    Nice cake will be trying it this weekend. Couple of pro tips: use your glass measuring cup to melt your stick of butter in after you've added your water and invest in a small silicone spoonula or spatula to help scrape your bowls but to also scoop your PB out of the jar and if you spray the inside of your 1C measure cup with Pam before you put the peanut butter in it will come out super easy And lastly to get your PB into your batter better dump that measuring cup of into your butter residued glass measuring cup and melt it in the microwave, it will blend in so easy and much more fully incorporate😉

    Hi Mandy! Thank you for your recipe. My husband and son love peanut butter and chocolate. I will make this for them for Sunday dinner dessert. I love homemade birthday cake. My mother always made my brother’s favorite cake “German Chocolate”, my father loved pound cake with homemade whipped cream and strawberries and mine was caramel cake/sometime I would ask for peach cobbler with her homemade whipped cream. I just kept the tradition going.😁 I just subscribed.

    I just found this video and i read some of the comments before making mine. Why didn't you use a mixer instead of mixing by hand since you have to add peanut butter to the cake mix which is rather thick to mix into a cake mix by hand. Would have made it easier for you and anyone else would use a mixer when making this cake. But all in all Mandi it does look delish.

      When you think about how much you would spend for a cake at a local bakery this cake is not expensive at all. Have you priced cakes at Wal-Mart or Hy-Vee lately? They are $20.00 to $25.00 and they don’t even taste good!

    Peanut butter, eggs, and other liquids mixed together. Then added gradually to the dry ingredients. Otherwise it's too much mixing, which will end in a tough cake.

  • @23anyer
    @23anyer Год назад +2

    Mandi, two cake mixes? Why do you double the recipe? For this amount of ingredients, shouldn't you be using a larger baking dish instead of a 13x9?

    If u both like peanut butter cake why not fix with a peanut butter icing, I scrolled down and saw home made peanut butter cake with peanut butter icing, but I guess you just did the chocolate this time
    but peanut butter icing may not taste as sweet but well we all have our different likes and dislikes but

    Why all these cake mix videos? Which is not rocket science! None of these home bakers on the videos know what they're doing, they are not prepared, misen place would help them tremendously, and try using the right tools for the job. Sorry harsh comments, but these home bakers bore me to 😭 tears. A box mix is already done right, stop trying to change it, these hacks not necessary.

    Why must we continue to see CAKE MIX VIDEOS. CAKE MIX TASTES LIKE CHEMICALS. If you ever make a real cake one time and realize that it takes only minimal effort and TASTES DELICIOUS.

    Too much eggs all for one cake. It don’t take that much. Eggs are expensive. Probably when I don’t have to sell a kidney, then yeah.

      She used two cake mixes, that’s why she used double the amount of eggs, you can half this recipe pretty easily. ☺️

    Myself I have gone and sort of used the measurements and even the ingredients but I have also substituted and some ingredients put a dash more or less and why not use chunky when a lot of cakes and brownies and cookies call for walnuts
    I have swedish in me and we don't always go by how the measurements or what all the ingredients are we well play by ear and improvise sorry
