.
@kimleith1378 Glad you're finding ways to work around it to stay active! Also, look into KT Tape. Taping your wrist/elbow is relatively easy and will help during those long sessions
so you think s2 shapes(ping pong shapes) are better for tennis elbow? I've been getting some tennis elbow pain when im playing for long hours of pickle and have been using the elongated from selkirk, halo max and just switched to a vulcan paddle that looks more ping pong ish. just ordered the lux epic shape to see how that feels. I come from ping pong so prefer that grip
I think the S2 shape is ideal for tennis elbow. Some top heavy power paddles I've used (like the new gearbox paddle) are really hard on the wrist extensor muscles that cause the elbow pain
I am getting the S2 as well. Thanks for the review.
I don't blame you! No problem, thanks for watching!

Same here. Glad I could help!

Hey Jeremy! I agree the two handed backhand is a serious weapon at times. The epic is the only LUXX I haven't tried out yet.
The invikta feels so Long and slow

Get the Cliff paddle, easy on your elbow.
Can we have a link to your white tape?
It's the Selkirk Protective Edge Guard Tape. For the Luxx you'll want the 30mm 👍🏼
“The whole paddle is a sweet spot” ??? This is not a serious and honest paddle review.
