These fighters have fought roughest battle of history. Against all odds, against the mighty super power, once again sending a message that afghans will never surrender to any invaders.

do not argue with Pakistanis fine, but you must improve your arguments. Taliban or Pashtun majority of Afghanistan are a political reality, no government can sustain without their participation. puppet government like Karzai or ashraf ghani hardly control few area of Kabul only. now Taliban control more area than 2001. America totally defeated, just face saving.

I hope Al Jazeera will continue to support him and other reporters like him. Truth and objectivity are sometimes difficult to find, especially in situations where people have very strong feelings.

Just another reason military intervention is a fool's errand for these rich nations.
And if you ever wondered why so many Americans love their 2nd Ammendment, this is why. Even with small arms, a population can mount an effective resistance to even the most powerful military and police states. You can drop bombs, drone strike and mortar until the cows come home - if a population refuses to be pacified and has access to small arms, then time is on the side of the insurgents, particularly if they're native.
Powerful governments never seem to learn this lesson though.

helmand has been the scene for heavy AMERICAN AIR BOMBARDEMENTS for 2 years now. whenever the taliban advanced, the kabul army called for american air support, which then heavily and blindely bombed alleged taliban positions, which caused always enormous civillian sufferings. without the american air support, the taliban would have captured helmand easily within few days. this docu fails to mention the american involvement at all. pathetic

dont need bravery to interview the taliban. interviewers are regarded as guests. islamic/afghan tribal culture produces this very important rule: guests, opressed, and even hostile combatants who seek hospitallity or protection, must be protected at all costs. in afghan tribal codex its called "nanawatay"" (protection of every opressed, every guest and everyone who asks for protection even if they are hostile enemies fighters). and even more important, God commands the muslims in the Quran:
"And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him
protection so that he may hear the words of Allah . Then deliver him to
his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know."
      surah 9 verse 6

Afghanistan is the world’s biggest exporter of black-market opium from which heroin is made. It’s a multi-billion dollar business, responsible for around a hundred thousand deaths every year and it’s a major source of income for terrorists. RT Doc travelled to the poppy fields where death is harvested to find out why no one can put a stop to this deadly trade.
When it comes to heroin, a non-intervention policy is still going strong in Afghanistan where over 90% of the world’s black market opium is produced. Most finds its way onto the international drug market and the profits fund organized crime and terrorist groups like ISIS, which is growing in strength here.
The dealers and manufacturers aren’t hard to find: they live in luxurious houses, have fields blooming with poppies and sell their narcotic wares in broad daylight. Even so, they still manage to evade arrest. Poppy fields are destroyed and drugs seized but it’s only ever the middle men who are punished, not the drug lords. There’s been a NATO military presence in the country for 14 years now but still, drugs production continues to grow.
Local people suffer from the drug business too, around 18% of the capital’s population are drug addicts. The places where drugs are sold and used are well known but the police are powerless to act. Mafia wars drive civilians from their land in the southern regions, forcing them into refugee camps in their own country. Opium growers get rich by plunging fellow citizens into the depths of misery.
RT Doc’s investigative team visited Afghanistan to document the Police’s losing battle against opium producers and its effect on the rest of the country. They talk to police officers, drug users and opium growers in search of a fuller picture and to ask why this massive and life-destroying industry continues to flourish.

They are freedom fighters fighting against the oppressive regime of the Pak govt.

Haha love his acting about being kidnapped. Taliban will never harm aljazeera reporter after all Qatar is the main sponsor of Taliban. And the only country where Taliban have embassy is Qatar.

Actually the ANA guy shooting is Pashtun and the guy who asks him to be careful with civilians is not! Shows that this is not a conflict of Pashtuns vs Non-Pashtuns. It's illiterate madrassa brainwashed fools vs Afghan Army. Long live ANSF
