To be honest, I don’t have time to watch holomem streams (engineer’s life suck), but I DO listen to their songs for hours and hours while working on a project (since I’m a Hako oshi, I have +500 Hololive songs and covers on a RUclips Music playlist and +400 on Spotify lol). I’m really glad that I can still support them with what I can offer!

Indonesia has an extremely low cost of living. Assuming these girls get paid anywhere near as much as JP and EN, they're legitimately making bank. I doubt there's much opportunity better than that in Indonesia.
Edit: literally costs 4 times more money per month on average to live in the US compared to Indonesia, for example.
Even with a Latin salary you still have a good pay for Indonesia (although it is only a little more than an intermediate salary)
Yep that's why there's a huge waves of expat moving to Indonesia recently because they realized they can buy/build a house/villa and enjoy their lives indefinitely as long as they have moderate amount of saving or pension
As an Indonesian, I’ll explain my perspective. It’s true that living in Indonesia is much cheaper compared to living abroad. With a "global" income, it’s more than enough to live comfortably in Indonesia. However, most of them live in Jakarta, which is essentially Indonesia's version of New York, Washington D.C., and L.A. combined. The cost of living there is significantly higher, especially compared to rural areas in Indonesia.
I believe every ID girl has dreams, and to achieve those dreams, they must spend "global" costs as well-for things like streaming equipment, studios, MV animations, etc. When comparing the quality of MVs produced by ID with EN and JP, the difference is significant. Why? Because the costs incurred are proportional to their income.
I believe that no ID girls have graduated yet because they still need funds to achieve their goals and dreams. What I want to convey is that we should also support the ID girls so they can achieve their dreams. I’m using ChatGPT because I’m not fluent in English, but I hope my message gets across. Thank You.
Indonesia's living cost is variable depends on what lifestyle you choose, but still considered cheap. In big cities, you can really save money by living poorly with $1 per single meal, but being stingy to yourself is not a healthy lifestyle with those high carbs, oily, high salt/sugar ingredients.
Any normal middle class would aim for $2-$4 per meal to consume healthy proteins, veggies, and fruits. For just $4 we can already expect high quality meals, and this is where I think Indonesia trully shines the most.
And I was only talking about food here. The expense of other things like secondary and tertiary needs also went up if you're looking for certified safe and healthier products.

Brings up a good point. Showing up to a YT premiere MV from your oshi is one thing, but the clicks that come AFTER the premiere always look better by comparison. Even considering the SC revenue during premiere, there's more to be earned across all streaming platforms if people just listen to it a lot. And if it ends up on an album, buy it (within your means)! Music is what put Hololive on my radar, and I always try to support that avenue of their content as much as I can.

This is a good clip because it was an old clip from Moona where I first saw it start to be explained how the payment structure works in Hololive. Basically, covers are just done for fun and to get your name out there but lose you money whereas your own original music is way to actually make money. Also, the fact that the talents have the opportunity to do larger products which are basically paid for upfront by Hololive and then they can simply chose to have their wages garnished over the course of several months to pay it back is probably one of the biggest advantages over being an indie who has to pay for everything themselves upfront. Cleary, you CAN still do big projects as an indie if you're popular enough but that could be quite the burden to bear all at once.

She just want to chill & stream and management is okay with that. If management is that lax & flexible, then talents who soon graduated due to disagreement must be some serious stuff unrelated to high working hours.
It's a well known, not-so- secret knowledge, that any company/enterprise wanting to operate/establish a branch or two in ID should comply to our (govt) rules, that's why literally every foreign company/enterprise branches that operates in ID always have their own rules & regulations
Classic examples are these industries:
-automotives (cars, motorcycles etc)
-engineering (robotics, mobile devices etc)
-manufactures (instant products etc)
-auxiliary (home appliances etc)
-entertainment (TV channels, idol culture etc)
Us ID peeps had enough with foreign business monopolies & jargons, Hololive (and Jpop/Kpop culture in general) is no exception in this sense..😌

With EA it's obviously greed, but even than, even if it's because of greed, Shareholders don't care about the company, if the shares tank, they'll just sell them and invest in something else, so they'll priorities short term gain over anything else, where as in the long run a company would make more money, but they don't have any reason to have a steady increase.
