3:31, there are rare mobs that when killed they drop scarabs, these ignore your atlas modifiers. i had Unwavering Vision allocated and still dropped scarabs.
Nothing stopping you from identifying game mechanics that could go well together and complement each other to generate materials that are in high demand, or to do the same thing for crafting.
I am so happy I went with a scarab tree to complete the atlas with. Some of the mods from the league, coupled with a few other league mechanics can be reaaaal riptastic. But with back to basics it felt so much safer to clear maps for progression. And the scarabs in the bank really got me going when it came to the big boi farming. Been playing ice trap of hollowness trickster and when I switched to harb/ess/boxes, I made like 50d in 2 days playing casually. (While afking in osrs).
Cool strat. A notice to new players seeing this: you should be very careful reading the map mods because the increased effect can wreck your build even if its very good. For example, 60% reduced recovery of X mod, with a full effect tree, becomes ~100%.
I wish there was a passive way to trade items where people could just buy your stuff without you having to interact with them. Want to try this strat but the idea of selling all those scarabs........ pain.
I'm a huge fan of auction houses myself. I quit D3 when Blizzard removed the auction house and haven't touched it since; nevermind, bought D4. No thank you. Having played WoW many years of my life, I can really appreciate the simplicity of listing items in an auction house, people buying them, and then picking up my profits from a mailbox or source. Having to interact with players is such a pointless prerequisite to trading thought up by baby's that would have died without a momma's hug in infantry that have grown into adult children. It's so stupid. If you need social interaction, go outside and make some friends.
I ran a similar strat couple of days ago. Instead of taking all of the scarab travel nodes went with full spec in league mechanic and chance for higher tier maps. I ran double cartography, 1 duplication and one ascencion. In 40 maps I got myself over a 100 cemeteries, tons of corpses and allflames as well as 15-20 t17 maps. I loved the strat definitely doing again, will try your version as well
I think you're very generous with your evaluations and in another of these you converted C>D>C>D which introduces a lot of uncertainty. you should hedge more conservative and calc C and D separately before converting+ once at the end. imho. anyways really enjoyed this series - thanks!!
Cool to see you doing some stuff that relatable to 99% of the community. Your deli scarab dropped from a conversion rare I would assume. They ignore the node and altars that drop specific scarabs ignore the node. Like Blue altars can roll blight scarabs and they will still drop blocked.
I just tested it out. You can run the map after putting a delerium orb into it, but you will not be delirious. There is no fog, no delirium rewards etc... the mods gets completely wasted.
Thanks for doing these Empy. My go to money making used to be Heist with all the Alt quality gems, but once that got changed I've been kind of jumping between mechanics, and curious what works well and what doesn't. Going to set up a barrels atlas when I get home for some easy, laid back farming.

It's been a lot fo fun so far to just strictly map and not have to worry about doing a league mechanic. I'm noticing that Harbi's are also actually add quite a bit to scarab drops when I get the Devoted node of "accompanied by a Harbinger".

Isnt the "map gain" nodes pretty useless as its only one monster has higher chance to drop 1 connected map. When that has happened it doesnt do anything :/
Next time also mention how much your gear costs because this gear noticably speeds up the map completion as compared to an average player that has issues with making currency and is looking for cheap investment strats.

I never include trading time to keep these numbers for the strats consistent. If you want to, feel free to add your trading time and modify the numbers for yourself. I usually farm for a week or so and then do a trading session when i bulk sell everything in 4-5 hours. (Usually after 40-50 hours of farming). So in my case you can add 20 minute trading time.
Yeah that's the problem with a lot of these strats, wastly overrated what you will be able to sell. Thats also why harvest is so good, just raw easily sellable loot.

My problem with scarabs is that only a dozen or so of them are worth anything at all. I sold off my big ticket drops, and can't sell the rest in bulk (about 25div at ninja price), even at 50% of ninja price on TFT. No one cares, so even though ninja says theyre worth 2-3c, they're actually worthless. 🤷🏻♂️
Hello, could I ask why did you decide to block Expedition, Abyss and Delirium (scarabs as I understand) from dropping? Are they very cheap hence not worth collecting or is there some any other reason? I suppose you want to boost other content sextants, hence I ask if the ones you've blocked are not worth the bother? Peopel are doing a lot of crafting right now, if u wanna farm essences, u can get crazy money, I did 10 maps and made 8 div from it:D just use all essence scarabs:D

If you can do the investment i reccomend looking into pandemonium + 2x map dupe + destructing play atlas tree to farm t17's. Selling in bulk on tft is very profitable. And yeah you def need 4 watchstones
All of these strats just show the farming time so as to keep it consistent, what I usually do is do a trade session of 3-4 hours after a week or 2 of farming stuff and sell everything. You're free to add your trading time and modify the numbers for yourself!
Looks giga cringe to me. You gotta roll the maps, takes giga long. The loot is horrible to sell (hundreds of 2c scarabs), 0.4d per map, long to loot and a huge chunk of the profit is Uber frags absolutely not related to the "barrel and go". I dont see the appeal of this strat tbh. People speaking about 50d per hour with this just put everything into a quad tab, wealthy exile it, and believe the ridiculous number it outputs. I'm not sure a 500d scarab tab will sell that fast after a day of farming this strat...... Any decent harvest strat (cornucopia or imbued harvest crop rota) will give you average of 0.4d+ per maps in JUICE only (very liquid, sells fast as f), without taking in account the other drops from the map (allflames, corpses, drops from eldrich altars....).
All of These stop from dropping nodes removes them from the base drop pools, which means there is still a shitton of Places which drop them, which is why the Block nodes are basically useless as well

You can't get mechanics on maps but what if you started a deli orbed map for more monters? Also does beyond count as a mechanic in the map?
Have you tested it? I'm curious if delirium orbs work with back to basics.
I just tested it out. You can run the map after putting a delerium orb into it, but you will not be delirious. There is no fog, no delirium rewards etc... the mods gets completely wasted.

your transitions between video chapters are like micro flashbangs
and the no scarabs notable only affects the small passives for scarabs , they can still rng drop off mobs and from lantern mods

What about twist of fate with this? The low investment makes it easy to leave the reflect or whatever maps. Hitting a 500 quant map is pretty sweet

The blocking is most likely to get a little bit more of other scarabs rather than those specifically.

You can, you just can’t force regular leaguemechanics (like breach abyss etc) into your maps. Some scarabs like the ones i used work perfectly fine.
