@@stephenvargas5806 if this is your takeaway after hearing these words from Bae - y'know, genmate of both Fauna and Mumei who definitely has the most well-informed opinion out of anybody else involved and certainly more informed than us outsiders - then you did not pay attention to what she actually said.
@@darthrevan1225lol yes it my take away from watching Hololive for years. THEY LIE. Bae just gave you PR speak. Of course she’s going to tell you “mumei is ok” what else will she tell you. Mumei is next? She just told you they knew fauna was leaving way before it was announced. They aren’t going to tell you if someone isn’t ok. They never have.
Fauna needs 62k subscribers to get to 1M before graduation so that she can get a plaque. Go subscribe so that she can get a plaque before she graduates.
This is what i was talking about. The saplings along with mother Fauna takes us in and comfort us for our losses. Then this happens. What to do when our cure of comfort is also gone? I was taken by saplings and chattini & now chattini are my only place to go😢
At this point you should stop watching Hololive… in the recent share sale that Yagoo did when hololive when public he only got 30% of shares, which means that Hololive will never be the same any more (unless Yagoo manages to get 51% or more shares ) 😢😢😢
It's bitter sweet for me, I'm sure she's happy being around friends and other idols but you must be blind to think that management isn't failing to satisfy their talents with how many graduations we've been getting...
I'm glad a lot of members have addressed this, but hearing from a genmate like Bae is a little more comforting. I hope Promise will be alright without their precious Kirin 🫂
Yeah despite the fact she said she was uncomfortable trying to explain the situation. I think she did a good job with just managing worry and reassurance. I'm glad to have heard this from bae as well.
Nah if anything this reinforces the anxiety im feeling. Not everyone wants to be an idol and Cover is moving towards doing more Idol content. So those like Baw who want to be an Idol are benefitting and those who dont fall to the way side.
@@XeroMaverick go outside and touch some grass. vtubers shouldn't have this much of an effect on your life that you're having anxiety issues. It's not the end of the world
Fauna doesn't seem like the type to do that under normal circumstances. But her phrasing do seem well thought through and is loaded with stuff between the lines. We're not to speculate but I do think in her own way, she's giving us the heads up. I'm not trying to jinx anything but we should prepare ourselves for more members that prefer similar things to her follow the same path. I think that might be what fauna was trying to bring out along with her announcement. The reality is that cover is a listed company now and that means liability to share holders.. which also means employees need to conform more.
Bae has already mentioned before that in general, hololive talents know when a graduation is happening in advance. It just might seem like a surprise even to the talents themselves because although they know that someone is leaving they're not told when the exact announcement will drop.
@@MidoriMae I wish people would understand that already, stop blaming the small fish, is the people putting the money the ones who want to be in control and make changes.
@@bluebabble1257 they know a rough time period, mentioned with Myth and Ame, and Jp members. They are told in advance to get the emotions out ahead early to prepare for a warm send off at the very end. The exact date doesn't really happen until management solidifies it or if the talent pursues a quicker deadline. But they do know like "hey in a few months I will be leaving hololive" kinda talk that happens in private. They are only shocked because, like Kiara said before, you know it's gunna happen but you dont wanna believe that it will until it ACTUALLY happens, then it really hits you right then and there. Everyone is different with this situation though; like how Kanata was for Aqua, she balled her eyes out everyday for months despite knowing.
Very thankful for Bae talking about this but also her giving a different perspective that isn't diminishing anyone's feelings on the situation. It really is what it is and things are rough. But things will be okay, we got a month left with dear Fauna and Chloe. And we got so much more time with our other treasures. Make the most of your time
If Bae is still happy with Hololive, then I can be, too. Fauna was my #1 top watched streamer this past year so of course it hurts. But let's try to stay calm and support Fauna and trust her to do what is best for herself. And maybe what's best for her is not the same as what's best for the other girls. So for the next month let's at least try to put on a smile and enjoy every time we can until January 3rd. If you ever played earthbound/mother, let's try to stay strong and remember, "No crying until the end."
I personally don't care anymore. Fauna and Mori are my favorite holo EN members, and now one of them is gone because the company wants "change", I respect that however I am just done with Hololive. I won't get invested in talents which will just be gone every time the company feels like changing so for me at least, while I will continue watching Mori streams, spending a single dime on supporting the current direction will not be part of my plans for the foreseeable future, and I'm sure I am not the only one feeling this way. Hopefully we are getting the worst of it now and they make adjustments in accordance, so that the remaining members can at least be on the safer side.
@@javierflores09 Yea...a company should always prioritize it's employees. Sadly I think the shareholders have gotten a lot of power over hololive's future. While hololive has outwardly treated employees well for a most part, you don't know what is happening behind closed doors. Ame and Fauna are/were huge to HoloEN. I don't want to say the golden days of hololive are over but...someone else can do that for me.. The thing is that Ame, Fauna, Aqua, ect have been in the company for years now so the recent disagreements over "changes" don't appear positive toward the talents imo at least.
At least we can continue to watch Fauna in her next life as an indie. I already subscribed and will be there to support her. Shes amazing and deserves all the support. Anyone that is my oshi, will remain my oshi, even after they become indie.
I'm going to be heartless but truthful here. I'm only sad that collaborations end. The vtuber themselves will be just fine. I think she already has her own model prepared.
Honestly same. It sucks that she's leaving, but I know where she's going afterwards, it isn't that bad. The only sad part is them not being able to collab anymore. But hey! We might get a Fauna Sana collab if we're lucky or something idk.
True, I’m just curious about the nature of the changes as a nosy person. there had to be a sharp change at some point given the flux of grads, or maybe it’s just a contract period thing.
@@I_saw_that956 Seeing as Cover/Hololive already has future projects in progress in a global scale. I'm thinking the members that are backing out, doesn't want to or can't participate in such events that will require them to constantly travel to other countries for work. 🤔
@@ccg2301 that’s a good thought, global travel definitely isn’t for everyone especially for business. Just moving around the us during my dad’s service was annoying, can’t imagine being shipped around the globe repeatedly.
Fauna made it clear it was not being a idol or streaming that caused her to leave, it was management, if people gloss over that and think nothing is wrong then we are heading in the same direction as Nijisanji

While I kind of understand the reason for the secrecy, it's hard to get closure when you don't really know what is going on, and in a way that is where most of the hurt comes from.
Completely agree with you there and it's sucks, but sadly that's how it works. To be brutally honest, we're not really entitled to know I suppose. It's some kind of disagreement between a person and their job, and while we feel like we're close enough to them that we should know everything that's going on, we're literally strangers on the internet. It's like thinking you're entitled to know why a show isn't getting renewed. Or why a specific actor was written off of the latest season. I guess it's just the parasocial nature of the situation that makes people so upset.
We do "know" what's going on though, in a open secret sort of way. The industry wants to move away from streaming and much more into idol content. And a lot of members are not going to be happy with that. I can see Gura being the next big name to go.
Unless its something mega personal i dont understand not sharing. "Fauna did not like Y and we are focusing on Y right now so we are parting ways" Yes people will be angry because this is the internet but right now everyones speculating and throwing around blame instead.
@@Insane_KaneTypically if you resign from your job due to disagreement with your bosses / management, those reasons stay private. Hololive is no different there. There’s an assumption seemingly from everyone that Fauna can’t say anymore, and that might be true, but it’s just as possible she doesn’t *want* to say anything more either. I certainly wouldn’t tell the whole world specific disagreements I’d had with my bosses.
@@KnightofAges I mean, to be fair, she scheduled all that on herself and admitted on this same stream that she put off working on things until the last minute because she thought she'd have time later lol. At least according to the others in EN, they can essentially turn down almost any offer for joining projects or extra work. So as far as I can tell, that narrative people keep bringing up isn't accurate.
@@KnightofAges It's been stated repeatedly by multiple talents that any work they do beyond streaming is by choice. The fact that they are all very ambitious people who often bite off more than they can chew is not a failure of management, who by all accounts frequently encourage the talent to take breaks and not jump on every project that comes their way.
Bruh, take me back to August 2020, when Gen 5 had just debuted, Myth was just around the corner, and I was a starryeyed new fan full of joy and excitement.
same here, but in one point I disagree with Bae. It is really important that the growth is healthy and also there is a limit to it. Some times it is better to be happy with that what you have instead to keep growing for every price. We don't have the insider knowledge to know if there is still room for a healthy growth and I hope they don't overestimate them self. On top I'm really wondering why they did let Fauna go like that because in my eyes she was one of the figureheads of HoloEN (maybe I overestimate her role as a pebble/sapling). At least they should have tried to postpone it because lets be honest HoloEN isn't in such a great shape atm (Ame left recently, Gura is nowhere to be found, Mumei & Ina are also not there) + Chloe's announcement.
@Black-Eye if they have kept Fauna, she would've been unhappy. Like you said, just because she's a figurehead in *your* eyes, does not necessarily make it true for anyone else. I doubt that they'll postpone change just because one or two people are not comfortable with change of direction they're going to. Now, thays not dismissing the fact that maybe it's not affecting other members because maybe it is, but we may never really know. The only thing we have is speculation. You also have to remember, that in end of the day, Cover is still a Company, and will move foward with things that others may disagree with, which is fine. Not everyone has to accept it and may deal with it in different ways. Sorry if this was long to read lol.
@Black-Eye Imo it felt a little bit odd, feels very nijisanji to have talents defend company decisions on stream like that but I'm sure it's not like that
it feels like a heartbreak, like someone you loved breaks up with you, and it's not your fault, they just don't feel like continuing this relationship is possible for ever more :'3
I know it's a tought time for Chloe and Fauna fans out there and I want to let you know that our hearts are with you guys. We all know that graduation will come to our idols at some place and at some time beyond our control. It's ok to be sad, angry even, but cherish what was and what we have left. Change is neither benevolent nor malevolent. I can only hope and pray that they go on to better things.
She basically said the answer lol. Things are changing and they don’t like the changes it’s unfortunate but they’ll still be streaming on different accounts anyways. I think the changes have to do with hololive starting to lean more towards actual idol things like dancing and way less gaming and all of those things
I don't recall Ame citing disagreements with management. Aqua and Chloe mentioned it as one of multiple reasons, in Chloes case mostly health related. I don't know, still feels disingenuous to me to lump them all together.

Thank you for clipping this, I really needed it :D I'm surprised and impressed how grown up Baes answer was without being like a "forced sentence" she learned by heart. Love my brat-rat
These past graduations made me realize that the saddest part is not them going away, but rather the empty spot they leave in Hololive. Because we know they can always choose to come back in the internet, and resume streaming like always. And if not, we know that they're much much happier after leaving a job that was no longer ideal for them. But you can't deny that lingering feeling that this person is missing from a certain place.
It's really the most curious time to speculate though, so many talents not streaming as often, the company from what I understand going public and having to worry about shareholders might be putting too much pressure and restrictions for silly girls who just wanted to stream and do a little idoling on the side. Fauna was the main vtuber I watched and it's the saddest graduation for me but I don't blame her for leaving, I'd do the same especially with how the strat is of them returning to their old accounts after joining holo. Also most have been posting on their old accounts just to keep them active cause they know they will return to them sometime. It's all just interesting to witness.
Shiori also did a good job of addressing all the doom posting going on. The company isn't suddenly sinking or turning black just because a few of the talents left for disagreements. They've been at this for at least a few years, it's not common for people to stay in one place or align perfectly with their work. They built up a good fanbase and they can now move out on their own and manage their content themselves, that doesn't mean the company is suddenly bad. Cover doesn't seem to follow the same patterns as companies that clearly don't care about their workers.
I’ll be honest, this sounds like some “There is no war in Ba Sing Se” bullshit. Is Cover going out of business tomorrow? No, that’s ludicrous however the sheer fact that there are these growing abnormalities happening I.e multiple talents graduating with very little time in between when before Hololive graduations were a relative rarity is something that’s growing increasingly more alarming. Not to mention the issue of “Disagreements with management” seems to be occurring more and more frequently as well. Hololive is a company that exploded in popularity during the pandemic and their primary method of exposure was streaming so for them to suddenly change gears and expect their talent, most of whom likely signed on with the expectation of streaming being their primary job with the idol portion being more of a side portion of the job are getting blindsided. I personally don’t watch the concerts, I’m sure many do but the majority of people tune into the streams. Again, Cover isn’t going out of business right now or even next year but their decision making as of recent is growing more and more concerning and I don’t think they’re going in the right direction. When you ignore what made you, when you begin to focus more on pleasing your investors rather than your customers is the first sign of an unsustainable business.
@@eraserhead6198 Eh not really abnormal. It's actually quite normal for a startup company that became big. No company is perfect, and the more a company grow, the more likely it is to go away from status quo. And with more personnel, disagreements will also happen unavoidably. And this is where people start to leave. While I do believe things need to change to improve retention, as long as Cover is fair to their talents in the most part, they'll be fine. Though I do agree that it doesn't make sense for them to abandon talents that wants to focus on streaming. Is that really the case? Was this confirmed?
@ Theres still ad revenue, super chat, subscriptions and the stream viewers buy merch. To say they aren’t paying customers is wildly inaccurate and ignorant.
@@SilverMystes1 Going away from the status quo and ignoring what caused your growth to explode in the first place is a fast way to absolutely throttle your momentum as a company long term. The shell shock alone is enough to put off your dedicated base. Trying new things whilst retaining what already made you grow is the better option long term because if a vast majority of your consumer base begins to see patterns that are worrying then they’re going to be more apprehensive. Fauna’s departure seems to have caused a massive shot through the heart of EN fans. While she wasn’t as big as some of the Myth girls in terms of subscribers she was still extremely beloved by…shoot almost everyone. So when she graduated that sent shockwaves through the community and her fans who are known for being clingy were devastated. The reason I bring this up is that VTubers and their fans grow very close and there’s emotional investment that cultivates a financial investment. Fans will spend money on the streamers they love and for the longest time people could count on Hololive talent being there relatively long term so they feel more comfortable putting money into that talent.
People don't stay in hololive forever because we all know they will leave one day, so instead of being sad, laugh with them so they can leave as happily as possible
This is true, but this is not exactly what's happening here. There is an apparent shift in how Hololive does things, of which we don't know the specifics, but talents do, since it impacts them fully, and several very different talents don't like those changes and are quitting. Aqua is one of the most serious warning signs, you'd think Aqua could stay in Holo forever and be a cute onion, it's like a dream job. And yet she quit. Again because of "disagreements with management". And now Fauna quits, openly stating "disagreements with management". So no. This isn't just "people come and go". Yagoo had to make Hololive a public company, where any investor could buy its shares. The alternative was to either quit or completely sell the corpo. Can't blame him. But still this is the result. Some random boomer moneybags in Japan will vote for how Hololive will work now, having no idea what vtubing is or means for the people, and not caring about it in the slightest.
@@cjnf11 this is showing that Hololive, as what Bae said, isnt how used to be back then. Every year the company is growing. The cruel reality when in comes to business: Is that business die or prosper? Everything has a price, you win some, you lose some.
@@cjnf11 Its more likely theyre pushing more for the idol side of bussiness, regloss being the start to it, theyre the more idol like group without lore shennanigans, and they probably are making the streamer part being the side part while the idol, concerts and songs will be their main projects, thats propably why a lot of the girls have been moving to japan, and why some have been graduating. This is of course just my speculation from what ive seen from whats happening in hololive and i can see more members going to graduate yet.
Nothing anyone can say will make it any less sad but I'm glad Bae is OK talking about it. I'm just sad bc my 2 favorites voices in EN are Fauna and Bae.
I love Bae so much she's one of my oshis but ngl i feel like that's kinda copium, its clear unless you are blind that things aren't going in a good direction with all of this overworking problems and management disagreements, what is weird is that Bae of all people is saying that when she had various mental breackdown cause overwork on stream... BRUH.... Even Suisei and Miko were talking a while back of how management was going into a direction they didn't really like, specially when talking about the freedom of doing things that previously were normal and now not so much i'm sure you can still find the clip somewhere.
Think of it like this we all join a company for a different reason. Not everyone will stay for a company that long, when your colleagues leave you just glad they move on something better.
I like the Rat (and the Clock/Nephilim/Owl) but I feel like the writing's on the wall for Promise. The corpo world throws around the words "change" and "growth" like the mere presence of those terms automatically makes things fine. There are such things as bad changes, and unsustainable growth. I get the feeling that there's quite a bit of killing the golden goose going on behind the scenes.
The writing is pretty much on the wall at this point. Cover was forced to go public, so things are changing behind the scenes. Talents most likely do not agree with the changes and choose to graduate, or feel they need to. This doesn't feel like the same situation as Nijisanji at all if anyone is worried about that. A disagreement with management on a contract isn't the end of the world and choosing to end a relationship professionally is probably what happened. Contract negotiations fall through all the time in a lot of different places doesn't mean people hate each other souls or there is abuse behind the scenes.
Also just put it out there, Yagoo only has 2 options: either go public or sell, this from an interview with Yagoo which you can go search and read for yourself
@@Lom-RomTo add more, Cover already had shareholders, albeit small ones privately, most likely they are the one telling Yagoo that he either need to sell or go public And the management stuffs has been going on for long time now Coco mentioned that she leaves because of restrictions, and I'm pretty sure with how big Cover has become, the restrictions is getting tighter, and now, the EN side is experiencing the same thing

With all due respect "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is a time tried tradition for most businesses. When you change something that works you break it. History has proven it countless times. That's the business side. If something in the people change then yes that is inevitable. You can't stop those changes. I don't think that's what this is. Except maybe Ame.
As someone raised into corporate work, that’s something the current generation of spoiled first-world businessmen and day traders don’t get anymore. They think they must know better because they make all the money, and if something goes horribly wrong, it’s the fault of the people working the grounds. If you hold the entire industry in the palm of your hand and all your competitors are your own fingers, _why bother practicing good business?_ No need to think things through when you can just extort people for the thing only you and your colleagues in the investment fund can sell.
I mean Bae clearly loves the idol aspect- the singing/dancing/performing. Holo's shift towards a return to that (imo VERY toxic culture) wouldn't bother her as much as it would someone who prefers the more laid back streamer style. Unfortunately for me I am here for the people, not the "pure idol" BS so I'll be following them as they go back to indie streaming
she was at 50k when i subbed yesterday. and from what i've read around, she already grew by 15k at that point. hopefully YT doesn't bonk her for growing that fast.
I really needed to hear this from Bae, it’s very reassuring coming from her and I’m very glad to hear the Mumei is ok. I pray that these next few months get better for everyone. Stay strong saplings, hoomans, and all Hololive fans
That's just how it is I guess. I also experienced my workplace change after the 2 years i've worked there due to management change which forced me to resign and go work somewhere else. So Fauna's decision may be hard to swallow for now but that's just how the world works, if you're uncomfortable at something, then you just have to decide to leave in order to prioritize yourself above all else.
Bae definietely benefits from whatever change Holo is going through while others are not but this is classic damage control. If the girls say it people will eat it up, but hey it works. But I wonder how long it will work once more talents start leaving in the near future.
The talents are defending Cover which makes sense, but obviously some people can't accept it because they are hurt and the explanations are not detailed enough for their satisfaction. Personally, I think it just boils down to whether the ex-talents were wronged enough for them to follow the Dokibird approach and expose the malpractice. If they didn't then maybe it's not that big of a deal. Just some differences that cannot be solved.
Well said bae, I'm going to miss them both but all the speculation is getting out of control already to the point it's kind of scary, we don't know the full details and we probably never will but for now let's focus on sending them both off with a smile rather than grabbing pitchforks
I mean, is it wrong of paying customers to complain and ask questions? Thing is, if Hololive was only a teeny weeny bit more transparent, then they wouldn't be getting these wild speculations. They made the bed so they should lay on it. I completely agree that change IS necessary but they also need to understand the inherent risk associated with that change. They can't have their cake and eat it, too.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was straight up panicking from the reactions some people had. I guess I'm an outlier in that I never single out an oshi and choose to follow multiple Vtubers from time to time, and my lack of disposable income means i usually don't superchat so I don't feel a sense of entitlement monetarily. I just hope that the vibes of the people who support Fauna as well as her genmates and ENmates through the end far outweigh those who let their initial emotions get the better of them. I don't really agree with Cover's direction, but it's much easier on my heart to just adapt and support rather than riot and remain bitter over it.
It sucks, but you put it well, Bae. Changes happen in life and especially in companies. And with changes, there will be hard decisions. I see people attack Cover/Hololive since the Fauna announcement, also on Social media. It's crazy.

I don't think Bae and IRyS are going to leave at any point since this seems like exactly what they want, constant focus on concerts with dance and song.
Remember, for all the negativity surrounding this, the talents are free to tell their feelings and discuss these things. Some agencies will net you with suspension or retraction or blanket news black out.
free is a strong word my dude......they are free to say limited things as long as they don't go into detail. It is understandable that that is how it is, but it is not freedom.
If that was true, the people who left on bad terms would be able to be open about the shennanigans they had to endure behind the scenes but the threat of legal action is always there as a trump card for the company I love hololive, but we can't pretend this sort of legal blackmail is not a thing that happens with confidentiality clauses 🙈
"They're free to tell their feelings and discuss these things" If they were free to do that then none of the graduations would be a surprise, because they would have talked about them.
I remember how I saw the announcment at 2 am and was just in utter shock as it came very unexpected for me. Fauna went straight to the point and before I could digest it the video ended and Bae's Kokoronashi cover got recommended as the next video. I'm lucky that neither of my Oshis have graduated yet and I hope they manage to remain in hololive till I graduate ^^' On that note: Keep fighting sapling!
Thanks to Bae for being as real as she can be, I really appreciate it. But like she said, we'll never get the answer we are hoping to get. Namely to the question, "why?". she said she hopes we're ok with that, and that's fair. And I realize, for me personally, I'm really not ok with that. it bothers me so much that I'll never know why this pillar of community and support is just going to be gone without ever getting an explanation. I can't deal with the grief these graduations bring. So for me personally, I can't get involved again, I can't "get another oshi". It may be a personal failing, but I personally cannot just accept it and move on. I honestly hope others can, for the sake of the other talents and the company, because they bring a lot of good to the world.
It’s good to hear Bae in particular say this, because she’s one I’ve honestly had my eye on for a while who seems to be getting pretty miserably stressed out lately.
Hololive Management: You can talk about it, but you can't say why, be very general about it, dance around the reasons and just not talk about it as you talk about it......
I'm just...I don't know how to feel...Fauna is just...so special. I can't imagine a world without new clips from fellow saplings...I know we'll always have the clips, but...now there's that feeling...y'know?
You should check out lemonleaf. I kinda get what you mean tho, there won't be any new "Fauna" conten, and honestly while she will still continue on her own, it really really sucks that she can't collab with the others from holo en anymore. It's always fun to see what they come up with and their antics in games, the banter and jokes flying all over the place.
I don't know how to correctly express this but what Bae said made me think that while some are ok with the company's changes and some are not, it might have been the case that if things stayed the way they were, others would've graduated instead.
@Frank22lol This is just me speculating, but it may have been a case of who wants to go full-on idol and who wants to stay just as a streamer. I think the company is pushing towards all talents being idols, and the members that would rather not sing and dance and live the idol lifestyle will leave with their current fanbase and return to their indie personas.
@@Baka_MopThis seems to genuinely be where it's heading which seems really strange when the western market is not all that enthralled with plain old idols. Streamers and anime are popular over here but we literally have zero successful idol agencies. The male demographic over here just isn't really into that kind of stuff
It's a double edge sword, they are heading towards a more idol centric focus now. Bae has no problems with it given her talents and she doesnt truly need to take as many classes as frequently as other members. So for her, yes I'd imagine dancing and singing/rapping is not a problem and she is fine. But for others who havent really done it professionally, like Fauna, it may be really taxing on them and it is, I know she enjoys it but it's as a fun thing, not as a job with standards thing. Because they want these girls to be like kpop levels of standard now that they are public and not all of them are going to want to beat themselves over to accomplish that (chloe said her vocal chords hurts), remember these girls aren't like 18-25, some are in their 30s and have never had a career in dance or singing prior. It's like trying to make a pro boxer debut at 30-40 in a dominant scene of early 20s.
@@lunawense6288 Japanese corpos usually don't see beyond their own country in terms of what's popular. That's why alot of the times, if something is extremely popular overseas, like an anime or videgame, but doesn't have much popularity in Japan, it most likely won't get a sequel even if there's a large demand for it overseas.
This is honestly probably one of the more normal graduations. No drama at its roots. While fauna goes to become a tree I'm sure a new bud will grow elsewhere.
I don't know. Saying she's leaving because of management and not because she doesn't want to be in Hololive should make us look at the company a bit more critically.
@@xXSamir44Xx Going public as a company at this point honestly feels like a death sentence since everything becomes so focused on pleasing the investors
i don't want to be negative here but when has the "change" here been seen as positive. manage has been lacking and it's been shown from various talents. All the recent talents graduations due to the direction of the company and management is not a good sign. Instead of pretending it's "growth" we should be looking at and addressing the problems because things are only going to escalate from here. Both from the fans and the talents.
Actually i don’t need to speculate on Fauna because she told us why. Most talents leave us so in the dark (NDA’s fault) that we worry they have stage 4 liver cancer and after speculation find that they actually just had serious (not life threatening) back issues and are going to continue enjoying their life as an artist and streaming when they feel like it. For those of us with compassion, the outcome for someone we love matters.
There always was going to hit a point where talent would start leaving Cover alongside new talent arriving. It sucks but managing your expectations really helps.
Peoples are afraid to lose Hololive, the good old Hololive with all the joy and happiness it brings to them. It's understandable. Me too, I really really hope those changes are not the first steps of Hololive's downfall. But we should all stay calm about it. As a global Holo enjoyer with no specific one oshi, I just want to keep watching and giving supports to all of other talents in Hololive who (I hope) are fine and happy with whatever changes are going on in here. Those changes are not necessary bad, or good neither. And those graduations are happening just because, like she said, changes means disagreements and differences about how people involved see it. Doesn't necessary means that something DARK is happening beyond the scene. I'm sure this situation is difficult for other talents in Hololive who possibly genuinely want to stay, so let's just give them support and love instead of bringing up some negative theory crafts about stuff we don't have enough information about. And just hope that things will end up in a good way with still a lot of fun and love in the future !
I get she's trying to be positive but to be honest that "Change means growth." line of thinking sounds like, legitimately, unhealthy levels of cope. A person/organization can grow a lot without changing much. They can change a lot without growing at all. To conflate the two, let alone assume it's inherently positive, seems like a dangerous line of thought to me.
Change means growth is corporate line my job used that exact line last year before a round of layoffs. Likely everything she said was from a script it reeks of PR.
I'm inclined to agree. I'm sure she means well and she isn't unaffected herself, so I won't judge how much cope this is, but the part going from "change means growth" felt less like validation of feelings and more like a reminder that cry as we may for *some* time, society expects that one gets up and moves on (or at least silences the tears) eventually, else ... one would be invalid later when the change is on and one hasn't followed along.
I feel like a lot of younger people have bought into this philosophy. Old = bad, New = Good is a quick way to make your entire culture crumble to nothing
@@Ausdrake I'm opening a can of worms by replying to this, but this in general depends a lot on what the existing culture is and what the change is. For example, Niji revealed that a lot of things about Japan in general needs changing.
I just wish og/ graduates can call talents on totsumatchi, i don't want the last few on the agency celebrate their milestones without anyone coming like what happened on kurosanji.
The issue never really started because of the recent two graduations. The issue really came to light when we had the double Magni/Vesper sudden graduation. That's when things really started showing itself on the EN side. And then we had a string of graduations/terminations. Gura just streams once or twice a month on average nowadays (excluding special events). Even A-chan is gone. And I get it, fans are not really entitled to anything. But at one point it just gets frustrating. Recently, even the always-chill Altare got heated up because the boys get so little support from the company. Honestly, given zero explanation combined with all of these events, then the amount of speculation I am seeing online (at least on the relatively sane side) is perfectly warranted.
I wish Hololive would go ahead and change already; this half and half situation where only new members stream before they're thrown into the idol grinder is tiresome
I’m really happy to hear bae say “I’m very happy” and it makes me feel better I still have stress over not seeing Mumei and Gura for a while but idk they have their own path. I assume the disagreements were related to travel to and from Japan since honestly idk what Fauna could be upset about she just seems so nice but you never know maybe she was really angry that her shade of green was going to change or something XD. It definitely hurt when Fauna said she really wanted to stay but it could not be helped. I love fauna and I feel like she is the warm embrace I used to fall asleep at night. And I will miss her…but I’m so worried about a cascade. I really don’t want 2025 to be the new death year for Hololive. So, hearing Bae say “I’m really happy” makes me hope a lot of other people are happy too.
On the one hand, I'm not sure what good speculating can possibly do. On the other hand, it's impossible not to. When we're not given details, our minds will wander and search for meaning. Other possibilities that come to mind besides mandated travel are: changes to how game permissions or streams work; restrictions on content (censorship), collab partners, or talking about partners (like, spouse kind of partners); revenue sharing (money) negotiations; frustration at projects being cut or changed at the last minute; or general mistakes/failures from staff not being addressed (there are numerous examples from various talents). These may all be completely off base, though. That's the danger of speculation. The vibe I get from the videos around Aqua's departure are that the company is becoming more risk-averse and more restrictive. But even if that's right, as Bae says, there are plenty of people who can thrive in that environment.
I don't really agree with this take. Yes, change is necessary, but that does not mean that change is always good. Also, even if all we have is rumors, we still need to express our feelings about this. If the rumors are true and the push for more profit ruined the job for fauna, then the community needs to be vocal about this. Otherwise, the company could just go ahead and continue to change for the worse. I'm not saying it is, but it might. Obviously, Bae can't say anything like this, so I'm not mad about this at all.

Fauna doesn't seem like the type to do that under normal circumstances. But her phrasing do seem well thought through and is loaded with stuff between the lines. I'm not trying to jinx anything but we should prepare ourselves for more members that prefer similar things to her follow the same path.

But they do know like "hey in a few months I will be leaving hololive" kinda talk that happens in private. They are only shocked because, like Kiara said before, you know it's gunna happen but you dont wanna believe that it will until it ACTUALLY happens, then it really hits you right then and there. If Bae is still happy with Hololive, then I can be, too. Fauna was my #1 top watched streamer this past year so of course it hurts.
I can see Gura being the next big name to go.

same here, but in one point I disagree with Bae.

@@eraserhead6198the concerts goers are paying customers. Most of the stream viewers are not.
"change means growth" not always little bae, not always.
Sounded like Corpo PR speak ngl
Change can mean growth, HOWEVER... Change can also lead to regression
Just like some marriages.. no abuse, just disagreements.
This was really helpful. Thank you Bae ❤
The pain just means you're still alive...

Sorta why i hate how Nijisanji tainted the graduation process. Now the community at larger is looking for some sort of scandal or someone to blame.
Also just put it out there, Yagoo only has 2 options: either go public or sell, this from an interview with Yagoo which you can go search and read for yourself
@@Lom-RomTo add more, Cover already had shareholders, albeit small ones privately, most likely they are the one telling Yagoo that he either need to sell or go public

Tell that to the investors
As someone raised into corporate work, that’s something the current generation of spoiled first-world businessmen and day traders don’t get anymore. They think they must know better because they make all the money, and if something goes horribly wrong, it’s the fault of the people working the grounds.
If you hold the entire industry in the palm of your hand and all your competitors are your own fingers, _why bother practicing good business?_ No need to think things through when you can just extort people for the thing only you and your colleagues in the investment fund can sell.

But I wonder how long it will work once more talents start leaving in the near future.
i like how its called graduation but really its just getting fired/retiring which can often be the same thing

I do wonder how many people have to leave before the company realizes that there's a serious problem that needs to be addressed.
Now we only have 3 members of HoloCouncil. Thank you Fauna for being our oshi 💚💚💚

I love Bae's view on change, and that she reassured us that things are still pretty gucchi. Appropriate considering rats are very adaptable creatures.
Because they want these girls to be like kpop levels of standard now that they are public and not all of them are going to want to beat themselves over to accomplish that (chloe said her vocal chords hurts), remember these girls aren't like 18-25, some are in their 30s and have never had a career in dance or singing prior. i don't want to be negative here but when has the "change" here been seen as positive. manage has been lacking and it's been shown from various talents. All the recent talents graduations due to the direction of the company and management is not a good sign. Instead of pretending it's "growth" we should be looking at and addressing the problems because things are only going to escalate from here. Both from the fans and the talents.
Yeah good luck with that lol😂
*sighs* time flies so fast,so much memories from debut to now.
Everything is fine until it isnt.

@@Ausdrake I'm opening a can of worms by replying to this, but this in general depends a lot on what the existing culture is and what the change is.

Bae is doing well in convincing and good at helping us cope. thanks. hehe
