You have done it again!!!! 🙃You perfectly express the energy and joy of the song and the solo, especially at the end, playing alone...you make it a contagious joy: Oh, yeah!!! Well chosen song and fantastic solos. Congratulations!!!! While I´m waiting for mOOre...
Thank you for the kind words. It's all about the joy of playing good music. If these videos can inspire somebody to play more then they will have served their purpose. Stay tuned next week.
I have to tell you... I listened to a few folks/ lessons giving their interpretation of this song as I would like to learn it. I finally scrolled on to find yours. Because Ive listened to these solos over 1000 times in my life, I automatically hear the authentic from the incorrect. You have it down as perfect as could posssibly be done. THEN!, as you took over the organ, and the bass solos with the same precision, I was laughing my ass off. Then the outro and you ended by yourself when YOU decided YOU were done. Then that last chord. I couldn't stop laughing as it was all so perfect. Outstanding job my friend! And Thank you! Ciao! God bless!
You are one of the best. authentic, trying to hold on to the original, and you r succesful with that. If I can make a wish...lol... Child In Time from Made in Japan..then I can put my old body to rest....Thanks a lot
Absolutely nailed it! I have listened to this song so many times over the years, I know it note for note. You sounded like the just like Ritchie himself. (no easy feat I might add). I have only just discovered your page, and now have another subscriber. Cant wait to hear more of your covers. Cheers, mate.
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight well, of course, you did such an excellent job on this tune and made it look so darn easy - which is the joy of it - since I would think playing a guitar and Blackmore type riffs is anything but easy . Love your stuff !!!
Great job you do on those songs. Love to see your covers man, they always sound brightful! It'd be a pleasure to see you do a cover of Fly To The Rainbow. Well done!
I only clued in recently that part of the uniqueness of Ritchie Blackmores sound (correct me if I'm wrong) was that he seemed to have a predominantly upstroke-based picking technique. I'm probably exposing my ignorance on a subject I never really paid attention to since the seventies. But, obviously you nailed it... And, damn son, you got some girthy frets on that Strat!
I usually alternate between headphones and studio monitors. Most recording and playing is done in calibrated phones and then I double check on real speakers for reference & balancing.
Amazing playing. Ive watch all your videos already! Im always surprised about the quality tone. You should do a brief video on ur fx chain and how you get that classic strat spanky tone. Would love to know how to dial it
Congrats Peter. The funny thing is that except Ritchie's parts , you cover note for note Roger's part ( 3.58 - 4.11 🙂 ). Also Jon's ( 3.32 - 3.42 just amazing 👏👏) .Keep covering man !
Very nice playing and tone. Out of curiosity, what string brand and pick materials/gauges do you use? And do you change that depending on the song and tuning?
Thank you. I've always been a 9-42 guy. Always tune down to Eb to get lower tension and a slightly darker response. As my hands age lighter gauge/tension has become increasingly important. Brand is usually Fender "Original" (not "Super") Bullets. If I can't get those, it's GHS boomers, just because they're ubiquitous in Swedish supply stores. For songs in A440 I used to retune the guitar in my earliest videos, but nowadays I just pitch down the track because it's quicker. Hope this helps.

Jon Lord part on Guitar wow!
So sehe ich das auch!
Roger Glover's bass solo is so sick!!

Ciao! God bless!
beautifully written comment, everything you said I was thinking myself. Dude knocked it out of the ballpark, if not the whole stadium
Organ and bass guitar solos also played on guitar. Fantastic.
What a gem..this song is one of the absolute best songs in rock history. Just perfect.
Well done, sir.
Thank you. Agree, it is a gem.
Jesus Christ on a stick. This is nuts. Subscribed.
A bad day can be made into a good day by a new Classic Solo Spotlight upload :) Great stuff.
Ahh, warms my heart :-)
Never thought of the day someone would cover this but Mr. Lidström does it admirably perfectly ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Damn! Are you for real??
I can’t believe what I just saw!
Excellence is an understatement!
👍👍👍 all solos! Respect!

Woah, that was better than awesome mind blowing 🤯 great job👍
Absolutely well done Peter 👏
Why thank you sir
God, what a killer tone. Playing is absolutely clean and precise, as always. Spot on
Thanks. Glad you liked the tone. Those Fortin amps seem to work well for the Blackmore stuff.
you nailed it, make one realize the genius of Ritchie Blackmore
Ritchie would be as pleased seeing your right hand as he would your left. ("Up, down; up down.")
Please keep these coming. 😊
Thats the way to do it. More Ritchie coming soon

Wow! Brilliant!
A spectacular solo, brilliant I’d say. You have an undeniable talent for playing one of my all time favorite tunes. My full applause 👏 .
Thank you sir. Cheers

COOL!!!
Que zarpado !!!! Me voló la peluca!
Wowzers!
Great job you do on those songs. Love to see your covers man, they always sound brightful! It'd be a pleasure to see you do a cover of Fly To The Rainbow. Well done!
Thank you for the kind words. I love the classical intro to "Fly".
Muito bom🤘🤘🤘
You have some of the best videos on whole YT... congrats!!! 👋👋👋💪💥
Thank you for the kind words
More guitar than I remember. Wow,maybe I'll give it a go. I still love your little savage best, it's brutal as hell. 🎸🌪🎸 🦈🌪🦈
Sick playing brother! You didn’t miss a single note.
Thanks
Great job!!
You are the real deal gentleman, always a great interpretation, cheers.
Thank you my good fellow.
Perfect! Well done Maestro!!
Thank you.
drum inspiration for "Over the Mountain" intro and maybe guitar inspiration for "Light Up the Sky" intro?
That's what I was thinking
Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!
Full colour 🎼🎹🎸
respect!
Could you do Ritchie's solo in Child in time? Would be great to see your interpretation. Great playing and videos, thanks!
That is a nice solo indeed. Happy to do it if more people request it
Nice finishing man , '' Strange kind of woman '' opening 😄
Aha! You win the prize for most discerning listener of the week! For a while there I thought nobody would notice...
I only clued in recently that part of the uniqueness of Ritchie Blackmores sound (correct me if I'm wrong) was that he seemed to have a predominantly upstroke-based picking technique. Girthy and dirty ... just to annoy the maintenance perfectionists ;-)
Thanks!
You're welcome!
👏👏
I was wondering while I watch your amazing videos is if you use headphones ,frfr cab or studio monitors when playing.
I usually alternate between headphones and studio monitors. Most recording and playing is done in calibrated phones and then I double check on real speakers for reference & balancing.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind.

Thanks! Yes, the bass break sort of became one of those Gilbert/Sheehan duet things. Instead of just sitting there, might as well play it...
Weird you have not done the cover of Spotlight Kid by Rainbow 😅 crazy solo
Can you do Shimmering Highs by John Norum
Dont know it too well, sorry.
Very good job guy ! Only Ritchie would be able to criticize that ! But you should'nt listen to, he's like that...😄
Haha, so true :-)
@@ClassicSoloSpotlight
reaaly hoping see you on any Rory Gallagher's cover soon !
Excellent . How you do to avoid banner from YT?
Covers are 100% allowed.
Hero. What about a Stormbringer cover?
Good one, I'll make a note of it.
What bridge pickup is that? Nice playing :)
Very nice playing and tone. Out of curiosity, what string brand and pick materials/gauges do you use? And do you change that depending on the song and tuning?

I wish for DP Dealer solo
Sounds great. What DiMarzios are in the strat?
Dimarzio Protrack, Fender single in the neck
Fuckin' ell !!! Nailed it !!!
Version yngwie please, inspiration album
Do Rat Bat Blue!
Is this Ritchie Blackmore…?
Show off :)
It was brilliant untill the organ solo kicked in, then it became orgasmic! Chapeau maestro.
Glad to hear that, thank you!
